The front door did not close completely. The safety latch did work. The air conditioning worked during the day, shut off at night. The bathtub faucet leaked and got things wet. The pool was closed. No mention of that on the website. No breakfast items either. The staff went over a very long list of items that could have been charged for. But no discount for all the problems. The pictures on the website are not accurate.

The one pro first... The room was clean. I stood in the lobby waiting for almost 5 minutes before somebody showed up. During check in, 5 police cars pulled in apparently looking for somebody. That doesn't make a good impression. Nor did the exteriors of the buildings with huge weeds growing all over the place in what were suppose to be flower beds. The room was big enough, but little things like the lamps not plugged in and the bathroom door swinging the wrong way (blocking the sink) were aggravating. Additionally, the drains weren't good with the shower ending up with a swimming pool in the tub. I couldn't wait to leave the next morning.

The outside appearance and walking into to lobby made me nervous. Very old and dirty. The gentleman who checked me was super nice. My room was actually very nice and clean. Outside property needs some work. Building is old and worn. Time for some paint and weed eater. But room was nice

The pictures leave you believing this is a hotel. And it's clearly a motel. Drugs deals happening on property. Pool was closed down. Does not say that on app. Front desk was rude. Unexpected deposit that it hidden at bottom of page. Front desk called manager and manager told me he would refund me. That I wasn't going to find anywhere any nicer. To get off his property.

The whole property is dirty, run down, trash everywhere, the rooms are ok, but they wanted me to leave a $ 50.00 deposit for damage, haha, but what do you do, I have stayed here many times throughout the years, and it just keeps getting worse never again.

The property advertised as “pet friendly” but charged me for replacement of sheets due to some paw prints on sheets that would easily come out in the wash. They also charged me for makeup stains on the duvet that were there when I checked in. The parking lot is full of potholes and there’s trash and old tires all around the parking areas. When it rained, the parking lot flooded with ankle to mid calf deep water. The pool is not operational and the dining room is stacked with furniture and mattresses. By the time they charged me the extra fees, I should have just stayed somewhere nicer with higher ratings. The staff tried to be nice, but the linen policies were just crazy for a facility this run down. I will say the room had recently been remodeled (but not the bathroom) and I was surprised that the interior was cleaner than expected. Overall, very dissatisfied and would not stay here again, despite the convenient location when attending events at the expo center.

Absolutely the most disgusting place I've ever had to pay my hard earned money to stay in!!! Property was unkept, lobby dirty and stinky. Had i not just driven all day and half the night before succumbing to exhaustion, i would have demanded a refund and sought oth accommodations.

This place was so dirty, so many bugs the bed smelled horrible the mattresses were very questionable, she sheets smelled like BO the area seemed very unsafe, roaches were everywhere, the walls, the bathroom, and there may or may not have been bedbugs. I get it. Its a cheap place but it was just disgusting rooms should be like 40 bucks at that conditon.

It was okay to stay at no bugs or anything but the floor was dirty my toddlers walk around barfoot and the bottoms of their feet were gross i had to buy a brom and swiffer mop to clean the floor so my kidould play. All the sheets and bedding are white and they told me they would keep my deposit if we had any kind of stains on the bedding including paw prints from our dog. I paid a pet fee and my child got footprints on the bedding because the floor was so dirty and they kept my deposit. I will not be staying here again.

The room was smoking which was an accident on my behalf so thats part of the problem. I laid on the clean white sheets with clean wet hair and there was a yellow ring where my hair had wet i guess the mattress where the nicotine bled out. The whole room reeked of cigarette smoke. Which is ok, since i did the booking and didnt see that. But there where blood splatters and dirty hand prints on the doors and on the wall in the bathroom. The light switches where grimmy where they have not been wiped in awhile. The door handles where all sticky and grimy. The remote wouldn't work for the tv and we couldnt get anything to play. The door between the rooms had no seal so i could see the light from his tv all night and hear him very well.

While i didnt notice until the morning, my room door didnt close all the way and didnt latch. I did notice my deadbolt didnt latch, and i let that slide due to the little flick latch thing they had on the door was well. Otherwise the staff were nice. The grounds were fine, nothing to write home about. The rooms were clean enough.

Was asked to leave a 50 dollar deposit and after checkout was charged 30 dollars by them for supposedly stains on towels and pillow cases which is a lie because i never even ate in room.Was given the qrong room i paid for a king they gave a double bed instead.If expedia reads the reviews he has done the 30 dollar charge to alot of customers.Expedia should remove them off there site nothing but no good thieves Dude in front was very rude when i called and asked about the 30 dollar charge

The lady at the front desk here was great! They have updated their rooms, but there is so much riff raff loitering around the property and so much trash everywhere by the back building that just makes it look and feel unsafe. I’m not one that scares very easily but I think I’ll find different accommodations if and when I come back to Abilene.

The staff was was very rude it was not very cleanand very dangerous . I would honestly like my money back i even had to leave there and rent another motel .There was a dangerous hose in the pool plus there was electrical outlets with wires hanging out of them . Also there was rusty and jagged edges on the stairs and boogers on our motel room wall nasty and stained bedding and a guy tried asking us to buy fetanyl in the parking lot. I am very unhappy with econolodge and me and my family felt very unsafe.

Do not stay here the shower curtain rod was coming out of the wall. They are rude and thieves. If you have a sevice dog in training the still charge you for it and they dont like service animals on the property. However if your looking for drugs its a good place to find them. The rooms are not worth the rate. They do not offer any kind of breakfast. They charge you and charge you its hard to believe that they dont have the money to fix thing or offer some type of Breakfast. However the most important part of this review is that they will still charge you for a service animal and if you try to fight it the get rude and nasty and keep coming up with excuses as to why the can charge.

When showing up, we waited 10 minutes in the lobby because there was no one at the front desk to receive, it was said that there would be a light breakfast meaning, of course we all know cereal or coffee or something but there was nothing and again no one at the front desk with the science stating there was no one at the front desk. We will not be staying there anytime in the future The shower fixtures were loose and dripping water, all them outside of the tub and getting the big, huge roaches wet. They were dead on the floor all around which I guess is a good thing they weren’t alive.

Room was dirty. .water faucets were broken. Beds were lumpy and not at all comfy. Stayed 4 nights only because our car broke down there. Housekeeping never once came by and checked to see if we needed towels or sheets. My wife had to go to front desk to ask for towels and they made it an issue when she ask for clean sheets. Staff was rude to her. Checking in was a frickin nightmare. A total inconvenience. Price for room was cheap but still too much. Roaches on bed and crickets behind the bed. No breakfast. No pool. Can't believe city doesn't shut this place down. This is by far the worst motel in Abilene. Trust me, 5 more minutes heading west on south first is better lodging. The bottom of our feet were black from walking on floor. And I been hearing and reading reviews on the nightmare of getting my 100 dollar deposit back. Before we check out today I will video the shape of this room. We caused no damage. Just few towels got very dirty from soaking up the water leaking out the fridge.
