Several things about this property have been left unattended. The pool and jacuzzi were inoperable and drained. The fountain out front not working and drained. The bar inside was not open the entirety of the stay(5 days) The elevator broke down at least twice that we know of while there. Our room was not serviced once while there.

Smelled like sewage, elevators didn’t work, no ice in ice machine, pool and hot tub not open, beer at bar was skunky tried many different ones and all of them were bad. This is my second stay at the location and it’s nothing like the first. I’m highly disappointed and would have much rather taken my $200 somewhere else.

The front desk Manager saved a "Terrible" rating. Sharice (spelling?) the Manager worked magic to fix many things. However, this property is in desperate need of some long term maintenance TLC. It seems the owner is running it for cash flow, not much has been spent to keep this place running smoothly. The pool was closed by the health inspector, the exercise facility was poorly maintained, the elevator was offline twice during our 3 night stay, AC units were loud and had various control issues, and the foul smell of sewer was present on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The house keeping staff was trying to cover it with the smell of cleaning solutions. The bfest was decent and the lobby area worked well for our large family to gather. We had almost 30 people at this hotel for 2 nights.

Hotel smelled like a sewage pipe had burst, a claim supported by the dozen or so industrial blowers running throughout the night in an attempt to dry out the ground floor. Waited 5-10 minutes for service at the front desk. Room was probably a 6/10 cleanliness, hair all over the bathroom. Will be avoiding this hotel going forward.

We were in area to shop and celebrate a birthday. Planned on using the nicely advertised pool and hot tub only to find out the pool has been closed for months. Had we known we would have stayed elsewhere. Elevator and halls had a strange smell. Tile floor in our room was sticky to walk on. Due to the previous comments we did not feel comfortable eating the complimentary breakfast.

Overall unclean hotel. The hallways had random trash all along the baseboards. We never had our room cleaned during our 3 day stay. We had to empty our own trash cans and go get our own towels pretty pathetic. I will say the pool and slide was awesome.

Someone had used bathroom when we got there. Toilet (unflused) 7 shower. T.V. Control was missing —-for five hours they couldn’t locate another—only when I came to office could they get one —by the game was over. Bed was lumpy, halls were littered with trash—just not a good value.

It served its purpose but for the price i was disappointed. The lobby is the nicest part of the place. The rest was dirty, stinky, and run down. Parts of our room looked like it hadnt been vacuumed in a long time and the dust above the bed was extremely noticeable.

Loved the slide in the pool but that was the only thing we enjoyed. We stayed for 3 nights and not once did anyone clean our room. 2 nights in a row i had to take dirty towels to the front desk and ask for clean ones along with shapmoo and soap. Trash was never taken out. Breakfast was a joke 2 mornings. Out of everything. One morning there was only eggs and sausage. No discuits. 2 mornings it took over an hour for them to refill the waffle mix. Our bathroom smelled like sewage the entire stay.

Room had a very musty smell to it. The A/c was set to 76 when we arrived so the room was ridiculously warm. The front desk clerk reaked of weed and acted as though we interrupted him staring at his phone. The pull out couch was covered in white mold and horrible stains. There was no extra bedding in the room to be able to use it, and again the front desk guy ignored the 3 times we tried to call and when I went down to ask for it, was told it's locked up and I don't have a key. Overall, will not recommend to any family or friends. Will never stay again.

The whole hotel was dirty had a bad smell the room they gave us either was never cleaned from the night before or someone was already in it cuz the bed was unmade! Then they tried to put us in another room which didn’t have enough beds for my family. It was also dirty. We. Had to go pay another $500 for another hotel And still haven’t gotten my $380 back from them. 😡😡😡😡😡

I would not recommend this hotel. The pictures online do not match what you get at the hotel. Bathroom in our room had peeling paint and what looked like painted over mold. Room was hot and we had to run A/C all night to make it comfortable (which ended up meaning blowing cold air onto the bed all night). Pool looked cloudy and dirty, elevator did not appear reliable, and breakfast was picked over and a mess at 8:30am. We had to go to IHOP instead. Just be forewarned, what you see on hotels.com is not want you get.

It wasn’t a good stay from the air no working good in either room cause I had to move rooms. It was hit in the elevator. The first morning me and my family was awaken at 7am by the smoke detector beeping loud for no reason. Had to listen to it till I was moved to another room, after I had to call the front desk again. Although I was told the manager would call me when she got in at 7am, no call. Moved us to room 304, where the air was not working well I. That room sitting on 60 and the tv did not work I. That room.

We have stayed at this hotel before without any issues. However, our last stay from 2/9 to 2/10 was less than ideal. There was a loud party in the bar that lasted until after midnight. When my husband finally went to the front desk, the staff member there told me there was nothing she could do and that it was up to the bar manager. When the bar manager came over, she claimed that the bar is officially open until 1am and that nothing could be done as long as customers were present. The problem is that the foyer area where the bar is located opens up to the second floor, making it impossible for both first and second floor guests to sleep while the loud party is going on. If this is indeed the hotel policy, this "feature" needs to be properly disclosed. Things did quiet down eventually, but we had a long drive ahead of us the next day, and the only reason we paid for our room was to have an uninterrupted night of sleep. Not being able to sleep until well after midnight and having to walk down to the front desk to argue with the hotel staff was not part of the plan. I welcome the hotel representative to clarify their hotel quiet hours policy.

Elevator was broken and we were placed on the third floor with a baby and a dog to lug all our stuff up the flights of stairs. The ice machine was also broken on our side of the hotel we got into our room and the thermostat was set to 56° and the heat was off in the middle of a winter storm.

Had a long line at check In. This was due to the amount of customers canceling their stay. Hotel was overbooked, half the rooms had not been cleaned by house keeping. We checked in went to our room, door didn’t open all the way, it was 85 degrees in the room. Air conditioner didn’t work. Don’t think the air conditioner worked in the lobby either. Ice machine on our floor was broke. Decided to cancel our stay as well. I felt bad for the front desk staff. Poor management and they were left to deal with the mess.

Check in took about 45 minutes because their system apparently went down. While I understand that tech issues arise, the communication about what was going on was poor. In addition, the customer service from staff members was not very friendly or apologetic about mistakes they made or inconveniences to customers. We had to change rooms 3 times for a one-night stay. Once, because the toilet was broken. Then, they gave us a room key to a room that was already occupied and someone was in it when we moved our stuff there. Finally, we had to move our belongings a 3rd time to a new room that was finally acceptable. There was no offer for a discount and was actually denied when we asked for one. The only reason we didn't leave and go stay somewhere else was the location of this hotel to the soccer park. That was the selling aspect of this property. At least they had a good variety of breakfast items offered too.

We went down to talk to someone about the problems we were having in our room. The manager was very rude. Through a fit and told us if we didn’t like it then we could find somewhere else to stay. Never had service so terrible. It wasn’t until we went down the next morning to speak with someone else and report how rude she was that she decided to apologize.

As a family who travels to KC often, we were excited to possibly add this place as our list of hotels to stay at. However, after the weekend, I do not plan to go back. Pros, right across from Sporting Field, close to Legends, a hop skip and jump from Scheels, Garmin and Hospitals with added perks like buffest breakfast, indoor slide with no overpriced resort fee, and even a bar and snack bar. Cons, our toilet was broken the entire weekend. Daytime staff told me it was fixed more than once when it wasnt - we had to turn off the water, turn it back on and push down seal in order to flush...all weekend long (we stated a few days). The shower had zero pressure, like, none. Bedding was dirty (we bring most of our own stuff anyway). The tv didnt work most of the weekend and was insanely slow when it did work. The evening front desk was amazing and tried to help as much as was able with no luck. Overall, pretty disappointed in the experience, annoyed they overbooked so we didnt have an option of a working restrooms most of the weekend, and had to resort to leaving the hotel most of the time when we wanted to hang out in between appts and games.

Great spot right across the street from Children's Mercy Park, got to walk around the stadium and check it out from the outside as well as the Speedway and hote is in easy walking distance from Famous Dave's BBQ which alone is worth the price of the stay. Great hotel, I will make this my go to in KC going forward!

It seems that the property has under gone new management and a lot of new staff. The staff was great, especially Johnny at the front desk. My room door had issues with opening had to turn the handle several times to get it to open, wasn’t the key it was the door itself. The swimming pool was closed the whole time we were there, kept telling us oh it will open today or it will open tomorrow and never did. There was a sporting Kc game and patrons parked in the lot and walked over leaving no parking for the actual guests. I paid through Expedia and also was charged through the hotel, still waiting on a refund even though I flagged the situation before checking out and was told that oh it looks like it’s the incidental charges but the guy checking me in rang it up wrong. There were issues but I’d probably stay there again just because of the hospitable staff.

Loved the location, price was solid, pool was down but they did let us know right after booking and offered refund if that wasn't acceptable. We booked this same hotel twice as we drove to and from vacation. Check in was great. Breakfast was solid and they were willing to let us grab a few things early to help our travels.
