I had a fishing trip chartered on Lake Erie and booked a room here based on location and price. It ended up around $300 for 2 nights. External appearance - Good. Good parking. Pool looked good. They turn the sign off at night so if you didn't know it was there, you'd drive right by. Check in ends at 10pm, which seems odd. Check In - Friendly person. Professional. Good first impression. Note that checking ENDS at 10pm. Room - The room was clammy and smelled like mildew (strongly). The floor under the kitchen area and bathroom had some sag/bounce to it. I'm betting it's rotten under the carpet. I didn't want to walk barefoot across the carpet although it might have been clean. The beds were clean. No bugs. The fridge worked. I would not have stayed here with my wife/kids. For a couple men on a fishing trip, it was adequate. Breakfast - Basic continental breakfast. Cereal, donuts, hard boiled eggs, coffee. Overall Impression - This is an old motel in a good location. It's run down and in dire need of renovations. For the room I stayed in, $60 a night would be fair. The ~$150, I paid, ridiculous. We also noticed that the price was substantially lower had we rented that night rather than in advance. Live and learn I guess.

Pool was fair, but exposed to traffic and passerbys. Overall, unimpressed with industrial adjoining properties, and poor , below grade , quality pretty much everywhere.

Ran out of toilet paper and we could not find a spare.. there should always be spare toilet paper in the room. Breakfast could be better, but it was free. Kind of a snack. Easy check in. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Pool was clean. For the price this was a great deal. Only complaint was there was coffee grounds still in the coffee pot and no coffee was in the room, found a couple hairs in front of the tub as well.

It was our second time staying here. It nice and not overpriced. It was remodeled some since last time. The swimming pool is clean and nice. My only problem is the driveway is very dark and the road so it's hard to see where to turn in at night.

Toilet full of poo. Spiders and bugs. Luckily we came to fish and this was a place to sleep. Not a vacation destination by any means!

If you suffer with arachnophobia this isn't the place for you. When I turned down the bedsheets to get in a huge black spider the size of a quarter scrambled across the bed. The decor was old and the carpet questionable. Free breakfast included donuts, cereal and bananas, juice and coffee.

Mold

The property looks good on the outside, but not very clean and room had a bad odor.

Room was not cleaned well... items left in refrigerator, change laying on the bench in room, brown smudge (makeup? or something i dont want to think about) on the bathroom wall by the lightswitch. Smelled musty in the room. Toilet leaked water on the floor and had to be flushed multiple times usually. Kitchen has a stove but no dishes of any sort to cook with so pointless to have the kitchen area. Seeved it's purpose for a bed to sleep in, but not worth the amount we paid to stay... definitely could use some improvements.

The hotel room was fine. Beds were comfy. Continental breakfast was just okay. No tissues in the room. Could have used a better cleaning carpeting and walls. Was sufficient for a two-night stay.

The staff was friendly and accommodating however the room was dated but clean.

The room smelled musty and felt damp. After a couple hours, clothing and other items we brought with us also felt damp. Room was otherwise clean. We were there during the off-season (as we were told at check-in) so the provided breakfast was very sparse.

I chose Stay Inn because it was the most affordable option in the Port Clinton/Catawba Island area. The bed was more than adequate, I slept good. The restroom is a little small. The walls seem thin, I could hear people on either side. But for $75 on a weekend in the summer in Port Clinton, I was more than happy with my choice.

Older property

The signage in front of the building set the pace for the experience, it's faded and gives the impression of either a neglected property, or lack of resources to maintain the property. The sign said renovated, but honestly the before pictures looked better. The stay wasn't the worst I've had, but the price for the condition of the room was a bit much for me. Also didn't realize this prior, but a quick map search shows it's close proximity to a small airport, and yes that means it's directly in the flight path. The planes didn't have an impact on us as we only slept in the room and didn't notice them later at night, but while unloading our vehicle it was definitely auditory.

Nice large, clean, updated room

Set away from the busy traffic, which is nice. Front desk personnel are nice. Everything seems to be kept clean. Breakfast is minimal. Rooms are outdated. Toilet seat wasn't secure. Beds are very soft and tend to settle towards middle. I think the mattress are abit old and worn.

The room was spacious and clean. Appreciated towel and empting trash each day. I'd stay again!

The room was enough with an AC that worked great which I definitely appreciatd. Nothing extravagant but incredibly clean with a new flooring, counter and sink. You can tell they had worked hard to do some updates and give it a fresh paint job. Once it has some robe hooks, rack with hangers and a luggage rack it will be great! Those few little details made a huge negative difference though.

A scheduling conflict prevented me from keeping my reservation. I canceled 4 days prior to my arrival. The Manager refused to reimburse my payment which was made in full at the time the reservation was made. This lack of concern for my hard earned money is the reason for my poor review of this property. Buyer beware!

I was told that there is no breakfast in the off season, even though it said there was on Hotels.com. Not even coffee. My room had no tissues and no liner for the ice bucket. There was a coffer maker but no coffee or filters. The bed was fine. When I checked out, they talked to me through a ring doorbell with camera. Not the best customer service. With all the hotels to choose from when going to Cedar Point, I will not be back.

Great customer service

Hotel was convenient for my purposes, price was reasonable. However, maid service was virtually non existent. On arrival toilet and tub were clogged. The tub drain valve was broken. I ended up Jerry rigging g it with duct tape so the tub would drain. No maid service at all for the first week. Had to run down the maid and demand clean towels. Complaints to management eventually resulted in desultory bed making and trash removal, but room was not cleaned once during a ten day stay.

Room we got already had people in I opened the door on them sleeping. The second room from our group house keeping wasn’t done .

Very friendly staff, quiet away from everything yet 5 minutes to everything in Port Clinton. Would definitely stay again.

NICE GET AWAY TO CHECK ON OUR SUMMER HOME. THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN AND QUIET. THERE WAS NO REAL FRONT DESK PERSON. HAD TO WAIT UNTIL SOMEONE CAME TO GREET YOU.

For the money you cant beat it. The gentleman working at the desk was helped me with everything I spoke with him about. The property is conveniently located near a Krogers a gas station and restaurants are near by as well. I would recommend the Stay inn to anyone who is traveling through the area!

Quiet , clean room. Nice area close to everything.

The staff who checked us in was very kind, despite us coming in after official hours, at midnight. The property was newly painted on the exterior. The interior was very clean, but dated, although adequately furnished with microwave and a smaller smart TV. The pillows were high quality and the sheets pressed and had a nice clean scent. The beds were full rather than queen size, but again adequate. The bathroom tilework had some minor cracking and the vanity was dated, however all clean. The breakfast was boiled eggs, cereal, milk, toast, jelly, doughnuts, packaged fruit cup, fresh bananas, orange drink, coffee. The proximity to the Jet Express dock was great. For the price and cleanliness, I would come again and recommend. It is certainly adequate, although by no means modern or luxurious.

Older hotel but in safe location. Bathroom toilet and sink updated. Beds were comfortable- for the price would stay again.

On our way to motorcycle rally and stayed here, Quant kitty motel, a little out dated bu staff as friendly and we were in walking distance of Lake Erie

Reasonable rates and in a good location.

The staff was very nice and the pool was clean. The rooms are outdated and kind of dingy, but not dirty. Did not like the joining door to the next room that would not lock. The room does not have a coffee maker, but there is a "breakfast" area that had beverages, cereal, donuts, and toast. Overall nice stay, it was a convenient and quiet location.

The lighting in the room was too dim, no coffee pot, tissues. The reservation said breakfast was included but there was none. They don't serve breakfast when there aren't enough customers. They is a poor excuse because they could at least provide coffee, cereal, breakfast bars or something that doesn't spoil.

The only think was the breakfast bar needed someone to restock it. At around 8 30 am it was out of everything but cereals, toast and over ripe bananas.

Clean yet basic. Shower head adjuster did not work. Breakfast was abysmal.... a few bananas and a ton of carbs. They did bring more towels on night #2, but they didn't provide enough in the first place. No bed service during entire 3 night stay.

The room had only hot water in the sink, bed caved in the center, not clean, no breakfast as advertised. Sort staffed.

Arrived after dark, could not find the place due to a power outage in the parking lot - not the property's fault, but after a very long drive it was frustrating. There is no breakfast, coffee, etc. served at this location. No coffee makers in the room, etc. Room was clean and comfortable, although it took about an hour to bring the temperature up to 70 degrees. Staff was very friendly. Nice hot showers, and didn't have to wait 10 minutes for the hot water to start flowing. It was pretty much instant, like home. Have had better, have had worse. This is a bare bones, basic hotel. If by myself, I'd stay again, but definitely need to update website on hotels.com, as this location does not serve any food/breakfast/coffee, etc.
