At Inn on the Hudson, travellers praise the scenic Hudson River views and handy location near the train and downtown, but many describe dated, motel-style rooms, frequent train and road noise, inconsistent cleanliness, and a very basic grab-and-go breakfast.

Room in overall poor condition. Wall outlet recessed by 1/2, causing potential electrical issues. AC had an extremely loud fan and could not be used. Front desk said all AC units at the hotel had loud fans; electrical plate crudely painted over. Disgusting stains on front door and cheesy cabinet door. Desk bottom plate broken. Mattress cheap. Bathroom sink stuck closed, no way to open it. Sink left filled with water and had to advise front desk. Drug deal going down feet away from door-beer for weed with Colombians. Called front desk to handle and she came over and talked to them. Place looks good on the outside but the room condition was horrible and not worth $170 a night.

Ensure you are picking the right room size if you have more than 2 people. Location is good but there are better options in the area. View is great, pictures on internet are slightly misleading.

Parking convienient. Size of room for 2 double beds definitely small and enough for sleep. Bathroom is small size. Beds were not sturdy, kept moving out of the bed frames. And also not secured to the headboard so slips out from the wall. Staff was fantastic and super helpful. Towels in bathroom for body towels were way too small. Overall for 1-2 night stay is fine! Would not stay longer.

This website is deceiving, it shows very nice rooms in reality the rooms are from 1970 and have not been renovated since. They are relatively small and beds are uncomfortable. Bathroom is tiny with no counter space to put items, no extra towels, blankets, even "closet" is a basic hole in the wall. No real place to put clothing. Bathtub is ancient with paint missing and looks dirty. However, the water pressure was good!! Parking was great, pulled right up to the steps to our room, big garbage cans posted outside were a big help. Did not know that trains would be going by through out the day and late into the night, blowing their whistles. Lights outside not working along the driveway, not able to go for walk. No chairs to sit on outside on balcony. Had a dog "park" which was nice. Pool not open. Will not be staying here again !!!
