Staff was great, room was clean, beautiful location by the river, good breakfast at the restaurant. Hot tub was disappointing- not hot, the jets splashed you in the face, and the chlorine burned your eyes so intensely we had to leave. I like to fill up my water bottle when they have a bottled water dispenser at the workout room but they obviously just fill it back up from the tap- it tasted awful.

I booked this property for the new year- 2 nights stay. I am listing the reasons I will never be back to this property: 1. The hot tub was out of service for our whole stay 2.The pool water was so unclean and also cold for the winter time. 3. The whole 9 story hotel had 2 elevators which one of them was out of service and during the new year eve, we had to climb up the stairs since we got tired of waiting, many other hotel guests did. 4. The breakfast area was soooo cold, I asked a staf if any of the windows were open; she said no and said she felt the same and she caught cold. 5. We paid for the breakfast buffet and it wasn’t bad. But during one of our breakfast buffets, they ran out of the bowls and we had to use the take out bowls for our kids. I have to add that, expedia supported us for the pool conditions and we received a partial refund. We booked this hotel since it had a pool option and without that option in the winter time, we didn’t know how to update our trip plan for kids entertainment.

Location for the property was excellent!! Staff was great only problem was the pool had so many chemicals we couldn’t stand to be in the room and my kids eyes were burning and swallowing up they had to get out. So they were very upset when I had to say no more swimming. You can imagine how well that went over

We went on NYE, I booked a room w a balcony thinking that we could watch the fireworks over the falls at midnight. I even spoke with someone at the reception desk before I booked. The hotel was extremely busy, which is fine because it was New Year's and there was a wedding. For as large a hotel as it was, the elevator situation was insane. We were waiting 10+ for the elevator. We were unable to see the fireworks from our balcony. It was very loud in our room since we were I'm assuming, right above the reception hall (until about 1am). There were also cobwebs on the ceiling of our room. The bathroom was beautiful and the shower was spacious. The beds were comfortable. And the staff were friendly. I wasn't wowed for the price but it was okay.

Great location within easy walking distance of the falls via walking paths through the river front park. Excellent restaurant and bar on first floor with indoor/outdoor seating. Nice pool and hot tub on lower level. Very friendly staff.

Typically I do not write reviews, good or bad. I am compelled to write this one. Having traveled around the world and staying in 1000s of hotels and the majority of Hilton brand, this location was a disappointment especially for what we paid. The room was very out dated with worn furniture from what appeared to be the 90s. The bathroom was updated however one of the dirtiest I have seen This included trash on the floor when we entered, long hair in the sink, shower and clumps of it with tons of dirt and dust under the bathroom pedestal (discovered when I dropped something and it bounced under there). The walk in shower had dirty grout, mold and soap.shampoo build up not cleaned up. The general property was fine but check in was slow. The room next to us had people smoking which is inconsiderate for a property billed “non-smoking”. The room is something b I would expect from an ancient “mom & pop”” roadside motel renting for $69 a night vs. the $450 I paid (including parking you need to pay for). Many other better choices in the area. It’s only saving grace was only the location. Hilton has let me down prior as they aren’t keeping up with the competitors. It looks like to to change my alliances….

The only thing good about this place was their cookies. Three people and only 1 chair, only 2 towels. We always had to ask for more. I was there 4 days and only one bed in the room was made two times. Shower gel way empty. Had to ask twice for some. Even the last day they had not replaced it. Cleaning service was terrible.

We paid extra for a jacuzzi room. However, when we turned the jets on, bugs/larvae were ejected into the tub. It was really gross and ruined the whole point of the jacuzzi. The rest of the hotel (staff, bed, location) was good, but the whole reason we chose the Doubletree and more expensive room was the tub that we couldn’t even use. The Doubletree refused any sort of partial refund, both when I asked in person and when Hotels.com reached out on my behalf.

Cleanliness in the rooms are horrible. There are spider webs behind the headboard with live spiders in them. Please check your room for spiders and other insects before you move in. We were initially allotted rooms 213 and 215. Both rooms had live spiders in them... When asked to change the room, we were shown a room on the 4th floor which had a black spider running across the carpet. Manager told me that the property is close to the river , hence, insects could come into the rooms... umm... what ?? Carpets are dirty as hell.... My advice , 1. Please check your room for cleanliness 2. Check the area around headboards for spiders, especially where it meets the carpet. 3. If the area smells of dampness (like ours did) , please move to another room as there could be insects in there. 4. Check the mattress for bed bugs as well. (cleanliness is not upto the standard, I wont take a chance)

Out of all the Doubletrees we stayed at on this trip, this one far exceeded the others. The check-in/check-out process was quick, our room had a beautiful view of the river, and was easily located to the Falls and surrounding restaurants. The room was spacious, and the shower was huge. I loved the small touch with the night light in the bathroom. And like all Doubletree locations, the warm cookies are amazing. I don't know where they get them but they are soooo delicious. I think I will be staying at Doubletree from here on out.

After booking a rather last-minute room here for a quick weekend trip to Niagara Falls, we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The location was perfect, and we were assigned a 9th floor river view room with an amazing view. The staff were very kind and helpful at the front desk for check-in and check-out. This hotel is very close to Niagara Falls State Park and Seneca Niagara Casino, both within walking distance or a short drive. We will be sure to stay here again in the future and will definitely request a 9th floor room again for the views.

We got the river-facing rooms and were quite content with the views from the 7th and 8th floors + the proximity from everything else. The neighborhood felt very safe even after dark. The rooms are big but old-ish. Air-conditioning is old style so they make a loud noise when the compressor turns on. My only problem was the service. I had read mixed reviews about the staff already and totally understand why. I communicated with two front desk reps - one was extremely polite (Josh) and the other (name not known) lacked grace. I was also required to make multiple trips to pick up my own creamers and waters - of which waters apparently weren’t supposed to be given out. I was told that I might want to reconsider asking for any again because I could piss some staff member off. I mean I booked two rooms for two nights at $350 a night. The service felt subpar even for a budget hotel.

Rooms clean. Super comfy mattress, pillows, and duvet, but mattresses are on wooden platforms that are bigger than the mattress, so there are exposed sharp corners that I banged my knees on several times. Very painful! Bathroom door had a super loud and prolonged squeak, which they fixed as soon as I reported it. Nightstand lamp missing one of two bulbs, which they also attended to right away. However, since they didn’t have the correct bulb, they gave us a whole new lamp. This lamp only came with one bulb, so didn’t get the lighting boost I was hoping for. Also, the charging outlet in the new base didn’t work. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant very good and front desk staff very friendly and helpful. The person they call a concierge seems to just want to sell you tours. The one we spoke to didn’t know anything (or perhaps didn’t want to tell us) about attractions on the Canadian side. Not as close to the falls as other hotels, but a 15 min walk isn’t horrible.

Out of all the Doubletrees we stayed at on this trip, this one far exceeded the others. Went to check into the hotel with my children for a weekend cheer competition. I was told the reservation was cancelled by the hotel 30 minutes prior to arriving. I was told that they tried to charge a card on my account prior to my arrival and the card was expired so they cancelled it. I also had a valid card linked to my account that they did not try. I was not notified about any of this until we were trying to check in. Then we were told that the rooms were all booked and they had already given our room up. The booking was still showing up in Expedia as booked. No notification of cancellation. No apologies or anything from the hotel manager. Very poor experience.

The young woman who worked at the reception desk when we arrived at around 10pm was absolutely incredible. She was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and hospitable, and got us into our room as quickly as possible. She upgraded our room for us and gave us a free parking pass after she found out we were newly wed that day and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. I don’t remember her name, but she had a slight English accent - please let her know we appreciate her help!

Check in wasn’t great. The line was long and slow to move, then our room wasn’t ready (about 4:20p), so we waited for about 45 min in the lobby :/ Staff was very pleasant tho. Room was great, clean. Had a nice view of the river. Bummer that hotel patrons still have to pay for parking, but cost is reasonable compared to other lots in town. Keep in mind they open the parking to non-hotel patrons too, so parking can be slim. Very walkable location, convenient to the falls (about 10 min walk). Plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops nearby. I would stay there again.

It was within walking distance of the falls. When we arrived . Immediate check in. The personnel front desk people were very pleasant. Lol..they greet you with chocolate chip cookies which were like right out of the oven that they would make even the cookie monster stay there. Also the concierge was excellent and extremely helpful. He booked our tour and was very imformative.! Not to mention great honors to brian white our tour guy, he was amazing. Also the resturant at the hotel was excellent along with the staff. I would recommend the double tree hotel to anyone. Ps...going home molded into a cookie monster..many thanks to expedia for making our trip a success. This is why we always choose expedia!

This hotel was clean and the staff members were friendly. Loved the warm/fresh cookies they gave us at check-in. Breakfast buffet was really good but pricey ($22 per person). We walked to Niagara Falls the first day and it was around 15 minutes. The next night we walked to downtown area with food trucks / shopping, etc. So, overall, location was great.

When we first pulled up to the hotel we were very pleased with its proximity to and view of the river, and the fact that it was set apart from the noise and bustle of the business and tourist areas. The check-in process was quick and pleasant and the staff very friendly and courteous. The warm chocolate chip cookies we were offered at the front desk was the most pleasant of surprises and was symbolic of our whole stay there, which was easily the best hotel experience we've ever had. The view from our room was fantastic, and being able to leave our room and within a minute be walking in the park along the river was the best thing ever! It was the perfect way to celebrate my wife's birthday. We have decided that whenever we come to Niagara Falls, we won't stay anywhere else. Thanks Doubletree Hilton!

We stayed here for 2 nights for New Years Great hotel. We ate at their Restaurant for both breakfast and New Years Dinner. Breakfast you have a choice of the breakfast buffet or you can order off the menu. We chose the 2 egg breakfast with all the trimmings. It was delicious. We were a little disappointed in the New Years Eve menu of surf and turf. The steak was delicious the lobster tail was very small with the shell off. Looked like the lobster tail was cut in half. 3 spears of asparagus. That was a disappointment for 75 US. We like this property and would certainly go back again.

The breakfast buffet was priced at $19.95, which was a bit higher than we anticipated ($15). Unfortunately, the quality of the buffet did not meet our expectations for a 4-star hotel. Despite this, our overall experience was positive. I especially enjoyed the shower, and the chocolate chip cookies provided at check-in and check-out were a delightful touch.

Great location that allows for peaceful walks along Niagara River to the Falls. Easy parking. While wait staff at restaurant seemed overwhelmed due to influx of guests for the eclipse, they were all friendly, worked hard and were attentive. The restaurant has really good food, I’d put it up against most of the stand alone restaurant options in the area.

Hotel was located close to the river, Falls and shopping centers. Parking lot was large and short walk to hotel. Room was clean and the food at the hotel restaurant was really good (nice option on the nights you don't want to venture out to find a restaurant). The only con was that that the heating system would make a lot of noise as it cycled on and off during the night so we eventually turned it off.
