Rodeway Inn Abilene West

The bed was full of bed bugs. I had to check out in the middle of the night. A manager was supposed to call me but they haven’t. They said I was going to receive a full refund.

This was by far one of the worst motel experiences I’ve ever had. The room felt unsafe from the moment we walked in — the door would not lock securely, which was extremely concerning. The television barely worked, had no service, and wouldn’t even turn off properly. To make matters worse, there was no hot water during our stay, and the bathroom only had one towel provided. Basic accommodations were clearly not a priority here. The staff was rude and unhelpful whenever we tried to address the issues, and the overall atmosphere of the property was uncomfortable. Several of the other tenants seemed very sketchy, which only added to the feeling of being unsafe. I would absolutely not stay here again and would not recommend this motel to anyone.

The staff working the front that checked us in She was Excellent! Wish I’d gotten her name. But the manager was rude and ignored us. The 3 nights we were there housekeeping never cleaned our room nor gave us clean towels. Either we had to track them down or ask front desk and majority of the time were told they were in the washer. Had issues with the tv remote, they gave us another one but we ended up having to turn the tv and volume up manually on the tv. Toilet was filthy and the seat wasn’t connected, fridge was dirty, microwave didn’t work properly, 1 roach and a lot of Gnats! With the rooms all being indoors and floor to ceiling windows the guests in the lounge area were loud all night drinking and playing loud music which echoed.

Oy. I'm curious to know what hotel this used to be! My husband thinks there used to be a pool in the GINORMOUS atrium. The guy who checked us in was super nice. But man.... This place is in rough shape. Graffiti on our door to newspaper stuffed in the cracks to the door to the adjoining room. One towel to share between my husband and myself...one pillow per bed. But, the had a hairdryer that worked great and the mini fridge kept our drinks cold.
