Front desk was very helpful (Dawn). Breakfast was really good. Lots of options. Convenient for White Sands National Park. Restaurants very close by. Parking was well lit and safe (we had a car full of stuff no problems).

Pros: Great breakfast, clean room, helpful staff. Cons: The hot tub was not working (they said it’s been out of order for over a month), used pool towels were in a mess on the floor, stairs needed vacuuming, the bathroom vanity and door in our room needed work, the small freezer in our room fridge had over an inch of ice built up and badly needed to be defrosted.

The used bar of soap from the previous guest was still in the shower soap dish with their pubic hair on it. The shower water handle was coming apart. Some thing is leaking in the ceiling because the water damage is obviously getting worse. Rusty light fixtures, pool was dirty like the furniture in the common areas. Tile and grout were dirty.

The room was not clean. Trash on the floor. Sheet dirty with spots. Dust in corners. Bath sink counter dirty. Had to change rooms the next day. Not happy at all with Marriott.

Th e front staff was amazing the only issue was cleanliness of the room which I feel is always the case as I know its hard to double check your house keeping. There was a chicken wing next to the AC unit, a hair tie hanging on the shower turn on/off knob, hair on the walls of the shower, hair in the bathroom floor,which means they didn't really clean it after the last gust. That to me is just not OK. I have to say beside the staff I use pretty upset with the cleanliness of the room. How do yiu not see the chicken wing of the floor?

Floors, both hard surface & carpets dirty & littered. Furniture in public areas stained. Litter around the property & parking lot. I know it’s hard to keep up on it because of the wind, but indoors should be easier.

The property and staff were great. Good breakfast. Safe and quiet. Our only issue was the sheets had stains and the bathroom had quite a bit of hair on the tile. Room appropriately priced.

This property is showing its age. There are lights in halls missing covers. Floor tiles in tge elevator are unevenly laid and a trip hazard. The room bathroom tiles are loose. The room smells musty. The rain shower head is positioned so that the water runs beyond the curtain and floods the floor. Tiles on the side entry are broken and laying on top of other tiles. However, Edward (front desk clerk) was exemplary and a delight during our stay. Housekeeping and other staff were friendly and polite. These employees deserve a better property!!

Firstly the AC unit wasn't working properly. That was very frustrating. The room telephones weren't working. We set our dirty towels out for housekeeping to replace. Whomever put the clean towels in the bathroom didn't secure the room door and when we returned later that day the door was ajar and not secure. I mad the front desk aware of all these incidents.

The staff we encountered were nice. There were many different options for breakfast and the breakfast area didn't feel too crowded. Overall, though the feeling I got was a place falling apart. The indoor pool was drained and unusable. Soundproofing between rooms sounded nonexistent. The toilet in our room was dirty. The tiles on the bathroom floor were coming up. An entire wall socket was broken and felt a little unsafe to use.

After a long day of travel, we arrived at the Fairfield Alamogordo only to find out that they had “overbooked” the hotel and that they could not accommodate our reservation. We were not called or emailed by the hotel prior to the overbooking. Poor communication. Poor management. Absolutely the worst experience we have ever had with the Marriott chain

The desk clerk went above and beyond our 1st night. Genuinely customer friendly. The downside, our room was not cleaned the following day. The phone in the room didn't work to call for more towels. I had to get the towels for myself after waiting more than 15 minutes at the front desk for someone to even assist me. The breakfast attendant was not happy at all when we asked for more cups and when we told there was no more coffee. We felt like we were really bothering her.

Front desk lady when I checked in was so nice! Great breakfast! The location is only 18 miles from White sands! Very convenient. Dining options are all within 5 min. Great place to stay of you are planning a visit to white sands national park.

1. No pool, without a notice that states the pool is out of order 2. Forced learning of how to eat cereal with forks, since the hotel ran out of spoons!! 3. The soap and shampoo dispensers were empty ( or had to be pumped 10 times for a tiny squirt of semi dried product)

The first room we received when we arrived smelled like swett, the bathroom floor was dirty, there was a candy wrapper and muffin crumbs on the floor. We were re-assigned. The Continental breakfast worker woman took a towel to clean up a coffee spill on the floor with her shoe wiped it across the floor, then picked it up and wiped the coffee counter and the coffee spout!!!! I was completely appalled!! I complained to the front desk, and got an appology…needless to say, that was the last time I had breakfast with your facility.

This was a nice hotel and a good value. Next time we go to White Sands we will stay here. The room was clean and spacious, and they had a decent free breakfast. Only downside for our particular stay was we didn't have hot water one night (staff immediately offered to come check) and the remotes were a bit wonky/in need of new batteries.
