Room was spotless, staff were helpful, and overall experience was great. Only complaint would be the lack of parking and how tight the parking lot is for trucks. I have a pretty typical GMC Sierra 1500 and was unable to make the turn around the main building to access parking in the back. Parking was full in the front so was forced to park in the neighbouring basecamp lot. Not a huge deal but will definitely bring a smaller vehicle next time.

Excellent stay. I couldn’t find a fault! Nice staff, excellent location for walking downtown to eat. Quiet! Really lovely upstairs area to eat or work. Even had a nice little sauna.

It’s hard to pull your car around the back of the property as it’s such a tight turn and our Ford Edge (which isn’t a larger vehicle) had to do a 3- point turn just to make it. And there are no elevators in this building, it was a pain to lug our cases up the stairs.

We had a great one night stay. Check-in was a breeze since we submitted our information in advance. We were greeted by the front desk and our room was very welcoming with the tv set to a log fire and lights set dimly. The room was well stocked with everything we needed. There was even ear plugs, if needed, but we didn’t find that there wasn’t any need for them. The rooms are newly renovated and the staff did a great job cleaning the space. The location is great and there’s parking around the building. Some spots are tight, but they advise large vehicles to park up front where there’s more room. All staff that we came across were all very friendly. We’ll definitely stay here again!

Fridge froze all our food, there were ants in the room and the shower knob was loose and it was difficult to manage the shower temp and pressure. Wouldn’t stay here again.

The parking situation was okay - though the lot is fairly small and one-way, with tight stalls that require some caution, it was still manageable with both front and back parking available. The property itself felt functional and cozy, and I really enjoyed the layout of the room. The only drawback was the cleanliness of the shower floor, which had dark copper-brown staining that looked like hard water residue and didn’t seem to have been properly cleaned. I raised this to the hotel staff and requested for housekeeping to check but upon my return that day, it didn’t look like that was done. I also did not get further feedback from the staff. I was only there for one more night so just left it. While that part was disappointing, overall I enjoyed my stay and found the location to be excellent.

Staff were kind, efficient. The room was spotless: perfectly designed in synchrony to the mountain setting. The bedside lamps were unforgetably unique. I want some! Bed was extremely comfortable. The bedding was, too, perfect for romm temp. Tv was large and greatly situated and lots of good movies available. Coffee good and tea was in common space. The night was soundless, so we slept very well. Great value, indeed! Thank you for a flawless stay!

Room was not clean. We found a pair of socks next to the couch on the floor and the bathtub anti-slip mat had long black hair attached to it. My wife refused to take a shower and was very upset. Upon checkout I informed the hotel staff, who simply said "sorry". Otherwise our stay was comfortable.

I absolutely loved lodging at Basecamp Lodge in Canmore, Alberta. I reserved the Studio room, I highly recommend. It was spacious, very clean, and had everything you need. The kitchen was equipped with a sink, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, cutlery, drinkware, kettle, coffee machine, etc. The hotel is just a few minutes away from several restaurants, grocery stores, and liquor stores. Overall, I would stay here again and recommend to family and friends.

We stayed for our honeymoon. This hotel gave us a great place to stay for half the price of hotels in Banff. The rooms were super clean and the building was well-cared-for. The RR tracks right behind the hotel made nights hard to sleep as 4-5 trains a night went by. The hotel didn’t have many “fancy” amenities, but it was a good place to crash each night after hikes. We’d stay again, but would use the ear plugs for sure.

Our third time back at the Lodge. We love the location and large rooms. Only issue was our fireplace didn’t work. We were looking forward to sitting in front of it with a mug of hot chocolate and it wasn’t to be. 😢

My room at Basecamp Lodge was clean and comfortable, albeit a little on the small side. I wish there was more counter space in the bathroom, and there wasn't a lot of space to maneuver around the room. On the positive side, the bed was great, the property was very quiet, and I appreciated the smart TV and strong wifi signal.

Tiny room, even no space to open suitcase n the floor (admitted by front desk employee it used to be a hostel). Cars parked right in front of the window if you’re on a ground floor (and I mean right in front, not across the driveway). Very poor planning, and seems no soundproofing materials were used when renovating this place. Left us really disappointed for the price we paid in the shoulder season.

Had a lovely lounge, with excellent mountain views, for guests. Our room was well-designed and very comfortable and modern. It is close to the railroad tracks, so that can be an issue for light sleepers. We like the location since it has good highway access, but is an easy walk to the town centre.

The room was comfortable. Some coffee was supplied for the Kuerig coffee maker but no tea. The parking lot is super tight. The room would be ideal for longer stays (I was only in town overnight) as it has a full size fridge, microwave, oven and dishwasher.

When we pulled back the comforter, the sheets underneath were covered in hair. We texted the 24/7 service number to let the front desk know about the issue and asked if the sheets could be replaced. After waiting 45 minutes with no response to either the original or follow up texts, we then called the front desk to ask for an update. No one answered the phone so we left a message about the sheets. It wasn't until going to the front desk nearly an hour later that we were told "oh, I saw the texts and calls, but house keeping hasn't got back to me". We'd sent the original text at 7:30pm, I'm sure long after all the house keeping staff had left. When we then asked again about when the sheets would be changed, as sheets covered in hair is disgusting, we were given a stack of sheets from the supply room and told to leave the hair covered sheets in the corner of the room for house keeping to deal with in the morning

Staff are not receptive. They have forgotten that they are in the people business. The facility is run like an air bnb. A code is sent to you. You enter your small unit. Staff are inconvenienced if you approach them. They do not want to communicate with you. I went in July. The cheap air conditioning was on. Don't worry, each unit has ear plugs provided. Since you will be sleeping next to this unit, you might get the sniffles, small tissue box is provided on top of toilet tank. Basic breakfast of tea, toast and fruit is provided. On July 15 we were leaving at 8:15 am. We decided to make toast. The sitting area was closed off for a private event. Who, other than management has a Monday morning meeting when check out is before 11 am and all your customers are vacating. You will notice this kind of behaviour throughout the facility.staff are moody and unhelpful. The units are basic and sparsely furnished. Bedside lamps do not have shades. One charging plug at base of lamp. It was used so heavily that mine was broken. Ok for short stay and remember you have a choice. Choose wisely.

The lodge is in a convenient location close to downtown, walking trails, great views. The downside is the train tracks that run right behind Base Camp Lodge and several other inns etc The trains are very loud through the night. Request a room in the front or side of buildings.

I liked that the property was away from the hustle and bustle of town but still walkable. The only downside was the trains running out back most of the night. FYI the Georgetown Pub across the street is a great English Pub!

The room has a minifridge which is convenient to keep water and other food in. The hotel also has a small kitchen area on the second level where you can get a free basic breakfast (toast, muffin, juice, fruits) as well as coffee and tea. The staff was very accomodating given the fires in Jasper, and allowed me to extend my stay.

Breakfast is not a breakfast!! It's a snack with tiny drink, and yogurt so me being lactose intolerance didn't enjoy that at all. Please be aware of than when booking. Parking spot is extremally tight, so if you have a truck its almost impossible to park there and leave. Everything inside was excellent, TV, bed, bathroom. Very clean. I didn't enjoy my stay as much, but the place is ok

This hotel isn't 4 star though you would think so by the room rates. Our room was spacious and comfortable (great bed!) but Basecamp hasn't quite figured out how to design bathrooms. Small bathroom and shower water went everywhere. Bathroom exhaust fan wasn't strong enough to remove the moisture from the room. Small common kitchen area with breakfast foods, and coffee and tea was nice. Nice common area for lounging. Great location.

The hotel is in a excellent location with ample parking. I enjoyed my stay here. Also enjoyed that they have complementary breakfast (muffins, toast, fruits, juices,coffee) available. Overal I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it.
