Fourteen Roses Beach Hotel

Lovely staff, especially Asti and nice clean hotel. The pool and swim up bar were delightful. We had a ground floor room which had great aircon and comfy bed. The location was excellent. Would stay there again, but only in the ground floor rooms. There were a lot of stairs to enter hotel.

The place has a very tranquil feel, pool was amazing and a bonus was the pool bar with a great range of drinks.

Lovely and quiet little hotel down a long gang (lane). Its quite safe to walk even at night as its well lit. Conveniently close to the beach and Garlic lane. Nice pool also. Basic breakfast but the pancakes are amazing! Each room has a balcony. Lots of stairs to access everywhere so not suitable for everyone.

No lifts, top floor poor water pressure Construction going on. Tv wasn’t good

Lovely hotel just needed cushions for the seats and sun beds, also not enough sun beds would be nice to have some in the small pool to sunbath on, The bathroom could use a upgrade

Fantastic property, we had poolside rooms and they were great, some had a shower over the bath and no hand rail so could be an issue for some people. Breakfast was very limited and if not included in rate plenty of options within easy walking. The property had a few stairs so if mobility is an issue would not be ideal, will definitely stay again

We were under the impression that we were booking Fourteen roses boutique hotel not realising that there was another hotel near the beach. The bathroom was dirty and the wash basin looked like not been cleaned at all for a long time. The towels were outdated and looked dirty. The shower was slippery with wood on the floor and the hot water not hot .

The property is in a great location BUT it is very very old and in need of a major upgrade. Door didn’t lock. Bathroom very old. Towels old and stained. Staff wonderful. What we saw in the advert for the hotel is not what we got. False advertising

the rooms were unclean and they tried to charge me extra for room service even though the menu stated it was room service price. Staff were unhelpful

Some staff poor English mould in shower I don’t think they mopped the floors in our 3weeks. People around pool till 4 am security nil : restaurant not serving drinks only beer no juices: love Bali

Das Hotel ist ganz nah vom Strand und sehr gepflegt, mit einem tollen Schwimmbad.Ich hatte ein großes sauberes Zimmer mit Balkon, Wasser, Tee, Kaffe und Wasserkocher.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and cleaned well. It had a nice quiet pool area, which we walked from our rooms almost into the pool,only about 55 rooms so quiet and staff knew your names and you knew theirs. Right in the heart of it all but because it was down a lane you didn’t have the noise and the traffic.

Room is always clean and amazing services !

Staff were fantastic very helpful my room was on second floor looking over the pool it was very noisy some nights till late. If you like quiet areas go to garden view areas. Shower was poor no warm water need to let it run for a bit and the shower head was poor detachable to get any sort of hot water.

This property is in need of repair, there were holes in the ceiling and the shower hose didn't point the right way for example. The pool area was very pleasant and the balconies overlooking the pool. If you want a well maintained place, this is not it, but for what we paid, we would consider staying there again.

Overall, the stay was pleasant. The rooms were large and spacious, and while the furniture and bathroom were a bit old, they were clean. Room service came daily, and the balcony was large and a relaxing place to enjoy the view of the pool and the flower-filled trees. The staff was very respectful, and the breakfast was very good and varied, though I found hair on two occasions. Other than that, there was nothing to complain about. The hotel is located behind the main street, away from the traffic noise. We will definitely come back.

The location was great and the shared areas from the reception area looked great but once we got to the room it was quite dated.

Honest review. Stayed here because of the reviews, but we were disappointed. The pool is beautiful, but not many sunbeds. This wasn’t too bad, usually people only stayed for a short time so we would wait. The balcony in the room was amazing, overlooking the pool. The room is very dated and the bathroom needs to be done. The shower pressure is awful, we never felt fully clean. The air conditioning in the room only worked sometimes, but we had to keep it on 24/7 because the room is not sealed. There are big gaps in the doors and the cold air escapes. On our first night we had to ask the staff to spray the room for bugs as we had ant Infestation. For some reason they were drawn to the bathroom and we ended up going out to the supermarket and buying bug spray as they hadn’t fully got rid of them. The beds were very comfortable though. The breakfast was free for us but we only ate it once over 7 days. The choices were poor, rice, noodles or pancakes made to order and they were average. It seemed more like lunch/dinner food. They did have toast/croissants etc but they looked very dry. The location is great because it’s right on the main strip, so there are lots of restaurants around and markets for shopping. It’s also only a short walk to the beach. It was also a struggle to get towels off of staff members, I’m not sure if there was a shortage or what? Room service food wasn’t great either, the chicken was half cold, the chips were average. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

They need to learn how to cook eggs. Breakfast could of been better, the menu looked good. We had no view from the balcony we looked at a wall. It was very noisy.

I have bad knees and asked for a downstairs room. They disnt help and I fell up the stairs cutting my forehead.

Beginning with a friendly and efficient receptionist well after midnight to the friendly and efficient waitresses at breakfast and the waiter at evening meal it wasn't all around positive experience. There was a daily room cleaning services available. The prices for the evening meals on offer quite reasonable and so where the prices for drinks all rounded up by an efficient waiting service. So all I can say it was a good experience to be at 14 roses Beach Hotel in Legion to be recommended.

They cancelled our booking and told us it was Expedia fault. Stood agree and argued for 5hrs on arrival before finally getting what we had booked. Very Limited menu service very slow. At the end of our stay, tried to make us pay for other people’s drinks etc, stood again for about an hour to get it sorted. Very disappointing, we had stayed in the past here but would NOT stay again.

Fourteen Roses Beach Hotel Legian used to feel like a second home to us. For over ten years, we stayed here multiple times a year — it held so many beautiful memories. Sadly, our most recent stay was nothing short of heartbreaking. After 16 nights filled with disappointment, stress, and daily drama, it’s clear that the hotel we once loved no longer exists. The experience from start to finish was appalling. The service has become not just poor, but intimidating. Every day brought a new issue — from being incorrectly charged and forced into uncomfortable confrontations, to the broken air conditioning and toilets that were never properly fixed despite multiple requests. Basic hospitality and kindness, once a given here, are now completely absent. What’s even more insulting is the fact that prices have doubled since our last stay, yet the service and standards have plummeted to shocking lows. The management seems uninterested in guest satisfaction and more focused on squeezing as much money as possible from visitors, no matter the experience they deliver. It’s devastating to see how much the spirit of this hotel has changed. What was once a peaceful, welcoming retreat for us turned into a stressful, upsetting ordeal that ruined our long-awaited holiday. Sixteen nights should have been filled with relaxation — instead, we faced drama, frustration, and constant disappointment. We are heartbroken that we can no longer recommend Fourteen Roses Beach Hotel to anyone.

The Management needs to really look into the property as the staff is nice but English language is big barrier for them. My stay was really bad experience. The house keeping won’t do the rooms even of the sign of up. You have to go and ask the front desk and then they will do this, then will miss towels or something else. I had to get additional bed for my kid and the mattress they gave was send out was picked from road side and was never maintained. It was disgusting and no one would like to sleep on it. The towels were dirty even after they are washed which always Created the suspicion if they were really washed. Ordered food at room and they came with the eftpos machine as they would not trust you and the items were never added to the room number so we can settle everything at checkout. The aircon swing never worked and I had to get my room changed but the aircon in another room was same as they hardly supported the size of room to keep it cool. Internet never worked inside my room and I kept on complaining but nothing was done about this Breakfast was ok but not much variety and same food everyday. Not worth the value I paid.

Absolutely loved staying at Fourteen Roses Beach Hotel. The rooms, the pool, breakfast, housekeeping was exceptional. But I give most of my positive experience to the staff & Hotel management. What Absolute delight they are & who made our stay like it was our home & family. The only issue, was the stairs. There isnt lifts.

Had stayed at the hotel one week before ,staff were great,this time after arriving at the hotel after walking two kilometres in the rain, checked in then waited why a staff member who was to take me to my room with a umbrella just stood there ,chatting to another staff member,not good enough( i worked in hospitality for 10 years)

Excellent staff a joy to stay

Lovely smaller hotel really well located. Close to beach shops restaurants and plenty of bars with great music at night. Not many kids very quiet and peaceful even though so close to all the bustle. Great value for money and super friendly staff.

Quiet, nice pool, soundproof rooms. A short walk down the lane to main street. Clean and comfortable.

For me it was just perfect value for money. Location in Kuta is right on the door step of the beach and of course for the ladies shopping.

Easy access to beach

I had booked a Garden view poolside room, which was located next to the kitchen. Each morning was woken at 6am from breakfast preparation. We were 3 rooms from the poolside, which was a blessing as the pool was very noisy with everyone having a lovely roudy time. Only 4 pool beds and 6 beanbags to lounge by the pool. Actually did not swim in the 17 days we stayed as there really was no where to sit and relax, pool beds and bean bags were always in use. The restaurant was only available for a very basic breakfast, which was ok. The restaurant was not open for lunch and dinner, although you could order room service, which came in from an outside source. Only 6 tables seating 4 people were available for breakfast, we went at different times and unfortunately a table was not always available. So for the last week of our holiday we ate breakfast at Sheppy's. All the staff were so pleasant and were very helpful when issues arised with the air conditioner and several times with our door not closing/locking on 3 occasions.

Great location super close to the beach and shopping area. The staff are are so friendly and helpful, they are always so happy. The only very small let down is the very limited menu but there are heaps of places to eat around so it’s not a really big issue. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff were amazing. Helping us choose tours and places to go and things to see. Very quiet friendly hotel. Breakfast is essential. The eggs and pancakes were the best we had in bali. Have already booked our return trip next year. Highly recommend for the price concious.

Everything was great. Location, quiet,well maintained,clean,staff were always kind and helpful. The only thing I'd like to see changed is the breakfast it wasn't bad just needs a bit of variety. Needs to change it every day but also it was cheap.so not really complaining. 😕

Its a lovely quiet place but also very central to pubs markets beach and restaurants. The only thing is the breakfast needs to have more variety in cereal condiments such as real jams.
