Beautiful hotel and its history. I would love to have an event there. Elegant food, great pool. The only criticism I would give is to have longer pool hours past 7pm.

I expected much better. Ignore the photographs show on Expedia. The room had no Aircon , looked like a 1970 youth hostel, had a bed like concrete and was next to the carpark. The second night had an 18th birthday party with extremely loud music with speakers around the grounds of the hotel. Heavy drum and Bass kept me awake till past 1230am. When I complained to staff I was told that "18 birthdays are a big occasion here in Italy with no apology". Third evening had another unexpected event with loud music and crowds of people attending. Again loud music and motorbike engines going on till 1am. We wake up on the morning to rubbish and plastic glasses all over the gardens , around the swimming pool. We were thrown out of the swimming pool early as we were told it was to be used for the event.. even though we obviously paid for it use! Surely the hotel should take care of it's guests and at least inform them of the events before booking ?I booked for 7 nights and I left after 3. It was affecting my mental health..I came here for a holiday! Never again. A shambles.

The hotel is in a great location that is walkable from the metro (10 minutes) and the Herculean (20 minutes). The area around is quite run down but there are good restaurants to find. The harbour area near the station has had some investment and is ok. The hotel itself is quite old but reasonable we’ll furnished. The grounds are nice and pool, including bar, is great to relax by. The thing that really let my stay down was my room. It appears they have created more rooms in the main buildings loft space. The result of this is no windows and only a very small loft window. As this to the very basic furniture and very standard bathroom fittings and it was very disappointing. It felt and looked more like a hostel than a hotel room. Shame as the staff were great.

Unique place. 400y old villa converted into a small hotel. Looks like only 12 rooms but has pool, grounds, parking, and nice restaurant. Had the smallest room and would not be good for a week stay, but worth the look for the uniqueness and get away from the boring. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. 15m walk to train station, ocean, and restaurants. Desk speaks English and very helpful. Would go back.

Fabulous staff, and a massive baronial room with the biggest shower I’ve ever seen. Breakfast was brilliant, lots of options and good coffee The pool and bar were a welcome surprise. It’s an old building and so don’t expect it to be anything but that. The area is not central to Naples but there are nice restaurants and cafes and is great for visiting Herculaneum. Didn’t use the parking but there was ample secure space and 20 min walk to the train station.

Our room (suite) was delightful with 2nd room. This grand old, slightly bedraggled, historic villa is what it is… a cherished experience to stay in. The 25-foot ceilings with art in the medallion center, the massive furniture, the comfy bed, the modern bathroom — this capped off 10 days in Italy with a better sense of 18th century history. And we enjoyed the pool too!

The room was luxurious with a large bathtub, very comfortable bed, and tall ceilings with the original painted artwork still visible. We felt very welcome and cared for by the staff at the Villa and the onsite award-winning restaurant. The pool was perfect for relaxing to enjoy the late summer afternoon with a cocktail and a refreshing dip in the water. Every area was clean from our room to the manicured grounds. We ate at the restaurant multiple times. The daily breakfast was above expectations. We returned several nights to eat dinner because the service and the food were excellent.

Gentillesse et disponibilité du personnel a l'accueil. En revanche, côté restaurant, pas top. Impression de déranger. Petit-déjeuner moyen et non dimensionné (après un groupe, les plateaux sont vides et le restent un moment , on est allés le prendre en ville), café en verseuse : plus que moyen pour un 4 etoiles en Italie (pays du café). La chambre sentait le renfermé et l'humidité ; la climatisation l'atténuait légèrement. En résumé : très beau bâtiment mais non entretenu (jardins, abords piscine) et c'est dommage. Ne mérite pas les 4 etoiles. Prix trop élevés par rapport aux prestations

Selve hotellbygget har en gang vært en pen villa, og suitene er sikkert fine å bo i. Bærer preg av dårlig vedlikehold og møter ikke kriteriene for et 4-stjerners hotell. Bassengområdet var ok. Vi hadde et rom i sidebygget, med liten veranda mot parkeringen. Standardrommene har svært enkel standard, og aircondition funket såvidt og bråkte så vanvittig at det ikke var mulig å sove med den på. Ble derfor veldig varmt og ubehagelig om natten. Dårlig lydisolert, slik at vi hørte naboene prate og trafikken utenfor godt. Våknet også av at kattene på området sloss om natten. Dårlig rengjort i hjørnene på badet og toalettbørsten var nasty. Frokosten var av det enkle slaget og ingen ting å skryte av. Brødet var hardt som stein og virket som rester etter det de serverer til middagen dagen før. Vi spiste middag på hotellet da vi kom og begge ble matforgiftet. Personalet var hjelpsomme, men flere av de ansatte virket uerfarne og ikke alle var like vennlige. Området rundt hotellet er ikke noe særlig, men det er kort vei til togstasjonen og greit med parkeringer på området dersom man kommer med bil.

Beautiful but funky villa. The main hotel and event spaces are beautiful. The room was large enough with high ceiling and elaborate 19 century decor. The shower was tiny and both shower and sink drain so slowly that scum builds up. AC Unit didn’t work. Luckily it was cool in evening with large windows to balcony overlooking sea. Restaurant has lovely outdoor area but food pretty mediocre. Risotto and pasta very undercooked ( not just al dente) and seafood portions tiny.

It was a charming villa, but our room could use some updated amenities. The beds were not very comfortable. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool area was nice and relaxing away from the bustle of the city.

This is a gem in a historic though tired area … a really fantastic find. It is authentic ..it appears grand though very lived in. Staying in the delux rooms meant we were in the main house ..stunning and original furniture. I stayed in the annexe last year (standard) which was more basic but one still had use of the grander house for meals

The room was great. The beds are a little firm but much more preferable than too soft for us. There are 2 heavy gates to access the property plus the locked door to the lobby then finally our room so safety was never a concern. Our host communicated quickly after I had posed several questions and was even timely in her response when I had a question after checkout. The AC worked great which seems to be a luxury in Italy (fair to poor AC in Rome and Pisa). My daughter loved the large balcony to have offer and people watch. We would definitely stay again.

The 25-foot ceilings with art in the medallion center, the massive furniture, the comfy bed, the modern bathroom — this capped off 10 days in Italy with a better sense of 18th century history. And we enjoyed the pool too!

Nos trataron de maravilla. Al llegar, nos dieron una mejor habitación de la que habíamos reservado. La habitación, en la parte antigua de la Villa, es tal vez las más hermosa habitación que dormimos en todo Italia. It was such a unique experience staying in an 18th-century villa — the property is truly beautiful, full of history and charm. Of course, with any old building, there are quirks. Our room had a plumbing issue at first, but as soon as we mentioned it to the front desk, they had someone come right away and fix it. The shower still had a bit of a smell at first, but it cleared after running the water — to be expected in a building this old. What really made our stay special was the staff. Everyone was warm and helpful, and we especially appreciated the young pool bartender — he was curious and engaging, and added a personal touch to our experience. Other than the typical “old building” issues you just have to accept, the room was amazing and the entire property felt like a hidden gem. It’s also in a great location: very close to Herculaneum and about a 20-minute (uphill) walk to the train station. We’re so glad we found this place and would definitely stay again!

The staff was so helpful in telling us what we should see and where. Very nice people, fluent in English. Wanted to know what we saw that day when we got back. O would HIGHLY recommend and I’m very picky about hotels!

The hotel itself is lovely. The staff were very welcoming, the room was great and the restaurant was really nice too. It has lovely gardens to sit out in and enjoy a bit of sunshine. It's about 15 min walk to the train station and harbour where there are a few nice little restaurants too. It's just unfortunate the area around it isn't as nice but that's nothing to do with the hotel itself.

This hotel is so charming and its vast outdoor property was gorgeous. We will certainly come back to spend more time there and explore all its amenities. Simply breathtaking and close to the Herculaneum. Would certainly stay again and recommend to others.

Unique place. 400y old villa converted into a small hotel. Looks like only 12 rooms but has pool, grounds, parking, and nice restaurant. Had the smallest room and would not be good for a week stay, but worth the look for the uniqueness and get away from the boring. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. 15m walk to train station, ocean, and restaurants. Desk speaks English and very helpful. Would go back.

Det var lite långt från Pompei, hotellet ordnade taxi 60+60 euro så det blev en dyr Pompei vistelse. Det är ungefär 1000 meter till andra restauranger och med tanke på att det är över 30 grader på kvällen så är det lite svettigt om man inte vill äta på hotellet

The room was luxurious with a large bathtub, very comfortable bed, and tall ceilings with the original painted artwork still visible. We felt very welcome and cared for by the staff at the Villa and the onsite award-winning restaurant. The pool was perfect for relaxing to enjoy the late summer afternoon with a cocktail and a refreshing dip in the water. Every area was clean from our room to the manicured grounds. We ate at the restaurant multiple times. The daily breakfast was above expectations. We returned several nights to eat dinner because the service and the food were excellent.

A wonderful property with a classic, and aristocratic feel. After a long journey, we were able to relax and rest on the quiet patio. We read a book and took in the wonderful sunshine. We were able to enjoy the food at the restaurant. They offered a variety of choices for dinner which featuring local cuisine and wines. A good variety was also available for breakfast to start our day. After dinner we were able to take a short stroll around the property and enjoy the gardens, orchards and little pavilions featuring interesting dioramas. The staff was very friendly and very responsive to our request when we had a small issue. The room was always clean , quiet and felt very relaxing,when we returned from a day of touring the local sites surrounding Naples. I would definitely recommend and will definitely return to this villa when in the area. Thank you for helping us make wonderful memories of Napoli. Mille grazie

There was nothing particularly wrong with this place. However it is not 4 Star hotel. Place is very tired from the grounds around the place to the room we were given. Breakfast was OK, eggs and bacon were lukewarm when we got there every day and I didn’t feel comfortable asking for a second coffee because it wasn’t self service. I guess price point should have been an indication. On positive note place is very close to Herculenium, 12 min walk to the train station for Napoli or Salerno in the other direction. Staff were all nice enough but nothing special.

Beautiful but funky villa. The main hotel and event spaces are beautiful. The room was large enough with high ceiling and elaborate 19 century decor. Beautiful but funky villa. The main hotel and event spaces are beautiful. The room was large enough with high ceiling and elaborate 19 century decor. A once beautiful Villa, however the walls and ceiling are crumbling. We booked for 3, paid for 3 but I had to ask for pillows and towels for the 3rd person. Great restaurant.
