Blue Elk Inn

The views were amazing. I like the fact that it was off the beaten path and more private and secluded than than other hotels. So when we want to sit in the backyard we were pretty much alone pretty it was a pretty setting. Only thing I do was like was the fact the hot tub was broken and they didn't tell us and we didn't get to use it the whole time we were there. But they did give us a 10% discount which helped a little.

Amazing, we took advantage of the sauna, hot tub, and pool. Breakfast outside on the patio was lovely with their beautiful gardens.

Wonderful breakfast. Chloe and the front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. Fire pits outside, lots of outdoor seating with beautiful views. We enjoyed the sauna- 1 was up a set of stairs on a deck and it felt like we were in a treehouse. Beautiful flowers and gardens. Someone was always working on them and keeping everything g neat and tidy. We walked to town for meals , shopping and fun( floating on the River). Very close to beautiful hikes. Loved the free bikes at the inn!! Would recommend this highly.

Really cute place. The service was awesome especially Chloe who checked us in and made us a to go bag breakfast for our long hike to Colchuck Lake. Having the sauna and hot tub accessible after the hike was so great. The hot breakfast the second day was delicious. Great coffee! And we even snuck in another early morning hot tub soak. The room was gorgeous. In room air conditioning was dated, but opening the window was fine for letting cool air in. It was a pretty perfect stay!

On the website maybe I misunderstood it says the pool is open March-October as in it’s closed in March and October open in between those months. The hot tub was kind of small and had some cracks in it not that it made a difference. Breakfast was amazing. The room was great. My son and I had fun on the scavenger hunt they have.

Blue Elk was great!! The staff were very friendly and the whole place was clean and cute. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were all super fun!

I stayed for one night and had a very good experience overall. The room was really clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great, with a nice selection of juices, fruits, eggs, and coffee. Since the day was very hot, we also enjoyed spending some time at the pool, which was a perfect addition. The only downside was the noise coming from the room above us. The person upstairs had a heavy walk, which made it difficult to fall asleep. I think staying on the top floor would have made the experience even better. Other than that, everything was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the place was well kept.

The hotel had every amenity you could think of. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and bikes. Very close to town and the extremely clean!

I’ll start with the good- the decor and character were amazing. Charming. Well decorated rooms. Comfortable beds. Beautiful grounds and awesome breakfast. The unfortunate- While the front desk inaccurately stated (to every guest checking in) the pool and hot tub were open until 9… the pool was clearly drained and being maintained (closed for the season) and the hot tub was covered with a sign saying it was out of order. Since these were critical features in the booking of our stay- we were disappointed- but the front desk was very kind and apologetic and offered to keep the saunas open late for us as well as a discount on our stay. We were thankful for the integrity of Inn and I’ll be back again soon!

I have to say I was a bit disappointed. Not a very friendly check in from the gal, very dirty, murky, water in the swimming pool and full of bugs. No strainer or filter. Then a lot of bugs in the carpet in our hotel room. They kept jumping up on our legs. Very normal breakfast you can get anywhere. Pretty comfortable bed. I think I expected more.

What an absolute gem of a property. Loved every bit of the room and backyard. We will definitely book again. The cleanest room you have ever seen. The attention to details was impeccable.

Very nice property. Rooms were newly renovated and very clean. All the rooms are pet friendly which was a plus and the property was very quiet overall. We hardly heard any noise coming from the rooms next to us. The included breakfast buffet was a nice surprise and included a variety of hot and cold options. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you have pets.

Probably the cleanest and best kept place we have stayed at in many years. ...and our cockapoo dog is particularly keen on smells ...this room was smell-free! Nice cozy/quiet place...a very short drive from the bustle of downtown Leavenworth.

I like the set up of Suite room. The property is homey but an upgrade Jacuzzi is needed and please maintain swimming pool cleanliness.

We enjoyed the stay. Very quiet area at the end of Leavenworth, clean and cared for place. The only disadvange is the lack of insulation - but you live with that if you are lucky not to have noisy or loud neighbors. Still our experience was very good.

What a gem! Very spacious room, comfortable beds and we were surprised to find that our room had an balcony! The staff was very helpful and nice.

I returned to Blue Elk with family and friends after spending the New Year and having a great stay in one of their suites. This time we chose a smaller room as we only stayed for one night (room 211). Everything was great as the first time, except for the VERY noisy A/C device. It felt like you had your grannie's old truck running next to your bed. It also needs some fixing on the thermostat, as even though it was set to 68 degrees for the night, we felt like being in a sauna. Only the morning after we understood why the previous guest had left the window slightly open. They surely felt the excessive heat not matching what the A/C display showed. Breakfast was good overall with burritos and miniburgers and coupled with fresh fruit, yogurt and fresh coffee. Very walkable to the rest of the town if you are not a lazy slob (20 min walk to the main plaza) or are afraid of cold weather in the winter. Will surely return again as overall this is a very pretty hotel with a good rates and clean rooms without that old carpet smell you get on other hotels in town.

We had a one king, one queen room and it was huge!! Beds were comfortable, breakfast was wonderful. The place is adorable! Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed staying here. The only thing that we would change is that the air conditioning unit sounded like a jet engine. It was quite loud even on low.

The Blue Elk Inn is close to the fun Adventure Park Roller Coaster which is fun to watch. The views from the hotel are spectacular. The breakfast area behind the hotel allows for quiet, intimate breakfast in a beautiful setting. We rented a small room. Electrical outlets for charging phones were not conveniently placed. The bed was comfortable. Room was comfortable, safe and felt private. My husband and I enjoyed our stay in the room.

Loved the patio fireplace. Sitting by fire looking at the mountains. So serene. Room was gorgeous. New and fresh. Picture don't do it justice.

Blue Elk fuses many of the best things I was looking for in a Leavenworth hotel. Close enough to be walkable to downtown (and they offer bikes), far enough removed to be quiet and spacious. The hotel was incredibly clean and the theme became endearing. Property offers many well-maintained amenities and free breakfast; the grounds were great for relaxing. The only odd thing of note was no one was there and the grounds/amenities were locked up after 8:30pm, which is still primetime for some. Highly recommend for families, couples, singles looking to maximize their budget.

They got us rooms last minute after our VRBO fell through. The staff was so kind and accommodating.

The property was beautiful, the room was great, the check-in not so much. We waited at the front desk for 15 minutes before a maintenance worker showed up and finally got someone to check us in. Only downside to an otherwise pleasant experience.

The reception we got on our arrival evening was rather rude for the young lady who apparently was trying to go through the motions of her job. The rest of the stay was rather forgettable as our 2 rooms were booked on SEPARATE FLOORS. In addition we were routinely interrupted by the heavy feet of the guests above our room on the 2nd floor. The staff were courteous the rest of our stay including the person who received us on our arrival .

We loved our stay at the Blue Elk Inn. The staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived throughout our stay available for questions and information on local activities. The property and our room were clean, polished and inviting. Make sure to ask for a robe before your stay as they offer that to guests who ask about extra towels. I like that the property is a little distance from downtown which made it quiet but still close enough to walk to all the shops and restaurants. It’s also right next door to the adventure park! This place is a gem!

I liked everything but the food. Also I was not told the rooms get clean only of you ask for that. I asked for a late check out of 1 hour, they said that it would be $25 just for one hour.

Nice, quiet location and still close enough to walk to town. The property grounds are beautiful, the mountain view is lovely, the bed was comfy, and the breakfast was very good and delish.

Nice view of the mountains. Very nice hot breakfast buffet, included scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, juice, hard boiled eggs, French toast and cereal. Newly renovated rooms and friendly staff. Quiet location several blocks from the highway, about 1 mile from downtown Levenworth. I would stay here again.

Lots of things to do and town is half a mile away.

We LOVED the Blue Elk Inn. We would 100% stay here again in the future. Just far enough away from the core town so that you don’t have too many people, but totally walkable to all the shopping and restaurants within 1 mile max! About 30 min drive to Colchuk lake hike too. Excellent place to stay in Leavenworth!

Remodeled clean friendly hotel with complimentary hot breakfast. Walkable to Adventure park, river and town. Farther from town than some hotels but quiet. Will stay next time we return

Quiet close to trails and town

Helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed a quiet night away from the busy center of town, yet the hotel is only a few blocks and an easy walk to it.

This was my first time in Leavenworth, WA. I've only lived in the state for about a year and a half. My experience....I would go back again, and again, every year. The Blue Elk is located down a dead end street, so you have quite for the night hours. I didn't use my car a single time during my stay. I pulled into the Blue Elk parking lot, And did t move it until checkout. Driving was not necessary. You are at most a 20 minute walk from the village if you walk VERY slow. The Sauna requires a reservation, so keep that in mind. Book that before your trip or right when you get there. They only will do 3o minutes at a time. So try to get in early and book an hour. Absolutely worth it. The breakfast was incredible by hotel standards. I'm used to the traditional "Continental breakfast." This was NOT that. Fresh scrambled eggs, hot and fresh tortillas, refried beans, chorizo (crumbles style) salsa Verde which was absolutely homemade, fresh fruit.... absolutely delicious, and I was full until about 2 pm. Tip these people. There is a tip jar, and they earned every penny. So yourself a favor. Stay at the Blue Elk Inn. Masters of their craft

The most beautiful, well appointed hotel with stunning gardens and lovely outdoor pool. Staff were wonderful, location perfect for a walk into town. Hidden in the mountains, stunning!

A nice mountain inn that is just enough outside of the busiest part of town. Perfect location with easy and ample parking.

We loved our stay at the Blue Elk! Beautiful accommodations, great amenities including a pool and sauna, close to Wenatchee River and trails. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. We very much appreciated that breakfast was offered at different points in the morning and the variety that was offered - biscuits and gravy and breakfast tacos were so yummy. Staff were so welcoming and friendly. We'll be back!!

The breakfast should start before 8 am

While not in the tourist center, it was quiet and had a lovely outdoor pool. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast included scrambled eggs, fresh fruit and one morning there was biscuits and gravy. If we go back to Leavenworth, we will stay there again. Great for families and dog friendly.

A solid hotel. Super fun with all the blue elk. Sauna is great. Pool too. Appreciated the gratis breakfast but not to my personal liking.

Rooms were great, cozy, cute, and clean! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The outdoor space they have is amazing! Plus makes a great setting in the summer for breakfast! Little cute Easter eggs throughout the hotel made it feel unique. Location is great. Just a couple minute walk to the adventure park, 20ish minute walk or 5 minute drive into downtown Leavenworth, and about 10 minute drive to the Safeway. It also is near the trail that takes you through blackbird park and into Leavenworth! We got that recommendation from the gal working the desk the evening we got there! Rooms clean and tidy, small empty fridge was very appreciated for snacks and drinks. Comfy king size bed. Complimentary breakfasts were so fun and delicious. Hot food with the additional standard breakfast options like bagels, cereal, and oatmeal. I do wish there were a bit more protein options but it was a filling and satisfying breakfast. Having free bike rentals in the summer is such a plus. Theyre first come first serve so we went down early for an hour bike ride and back. They’re single gear adult sized bikes and a bit older so the seats and handle bars aren’t really adjustable but for a free rental it was super convenient and fun to do and they did the job. (Plus in Leavenworth and the trail through blackbird island there are very minimal hills) It was one of our favorite things about the stay! I wish there was at least one more bike since there are only 3. We loved our stay and want to come back.

I booked this property a few months in advance for the holiday season. That being said, the prices were very, very high. The property was very clean and the staff was super friendly. I found it a bit odd to see a tip jar at the complimentary breakfast, especially for such a limited menu, so far beneath what one would expect for the cost to stay here. Serious wage conversations need to be had if that’s the cause there. The price included shockingly little, despite the cleanliness. The walls are very thin and the doors fail to seal very much at all, leaving tons of light and sound to seep through. It was a good stay but my next visit to Leavenworth will include more research on where I stay.

GREAT HOTEL! Comfortable beds. Newly renovated. Spacious room. Very quiet. Didn’t hear anyone above us or beside us. Breakfast was excellent. Food was hot. Scrambled eggs, sausage/bacon, French toast/pancakes, cold cereal, fresh fruit with real whipped cream, good coffee, toast/English muffins. About a mile walk to the square of downtown Leavenworth. Sidewalks were cleared of snow pretty well. Hotel staff were friendly when asked for extra towels and over all each time when encountered. We’d stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend this hotel!
