Acadia Ocean View Hotel

Great place super close to Bar Harbor and Acadia Trails- coffee and blueberry muffins are amazing - loved the pool too :)

Appears to be recently renovated. Room is spacious and nice. Beds very comfortable. Easy to check in with snacks. Ocean view from the room. Pool was warm and refreshing even in September. Only negative would be the bathroom is slightly small. But air conditioning gets super cold and shower gets really hot. Worth the money.

Great remodeled, modern facility with coastal charm. Staff is extremely helpful and kind. Shuttle is provided hourly to Bar Harbor village upon request. Lobby is open 24 hours with coffee, teas and snacks. Pool is heated and refreshing.

Beautiful view of the ocean from our room. Staff could do a better job of communicating transportation options in the area. Hotel was supposed to have a shuttle, but there was no driver the first 2 days of our stay. We took an Uber but could not get one (or a taxi) back. Finally were told about the free bus that transports people all over the island and we were dropped at our hotel.

The pool is heated on the chilly nights.

The shuttle service isn’t reliable and customer service isn’t great. I booked this motel based on reviews and photos but it’s not worth the money. It’s supposed to be at every hour with us calling to confirm when we need the shuttle. I told them in person I’ll need the shuttle service to Bar Harbor and back to the motel. To go it wasn’t an issue as it starts at the motel. But they made me wait around an hour in a dark alley in Bar Harbor. I called them at 8:40pm to let them know I’d need the shuttle service at 9pm. They said okay no problem we’ll come and pick you up at 9. (They hung up before me too) I was there at the meet up spot which is in an alley before 9 to be sure I wasn’t going to miss the shuttle. I was there around 8:45 pm. As they were still not there at 9:10pm I called back asking if they were close by at it was past 9. They said: “oh the driver didn’t leave yet” “he’s leaving now, I just told him” and they hung up again right away without waiting for me to say something or proper phone customer service. He arrived around 9:40 ish. I was exhausted from my day and he confirmed they forgot about me even though I told them in advance in person and then by phone I’d need the shuttle service to come back to the motel. There’s plenty of closer motels and hotels to Bar Harbor and the National Park. I recommend booking elsewhere and be at a walking distance from Bar Harbor.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was a perfect location - close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park without the hastle of all the crowds. We had a group of 13 so we had 4 rooms all next to each other. Wonderful views, and very quiet. Staff was amazing. We took advantage of the breakfast snacks every morning. The kids loved the pool. The porch facing the view was a great meeting place and relaxing way to gather. Would definitely recommend to anyone heading to the area.

The pool and grounds were a perfect place to relax after spending the day out, with a beautiful view from our room! Minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia.

Quiet with great view of the water. Easy and free parking. Clean room, not huge but just right.

The view of the ocean was great and the place very quiet better than being directly in the city. The Free Shuttle to the town was very appreciated. We gave volontarly a tip to the young men with our great thanks. Only one problem: we realize that passing through Expedia was more expensive than a reservation directly with Acadia Ocean view hotel.

Booked this as a last minute stay and we were so happy with our decision! It was so cozy and clean, and staff were very friendly!

We had a very short 1-night stay for a quick trip to Acadia National Park. The hotel was a good location for entrance to Acadia. Front desk staff was not friendly or helpful. The room was very basic which was just what we needed but small if you have large luggage. We found spiders and spider webs in the lamp shade. The included breakfast was very minimal-a few muffins, oranges and a few packets of cereal-items including the juice were out but they did not seem interested in refilling. This hotel also has an earlier than normal check out time of 10 am. Also for a note there is no EV charging stations at this hotel.

Sunrise views and a pristine pool just a few miles from Acadia are the highlights but the stay was not perfect. Staff was not responsive and there was an apple rotting under the bed but the view in the morning was amazing. Why no microwave or coffee maker in the room? Trips to the lobby are no way to start the day!

This had an incredible view, was relaxing and a 10 min drive to Bar Harbor. Rooms were very clean and spacious.

Very nice quiet clean motel convenient to Bar Harbor and ANP. Heated pool was a bonus. Breakfast was more than adequate. We would stay here again.

They need more than one trash can, beds were too far from the nightstand, no hair dryer in the room, no coffee pot on room and breakfast was sparse and coffee was cold. Wonderful view.

Hotel was nice but our room was very small. No place to hang anything and it was definitely not ocean view as we had booked.

This was a nice place to stay. Pros: This place was very close to downtown as well as Acadia National Park! The pool was very pretty and had a great view. Cons: the standard queen room was extremely small, the shower was the smallest shower I’ve ever been in. Pictures were a little deceiving. All and all good for the price!

The location and view were great. However, i wouldn’t book here again specifically because of the bathroom. The shower was really small, similar to an RV shower and there was no counter space in the bathroom at all, so all cosmetics, hairdryer, etc had to be kept in the bedroom.

Beautiful view with a lovely outdoor seating area. Room was adequate, no chair in the room and shower was so small you could hardly turn around. This was a room with a single queen bed so maybe other rooms are better set up.

Stayed in an ocean view room with a front deck. Beautiful view and quiet surroundings. Room had great sheets and towels. Little space to put toiletries and no closet/space for 2nd bag in a queen room for 2 people.

Overall stay was fine. This is more of a fixed up motel than a hotel. Room was spacious & clean with recent renovations. Bathroom was older. Had some lipstick put on it but not a full renovation. Room had excellent views but not of the ocean. It overlooks Frenchman’s Bay. This is 4-5 miles from Bar Harbor so not good if you don’t plan on having a car

Good location just out of town, with distant views of the ocean and a nice pool. Rooms have low ceilings but have been recently refurbished and are clean and tidy. Large chest of drawers but no wardrobe or hanging space. Free morning coffee and ‘grab and go’ breakfast.

We loved this place. The staff was incredibly helpful and so friendly! Rooms were very clean a d comfortable great view, perfect location. Comfortable bed. We will definitely stay again in the future.

Staff does not make you feel welcome. Would not make Decaf Coffee for my husband in the evening or in the morning. They should not be in customer service

The king size bed and the views are amazing. The hotel is in a good location for access to the park and a short drive to town. We had issues with the tv. The staff quickly addressed the issue within minutes.

Room was great and our stay was pleasant. The front desk staff however wasn't very helpful. And the morning that we were leaving, I fell over a wooden block that was at the door holding the door open for someone else, getting a huge cut on my shin. The person working at the front desk never asked if I was OK or if I needed anything. This wouldn't stop me from staying there again or recommending the hotel to someone else. But customer service goes a long way.

Great view, nice property. Girls at the front desk day and night were less than concerned about customer experiences and seemed like they did not want to be there. Early morning Thursday a young gentleman was on site at the front desk and seemed to be the boss, his Lee level of customer service and sense of urgency was obvious.

Office personnel were professional and friendly

Spent a couple of nights in early August. The staff was incredibly friendly and even called us as we were checking in extremely late to make sure all was okay. Quiet grounds and a nice place to come back to after spending all day in Acadia.

The hotel was clean and updated. The only thing that was inconvenient was there was no ventilation in the bathroom so when you took a shower the whole bathroom was steamed up and the mirror would not clear up for hours plus the bathroom was fairly small. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude That being said the views was absolutely spectacular! This made up for all the other issues. All in all a decent place to stay.

The staff were amazing, kind and helpful from check in to check out. Daniel was extremely helpful assisting us with planning out our day and a pleasure to meet! Great spot with wonderful staff!

Easy access when visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Hotel was clean, friendly, pool well maintained and offered outdoor seating with view of mountains. Bar Harbor offers Free bus service throughout area and bus stop #10 located directly across the street from hotel. Continental breakfast was offered but very limited

Distance to Acadia national park and downtown bar harbor was great.

The location was outside of town .. A quick 5 minute drive brought you to town. Amazing location at the entrance to Acadia National Park. Breathtaking view.

Excellent hotel, minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. I would stay here again.

Close to Acadia and Main St

Killer view. Great location. Close enough to be super convenient to Acadia and Bar Harbor but away from the congestion. Highly recommend.

Nice clean hotel with a nice view. Quiet area very peaceful . Rooms are cute small and clean. Very nice. Location is very close to the national park and bar harbor center, Less than 10 minutes.

Hotel is getting a bit old. Could use an update and more counter space needed in bathroom. But the location in relation to Acadia NP is perfect.

The room was spacious and clean. It looked like it had been recently decorated. The bed was comfortable. There was a little porch area outside the room with a chair and tables where you could sit and look over the ocean. Plenty of parking available. Breakfast was OK - quite basic - just cereal and muffins. The swimming pool was great - right at the front of the property with views of the ocean and was heated to just the right temparature. Overall, it is not a luxurious place but it did everything we needed it to do for a reasonable price.

This is more like a motel that is clean, good condition and used mostly by tourists to Acadia. It has a nice small pool (area) which is nice to relax. They don’t have breakfast but offer morning drinks, cereals and muffins. It is a bit far from Bar Harbor with no transportation to town. (Bus to town would be nice since there is no free parking in Bar harbor. It is a short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Very clean and wonderful renovations done. Pool and sunrise and set sets are lovely. Breakfast was coffee, muffins, yogurt, juice and tea. We will recommend and will be back!

When the weather was nice, the view was beautiful. And they were very accommodating with letting us check out a little later. The breakfast was great as well.
