Our family had a great summer weekend here! So much to do for the kids; sauna, hot tub, pool, lake, trails, games, fire pits, s’mores. Very family friendly. This was our second time staying here and we love it!

The only reason I gave it a 4* os because I think it's a bit over priced and the massages are over priced as well. Other than that the property is beautiful and I love how you can hear the waves in your room.

Really enjoyed our stay, love the fire pit along the beach. We would like a couple more menu options rather than just the buffet for breakfast, but it was nice. We are early risers so the only thing that we really would like is the lodge to open before 8 AM.

This place was amazing. I needed a last minute stay for just one night, and this was available. When I got there, the gal working the desk was incredibly friendly and helpful and welcoming. The room was comfortable and very clean and cozy. I explored the grounds the next day before heading out, and I can honestly say I cannot wait to go back for a longer stay with my wife. When I checked out the guy working was also very friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend this place enough…it’s wonderful!!

Place was beautiful. Loved having a fire at night. Gas grill for making dinner was lovely. Had just one, but a nice dinner in the restaurant. Downside: Shower was not constructed properly thus major water leakage in the bathroom. Shower was cracked. Driver of a vehicle in the next cottage felt it appropriate to park on the side walk blocking ability use sidewalk. Overall good experience

The majority of the price you pay here is for the view. While it is extremely beautiful, the rooms and the price however are not. The website and Expedia made the rooms seem like they were a duplex style room. Not the case, you are crammed into a moderate sized cabin with approximately 6 different rooms. Bedrooms are small and outdated, heat worked but ac did not. Touch up paint on walls made it look like the painting was done by a 6 year old. Mirror had a giant stain on it, fireplace did not work, interior hall of staircase had wallpaper peeling off. Overall was not impressed with the quality of this place.

The property and rooms were very lovely and clean. Lots of activities on the grounds and an absolutely beautiful view of the lake. Would have been nice to know about what was expected on our part to keep the room clean-maybe just go over that at check-in.

they need to do something about goose poop which was everywhere near our cottage and made it difficult to walk. also, there was something sharp in room where carpet met other flooring. Otherwise place was very nice

Quiet, super clean and comfy. Nice mini fridge area. Great for heating up a meal and making coffee. Dishes and utensils included. Nice staff. On the lakeshore. Walking trails and fire pits along the lake. Lodge has a restaurant.

It’s a beautiful place - the area is so pretty- manicured landscape and right on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Our cottage was a one bed and one bath. The only concern we have is that they said there is just one AC / furnace unit that services the three cottages in the unit where we stayed and our thermostat was set at 70 but one of the other cottages must have been cold so our room temperature was 80 at 2:00AM. And that was a problem for us. I hope they get this resolved soon. The restaurant on the property was excellent and our server was amazing! She was So happy! A great start to our day.

Staff are very friendly and bartenders can make a great Bloody and a Martini! Food at the restaurant was just, “ok.” Walleye cakes have too much filler and no flavor. Pork Belly was delicious, love the blackened on the veggies. If you’re looking for space, don’t book a, “Guest Room.” I had a bigger room at a boutique hotel in New York for the price. No room for a desk in there, which is something I needed. If I would have known, I would have booked elsewhere, especially for the price. No coffee in the room, after I asked front desk twice. They did have a fridge and microwave, which was nice. No safe in room. The “Lodge” closes at 9pm and opens the next day at 9am, so you need to plan accordingly. I travel to North Shore regularly for different events. I will be looking elsewhere for accommodations.

Beautiful resort, shoreline, and grounds. We stayed in a lovely suite with fireplace, deck, and great lake view. Very comfortable bed. Great access to Lake Superior sights and hikes. On site restaurant. Goid for families or couples.

Room and view were amazing! Staff was super friendly. We were in an upstairs suite, didn't realize there was super steep stairs to get to our room, so be sure to take into consideration. In addition, if in an upstairs suite, keep in mind you are above the deck of the two larger suites below you with families and exuberant children and you will here and see them on the deck and you can also see and hear everything going on at the bonfire circles along the beach front. There is a restaurant on site, but not a lot else to eat nearby.

We arrived to find a very disappointing room—the photos on Expedia did NOT match the actual room (photos were of a lake view suite with fireplace; the room we were in (for over $300) was a tiny full bed and bathroom overlooking the parking lot). The staff tried to make it right and got us into the pictured room the following night. Expedia, as usual, was no help at all. I’m kinda done with Expedia.

Love this property. Even though room is a little bit small, but clean, neat and comfortable. Specially love the shoreline. View was awesome! You can see sun rise or moon rise.

The property is on a beautiful and convenient location. Most of the staff are extremely friendly. One guy on the desk was semi rude and absolutely not interested in the guests needs. Between two rooms, we had a broken blower dryer, not enough toilet paper or towels and were told housekeeping will get to it when they can and we had to go back for the towels and toilet paper. There was a race the weekend we were here and we were given completely wrong information on getting back to the highway. And a second staff person we asked just seemed uninterested in the fact we needed to leave and offered no suggestions on a way back to 61. Basic accurate information on a busy weekend seems like it wouldn't be too hard to communicate to guests.

My stay at Larsmont Cottages was excellent. Upon going to the front desk to check-in I was greeted by two pleasant and helpful young ladies. They gave me all the information that I needed to make my stay enjoyable. The room was very nice and just enough space for me. The grounds were well maintained and easy to negotiate when going on my morning walk. I would recommend Larsmont Cottages as a great place to stay.

We arrived to find a very disappointing room—the photos on Expedia did NOT match the actual room (photos were of a lake view suite with fireplace; the room we were in (for over $300) was a tiny full bed and bathroom overlooking the parking lot). The staff tried to make it right and got us into the pictured room the following night. Expedia, as usual, was no help at all. I’m kinda done with Expedia.

Nice facility. Great setting. Young lady at from desk when we arrived was friendly, but seemed bored by the job. Bartender/server was wonderful. Nice to have bar & restaurant onsite—not much else open in April. If you need to get an early start, front desk does not open until 8:00 am.

Beautiful property! We stayed in an upstairs Suite and loved the view of the lake. It was quiet and peaceful and the staff was very welcoming! Great location to visit areas up and down the north shore! We plan to return!

Room and view were amazing! Staff was super friendly. We were in an upstairs suite, didn't realize there was super steep stairs to get to our room, so be sure to take into consideration. In addition, if in an upstairs suite, keep in mind you are above the deck of the two larger suites below you with families and exuberant children and you will here and see them on the deck and you can also see and hear everything going on at the bonfire circles along the beach front. There is a restaurant on site, but not a lot else to eat nearby.

Staff are very friendly and bartenders can make a great Bloody and a Martini! Food at the restaurant was just, “ok.” Walleye cakes have too much filler and no flavor. Pork Belly was delicious, love the blackened on the veggies. If you’re looking for space, don’t book a, “Guest Room.” I had a bigger room at a boutique hotel in New York for the price. No room for a desk in there, which is something I needed. If I would have known, I would have booked elsewhere, especially for the price. No coffee in the room, after I asked front desk twice. They did have a fridge and microwave, which was nice. No safe in room. The “Lodge” closes at 9pm and opens the next day at 9am, so you need to plan accordingly. I travel to North Shore regularly for different events. I will be looking elsewhere for accommodations.

Really enjoyed our stay, love the fire pit along the beach. We would like a couple more menu options rather than just the buffet for breakfast, but it was nice. We are early risers so the only thing that we really would like is the lodge to open before 8 AM.
