Steps away from the beautiful Via Giulia is this gem of a hotel that occupies two floors in a residential building with marble stairs. The location is exceptional for exploring the historic center and Trastevere neighborhoods on foot. We felt like we were in striking distance on foot from most major sites. The staff was incredibly welcoming from the very beginning, and our room was ready two hours ahead of time. We most appreciated the friendly staff, who helped when there was a small problem in the room and arranged a car service and early breakfast, the quiet location, the daily cleaning and water service, the convenient espresso machine, the very comfy, large beds, and the modern bathroom, which was much bigger than most European bathrooms. Transportation is difficult in Rome, but at least at this location we could catch buses that run along the river or nearby larger street. Breakfast at the hotel Navona was a pleasure down in the cool stone cave, but you have to walk for five minutes to get there. The biscuits and coffee on both floors of the inn helped fill in the gaps! Rome River Inn checked all of our boxes and then some, and we will recommend it to friends and family. Thank you to all the staff for such a great week!

La verdad es una propiedad que está en una buena ubicación, pero como es una extensión de hotel pues realmente si uno necesita algo extra después de las 10 pm o antes de las 7 am no hay quien lo atienda. Adicional la cobija no era del tamaño de la cama, éramos dos personas y pues era un poco incómodo. La habitación tenía un olor raro a medicamentos, trataron de solucionarlo pero no sucedió. Es un lugar tranquilo, no tiene recepción 24 hrs. Las chicas de atención son amables. El extractor de aire para el baño tampoco funcionaba.

Accueil excellent, établissement refait à neuf. À disposition café /thé dans salon commun, bouteille d’eau tous les jours dans les chambres ; le petit plus à l’arrivée une 1/2 bouteille de Procesco ! Pour l’option petit déjeuner il faut se rendre à l’hôtel principale à 200 mètres… mais cet effort est récompensé par un super buffet ! Le personnel est bienveillant. Nous recommandons !

Nice location in between the historic centre and Trastevere. It's entirely separate from the hotel, which is about a five minute walk away, and it doesn't have reception staff on site. I was unaware of this when booking and it was a bit disconcerting. However the staff from the hotel are very friendly and helpful and check in and check out were easy. The only issue we had was with the shower as the water escaped onto the floor from the spray and the floor got really wet. Other than this we had a very easy stay and it was nice to be close to the river and slightly away from all the tourists.

We loved our stay here! It was a nice quiet area even though it’s on the main road by the Tiber River. We picked this location because of its walkable distance to the main sites. The farthest we walked was 26 mins to the colosseum and pantheon. And in the opposite direction, the Vatican was a 13 minute walk. Staff was very quick and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. Eva was super friendly and met us at check in. Shuttle to and from airport was booked through the Inn and shuttles were private, clean, and on time. The Inn itself was small we we liked. It wasn’t busy and we hardly saw anyone which we personally liked! You get in and out with a code which was easy and safe knowing only those staying there can walk into the building. On our checkout date we had to go before breakfast was served so we’d figured we’d buy breakfast at airport but staff reached out and personally brought us breakfast items the night before which was so kind and thoughtful! Overall, we are super pleased with our stay and I would definitely recommend to everyone! Grazie mille Rome River Inn!

Everything was a perfect 10 except the mattress was hard ( please add a topper ) the stairs to and from the hot tub were slippery! Please add more security strips to the stairs. In addition, some of the wood flooring had buckled and was catching on my shoes. Please know that the breakfast is not at the bed-and-breakfast. You have to walk about how far 10 minutes 10 minutes to get to the hotel serving your breakfast and navigate down a Spiral Staircase and more stairs. Yes, the property does have a lift, but if you have any condition, I was healing from broken ankle. Please know that there is a full set of marble stairs, and then one step once on the ground floor to enter the unit! so not good for anyone does have a disability problems.

We are thankful to be notified by the B&B Rome River Inn that there was a cab strike in Italy on the day of our arrival. They arranged for a car to pick us up at the train station as we were coming in from Venice. Our room was large, comfortable bed, couch, small table and chairs, a desk and the best part was the Whirlpool in our room. Each night we came back from our tours ready for a soak. The bus stop was a few blocks away as well as local small restaurants that were family owned. Our flight was early so they provided us breakfast and arranged for a driver to pick us up at 6:00 am. We highly recommend the B&B Rome River Inn.

This hotel stay was amazing. It is in the perfect location as it is walking distance from the Vatican and many delicious restaurants. The hotel staff were the best and took such good care of us. They even set up last minute pick up for us from the train station via private car service (for a fee) and made sure we had transportation to the airport after check out. They communicated so well with us regarding our reservation and were a phone call or text away when we needed something. One thing we noticed about Italy was how hot and humid it is outside, and this hotel was FRESH and what we needed after a day of walking throughout Rome to the beautiful sites. The location is perfect as it is away from the hustle and bustle of touristic areas but walking distance from so many great spots. 10/10 recommend and would return here in a heart beat. We also opted for the breakfast buffet which was so good. It was served at their sister location just a quick walk a few streets over. They can even prepare your breakfast the night before and deliver to your room if you’re planning on hitting the town super early in the morning. Overall, this hotel surpassed our expectations, and I would give them 20 stars if I could.

The rooms were comfortable and clean. They were cleaned everyday with fresh towels left. We had to leave early x2 mornings for tours and airport so the staff left our breakfast in our mini fridge so we did not lose out on a paid meal. The staff was exceptional. They met all of our needs while we were there. It was somewhat removed from restaurants, but we did walk to the Trastevere area a few times and there are multiple dining options there. The walk to the breakfast at the sister hotel was further than we expected. It was quite hard to get a taxi at this location, but once you walked to the hotel, a taxi could be procured quite quickly. The included breakfast at the hotel was delicious, many choices and great service. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a great stay in Rome River Inn! The room was clean and nice. We got a warm welcome and nice Tipps for our stay. The breakfast is 5 minutes by feet away in the sister hotel, but the breakfast itself was delicious. It was a small buffet where you got some bread with different cold cuts, scrambled eggs and some sweets. The service there was also nice and you get hot drinks there. We were satisfied with our stay!

On arival we where greeted by a lovely stafmember, she explained everything from security codes for 24h acces to the building to how the jacuzzi work(depending what room you book ofcourse). Also she fave a map and gave us a few recommendations on where to eat and places to visit (besides the obvious). The room is an adequate size and fairly clean, some dust here and there. The jacuzzi smelled a bit funky when the fan is turned on for bubbles, seemed to us that it needed a good internal rinse/ cleaning. We opted for the breakfast for our entire stay, this is at their main hotel (Navona street hotel) which is a 4/5 min walk from the hotel. Breakfast is simple, scrambled eggs, sausage, beans and bacon, and a small variety of cheese and salami. Not bad, just like I said its simple. They do offer a shuttle service from an to the hotel but the regular cabs charge 10 euro less (its a fixed price for all cabs from an to FCO Airport, 50 euro). All and all not bad but probably well be looking for another hotel for our next visit

Overall I had a good stay. The staff were great and it really makes a difference. What caught my eye was the attention to detail vs. the price. The room that I stayed at needed TLC. The pictures are better than the actual room. Maintenance is important. There are two properties so be careful with the look. The 1st picture of the hotel is the sister property and not this one. I support small business yet it's important to have authentic marketing. It's not enjoyable to pay premium prices to get less than expected.

I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room was not clean – there was dust everywhere, which made it feel neglected and uncomfortable. The bed sheets were dirty, making me question the overall cleanliness standards. The bathroom was also problematic; the door was broken and couldn't be locked, which was very inconvenient. There was no place to hang towels, and to make matters worse, the towel dryer was broken. Overall, the room seemed poorly maintained and did not meet basic expectations for cleanliness and comfort.

Perfect location - right off a main street, but perfect to walk to Trastevere and all the restaurants and bars around. Lime scooters nearby helped make everything easier too as far as getting to the main attractions of Rome. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the little bottle of champagne waiting was such a nice touch. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the building is clearly a residential building as well, and the hotel did not insulate. We had a young child above us who essentially did gymnastics and smashed into the floors and walls all day, sometimes well past midnight. They screamed as they ran around and threw things as well. I do believe the hotel should be able to rectify this, whether speaking to the resident or adding even just a bit of soundproofing in the ceilings of the rooms. It was a nightmare to be there during the day when the child was home. Otherwise, amazing stay.

We had a young child above us who essentially did gymnastics and smashed into the floors and walls all day, sometimes well past midnight. They screamed as they ran around and threw things as well. I do believe the hotel should be able to rectify this, whether speaking to the resident or adding even just a bit of soundproofing in the ceilings of the rooms. It was a nightmare to be there during the day when the child was home. Otherwise, amazing stay.

Pros: -Bed was very comfortable! -Spacious room -Easy check-in process -Airport pick up was very nice, our driver was excellent and friendly. -Excellent, central location to everything. We walked everywhere, even all the way to the Colosseum (30ish minutes). -Nespresso machine in lobby -Shampoo and body wash scents were lovely. Cons: -Hot tub made the room humid, so the room had a bad odor because of it. Smell was noticeable when you enter the room, but you get used to it and don’t notice it after a while. -Floor boards near the jacuzzi had some water damage, but no surprise there. -Located on a very busy street, so we often heard sirens. Neutral: -About a 7 minute walk to the breakfast hotel, used Google Maps to navigate. Breakfast was decent the day we went! -Towels were changed out everyday. The towels had a slight vinegary odor, but were clean and fine to use. -Hot tub was nice, but couldn’t get the temperature where we wanted it. Overall a nice stay. I would opt for a room without the hot tub next time.

Vi var 4 personer som reste, hade två rum. Det ena var stort och ljust, låg ut mot gatan. Trevligt rum men rätt störande trafik även med fönstret stängt. Det andra rummet låg mot en liten innergård och var mindre och ganska mörkt. Men det var å andra sidan väldigt tyst. Båda rummen enkla men rena med sköna sängar. Frukost serverades på huvudhotellet några minuter bort. Bra frukost och skönt med en liten promenad. Läget på hotellet är helt perfekt, nära till Vatikanstaten, Pantheon och Trastevere. Nice location in between the historic centre and Trastevere. It's entirely separate from the hotel, which is about a five minute walk away, and it doesn't have reception staff on site. I was unaware of this when booking and it was a bit disconcerting. However the staff from the hotel are very friendly and helpful and check in and check out were easy. The only issue we had was with the shower as the water escaped onto the floor from the spray and the floor got really wet. Other than this we had a very easy stay and it was nice to be close to the river and slightly away from all the tourists.

The room was large and clean, the location was within walking distance to many sites including the Vatican. The area is a fantastic Rome experience. The only complaint we had was the people who live upstairs would stomp around from about 3 to 7, guessing kids but it was annoying if you’re trying to rest before heading back out. The staff were excellent and we loved the breakfast, at their main hotel a couple blocks away

Staff were fantastic, always wanting to help in every possible way. Cleanliness was never an issue and rooms were cleaned daily. The road outside of the hotel was loud and could keep you up if you were a light sleeper, however this did not take away from the overwhelming positive experience at the Rome River Inn. (Bed in the room being gigantic was a big plus too!)

Overall this place is a disaster, I got there and I had to wait about 5 minutes to somebody open the door, I had to climb stairs with my suitcase, second I didn't wanted to say over-there and I request to talk to a manager or someone in charge of the hotel and I was told by the secretary that the only manager was out of rome and no one was there, just another secretary that has more experience than her, I stay over 3 hours waiting to see her and she never arrived, I had a tour in the room and the room was terrible, super dark and has nothing to do with the pictures shown in Expedia, I called Expedia and no one helped me, they gave the same answer to them and they stayed with that answer, they just told expedia in another email that I didn't saw the room which was not true, the building is a shared building with people living in there, meaning that you have to share the property with them, I don't know how this place has 9.4 in Expedia, but if you are on vacations and want to have a great time, please go somewhere else.

We loved our stay here! It was a nice quiet area even though it’s on the main road by the Tiber River. We picked this location because of its walkable distance to the main sites. The farthest we walked was 26 mins to the colosseum and pantheon. And in the opposite direction, the Vatican was a 13 minute walk. Staff was very quick and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. Eva was super friendly and met us at check in. Shuttle to and from airport was booked through the Inn and shuttles were private, clean, and on time. The Inn itself was small we we liked. It wasn’t busy and we hardly saw anyone which we personally liked! You get in and out with a code which was easy and safe knowing only those staying there can walk into the building. On our checkout date we had to go before breakfast was served so we’d figured we’d buy breakfast at airport but staff reached out and personally brought us breakfast items the night before which was so kind and thoughtful! Overall, we are super pleased with our stay and I would definitely recommend to everyone! Grazie mille Rome River Inn!

Good location. Easy access to Rome and Vatican. Good breakfast. Also not to forget very friendly and reliable staff. We left something of sentimental value in the safe. We are thankful to be notified by the B&B Rome River Inn that there was a cab strike in Italy on the day of our arrival. They arranged for a car to pick us up at the train station as we were coming in from Venice. Our room was large, comfortable bed, couch, small table and chairs, a desk and the best part was the Whirlpool in our room. Each night we came back from our tours ready for a soak. The bus stop was a few blocks away as well as local small restaurants that were family owned. Our flight was early so they provided us breakfast and arranged for a driver to pick us up at 6:00 am. We highly recommend the B&B Rome River Inn.

Loved this hotel. Olivia was a wonderful manager and helped us with everything we needed. She made a great stay even better. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and the breakfast which was prepared at their sister hotel a few blocks away was fantastic. I would absolutely stay here the next time I visit Rome!

Steps away from the beautiful Via Giulia is this gem of a hotel that occupies two floors in a residential building with marble stairs. The location is exceptional for exploring the historic center and Trastevere neighborhoods on foot. We felt like we were in striking distance on foot from most major sites. The staff was incredibly welcoming from the very beginning, and our room was ready two hours ahead of time. We most appreciated the friendly staff, who helped when there was a small problem in the room and arranged a car service and early breakfast, the quiet location, the daily cleaning and water service, the convenient espresso machine, the very comfy, large beds, and the modern bathroom, which was much bigger than most European bathrooms. Transportation is difficult in Rome, but at least at this location we could catch buses that run along the river or nearby larger street. Breakfast at the hotel Navona was a pleasure down in the cool stone cave, but you have to walk for five minutes to get there. The biscuits and coffee on both floors of the inn helped fill in the gaps! Rome River Inn checked all of our boxes and then some, and we will recommend it to friends and family. This property is in a very good location, however, it is on a busy road and the traffic noise was significant all day and late into the night. The amenities were very sparse, no full length mirror in the room, only a small bottle of shampoo/shower gel, a hair dryer that was unreliable but there was a back-up which meant you had to switch in the middle of the process. The breakfast was at another location which wasn't far but it did mean you had to walk to get it. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was always cleaned each day with fresh towels.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the B&B Rome River Inn! It was our first time to Rome and honestly this place would be our first consideration in the future. The location is perfect! My wife and I walked all over Rome and the Rome River Inn is ideally located, if you don't mind walking. The bed was nice, large and comfortable. There is no thrills just a great centrally, clean hotel in the middle of everything. The breakfast was a few blocks away but my wife and I did not mind at all walking the streets of Rome. The staff were extremely nice and attentive to our needs. Can not wait to return to Roma!

The breakfast is about a 10-15 minute offsite at a sister hotel but well worth the walk. It was an amazing breakfast with so many wonderful, healthy options and great quality of food. The hotel is on a busy street but as long as the windows are closed, it cuts the noise down. The bottle of complimentary wine in the room was very nice. The front desk staff was able to arrange our transport to and from the airport.

The hotel is on a busy street but as long as the windows are closed, it cuts the noise down. The bottle of complimentary wine in the room was very nice. The front desk staff was able to arrange our transport to and from the airport.

Nice location, clean and comfortable. However, the steps on the entrance made it difficult for my mother in law to enter the building. Also the breakfast was on another building so if you have trouble walking is not good. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend it for young people who can walk easily as it is on a good location and is comfortable.

We loved our stay here! It was a nice quiet area even though it’s on the main road by the Tiber River. We picked this location because of its walkable distance to the main sites. The farthest we walked was 26 mins to the colosseum and pantheon. And in the opposite direction, the Vatican was a 13 minute walk. Staff was very quick and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. Eva was super friendly and met us at check in. Shuttle to and from airport was booked through the Inn and shuttles were private, clean, and on time. The Inn itself was small we we liked. It wasn’t busy and we hardly saw anyone which we personally liked! You get in and out with a code which was easy and safe knowing only those staying there can walk into the building. On our checkout date we had to go before breakfast was served so we’d figured we’d buy breakfast at airport but staff reached out and personally brought us breakfast items the night before which was so kind and thoughtful! Overall, we are super pleased with our stay and I would definitely recommend to everyone! Grazie mille Rome River Inn!

It is great. Very close to the main attractions (25-30 mins to the farthest one, which is normal in Rome). It includes an amazing breakfast, specially for those used to have an American breakfast since you have eggs and a lot more in a buffet service style. Hosts are great too.

We had a great stay at the River Inn . The rooms were small but modern and cleaned daily. The staff were fantastic . Francesca in particular was very helpful. She helped us book transfers , suggested restaurants and pointed out areas of interest for us to visit. The location was good : 10 minute walk from Piazza Novona / main road where you can go on the ‘Big Bus Tour.’ The reception area isn’t always manned but they do have a WhatsApp number , so getting hold of someone isn’t a problem . The breakfast is a short walk at the sister hotel. The selection was good and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay ! Thank you again :)

We had a great stay in Rome River Inn! The room was clean and nice. We got a warm welcome and nice Tipps for our stay. The breakfast is 5 minutes by feet away in the sister hotel, but the breakfast itself was delicious. It was a small buffet where you got some bread with different cold cuts, scrambled eggs and some sweets. The service there was also nice and you get hot drinks there. We were satisfied with our stay!

A lovely place in. Fantastic location with views of the Tiber river. Don’t expect roomy but you’ll be comfortable. We were able to walk everywhere. Breakfast was nice but little variety. Real scrambled eggs.

The annex is a bit unwelcoming to arrive at and you feel like you're staying in a room in an apartment building, not in a cozy BnB or a hotel. There are really any amenities and it isn't especially aesthetic. Again: Good value, very kind staff, but not an especially amazing place.

I would definitely stay here again. Staff were especially responsive and very helpful with storing luggage and transportation needs. Breakfast was a short walk away at their sister hotel and was very good. Room was clean, daily towel changes. Looks like a recent renovation. Bathroom very modern. They had an old fashioned lift to get upstairs although there was a flight of stairs that you had to go up to get to the main floor. Location was fantastic. Would highly recommend.

This was my second stay at Rome River. Quality was really good, beds comfortable, rooms and bathrooms very clean, location excellent and the staff is always helpful and kind. Breakfast is great, but of course it’s over in their main hotel building which is several blocks away. Our room this time was on the side with the busy street, so noise was an issue. We travel often so we’ve learned to always sleep with earplugs in this scenario. Interior rooms didn’t seem to have the noise issue. The price is very good for the location and quality offered and that’s one of the reasons we came back.
