Absolutely loved this place - has a great set up to be social if you'd like. Has a cinema and events every night. Pretty quiet area and close to the center and Stop 15- note that the entrance is on the marina side, not the street side. Restaurant and bar inside with a great variety. Would certainly stay here again.

The Marina hotel has amazing facilities including a welcoming fire place in the lobby, a beautiful lounge and library, and a very convenient bar and restaurant--all on the ground floor. We took full advantage of the shared rooms and would highly recommend staying here.

Nice rooms, interesting location by working harbor, tons of shopping and food within easy walking distances. Cons are the parking is very challenging, breakfast is very expensive, elevator is slow, prices for everything in Iceland are very expensive. Would stay again.

A lovely quirky hotel which is a bit of a hidden gem. It doesnt look much from the outside but its lovely inside, had a great bar and food was excellent. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

The hotel is nice overall. Small rooms but bed is comfortable. They use l'occitane products which i love. Receptionist were average.The restaurant was good and waitresses were very good. No room service. There is no on site laundry. The view is nice. My biggest complaint. Tv..No smart tv to even log in to Netflix or cast at at all. Very basic channels with 2 of those being in Japanese with no subtitles. Ended up watching on my phone, which i do not typically do. I would stst more in the downtown area with a little more modern convenience

Amazing location! Parking is offsite but we never had an issue finding a spot within a few footsteps from the door. Make sure to have a few cocktails at the restaurant and take a walk to Seabaron next door!

Loved the location next to the marina. The restaurant was fantastic with lots of options and a happy hour. There were lots of nice common areas within the hotel. There was a supermarket and tons of food options within walking distance. The parking was easy although it was about a block away in a dirt lot.

I loved the facilities available Inside the hotel. There was a fire pit, a Comfortable sitting area, A reading room with a library of books waiting for you, And a wonderful restaurant. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice and how to safe for valuables. The hotel is a little out-of-the-way, But not bad. There is plenty of parking nearby.

The bathroom was not clean. Hairs all over the shower both long hairs and pubic hairs. Staff did not want to change my room even after coming to the room and verifying that it was dirty. They said they were not able to change my room even though the hotel was not full.

We had a balcony room (even number). The room was really quiet even with the boats being cleaned in the marina. The hotel was very clean and really nice throughout. The bathroom in our room was better than expected given some reviews. We did not think our shower or overall bathroom was too small. The only thing we noticed is the shower water seems to run out towards the door but was fixed by placing a towel outside of the shower. Breakfast buffet has many options! Staff was really nice and very helpful! Would stay here again!

My partner and I have been staying here on and off for almost 10 years. This stay I noticed the quality has significantly declined: the rooms are not being maintained: fairly worn furniture, walls, decor and not well-cleaned(dirt on floors, sticky counters, all around inattention to details). The coffee machines are now cheap and the hallways and stairs were dirty and not vacuumed once in the 3 days I was there. The breakfast also used to be top notch, but now was pretty terrible option-wise. The location is still great and the staff were all very nice. It appears they’ve been acquired by a chain since we’ve last stayed. I hope they choose to reinvest in the property. It’s been an absolute gem and it’s sad to see it declining. I’m not sure I’ll stay here again on my return trip.

The property itself was fine. Breakfast was included in our stay and the options were enough for some variety throughout the reservation. Cleanliness of the room was subpar. An eaten lollipop stick was found underneath the blanket following our first night. The third day, housekeeping cleaned out room and left bodily fluid, blood, on our bedsheets. We requested new linen for 2 days straight after being told housekeeping leaves at 4 PM and there’s nothing they could do. Quite unsanitary.

The location was wonderful. We loved being so close to the water and so many places to go on foot. The staff was excellent, room was clean and well-maintained, and the rate was great value for what the hotel offerred. Will definitely stay here again when we return to Iceland.

Room itself was very small- no space for luggage. Bed with two pillows only and a small window to crack for air flow. No AC in rooms. Bathroom was shower and toilet basically touching— sign that said “small but functional”; not wrong but not what we expected as a “hotel”. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. Forgoing house keeping you are suppose to get a voucher for a discount at down stair bar. Mini fridge only in room. Lobby is nice and spacious. Lots of seating from couches to chairs, books and more. The bar offers Iceland priced food and drinks with individual bathrooms. Enter is on the water side not street view. Location: short walk to shops and food places. Most things open around 11am. Few grocery stores or minimart with in walking distance.

The decor of the lobby area is perfect with lots of seating and cute little seating areas as well as being attached to the restaurant. The rooms are small but perfectly laid out and decorated. I loved having a balcony looking out at the marina. The bathroom amenities are amazing (L’Occitane), and the room comes with a nice will blanket for cool nights (or balcony sitting). Being right in the marina it’s slightly outside of all the city centre hype, but a super easy and scenic walk in. I loved everything about this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Lovely, quiet location by the harbour. I very much enjoyed my stay, just one note to fellow travellers - I booked a balcony room which was depicted as having a harbour view. Half of the balcony rooms face inland to the city, and so the view is not as inspiring. Would have preferred the option to book a harbour view.

Overall property is fantastic and perfectly located for walking around downtown with kids. Close to grocery stores and attractions. Studio-6 room was perfect for family of 4. Be aware that these rooms sit just below sidewalk level facing towards the street, and can somewhat get warm and stuffy in the summer (no central air in Iceland). Opening the windows brought in cool air, but also noise from the street. Overall we would definitely book this hotel/room again - but bring a small plug-in fan.

We arrived earlier than check in and planned on just leaving our bags, but the incredibly friendly and polite team found a room that was already available to us Walked right past the elevator at first….seems very well disguised but found our room which was incredible. Really spacious with a great view of the harbour. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a great size. Our room was an “accessible” room so no idea if all bathrooms are the same, but we found it to be great. The hotel is quiet, you don’t get to hear all the other guests and reasonably clean. The towels are a bit rough, but that’s the only negative We loved our stay and will be back

Staff is pretty rude and unhelpful. Highlight of my stay was staff entering my room without permission or warning. If you value privacy this is not your place. It’s by no means a 4 star hotel…you’d be better of staying at a generic chain than this place. Saving grace is location.

After a red eye flight and drive from the airport we were exhausted and wanted to rest but had several hours before check-in. We arrived at the hotel early and asked if we could get into our room earlier. The staff was super helpful and got us into a room. We took the power nap of our lives and enjoyed the walk ability of the area after.

The tours picking up at bus stop needs to be widely communicated to guests! Front desk is relatively non-chalant in telling guests that pick up could be at lobby when in my experience it never is. In fact every tour I took says they must pick up at bus stop. Please let the guests know that instead of nonchalantly saying yes to them when they ask if pick up is at lobby. They could be missing a tour with that response!

Amazing location right on the water & super close to shopping & great restaurants/bars. Lovely front desk staff made check-in super easy & free parking was available nearby- wow. Nice room & great view.

The property was a great location. 5 minute walk to Harpa. Downtown shopping, dining and bars. Bus stop 15 2minute walk for activity pickup and drop off for bus tours. Close to town. We stayed for nine nights. Added daily breakfast buffet. Well worth it. Juices, Coffees. Tons of food choices. Great friendly helpful staff. Would highly recommend.

Shipyard location was cool and close to tourist imax exhibits on one side and concert venue on the other while charming town in front of us. The bus stop was a short 3-5 min. walk to hotel. Very cool retro vibe of hotel; friendly staff and big breakfasts.

We stayed for 4 nights and loved it. The property is on the marina and is a lovely quiet area. It is a short walk from everything, and there are lots of restaurants within a short distance. Although there is no parking listed on the property details, we hired a car and there was lots of free parking behind the hotel in a safe area. We had breakfast included and there were lots of options available to suit all tastes. We arrived early after a very early morning flight hoping to have our luggage looked after, but they allowed us to check-in early which was brilliant. We even got upgraded for free to a residential suite instead of the double room we booked as I mentioned it was my partner’s birthday, and this was a really nice touch! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and provided great advice about the local area and any excursions. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Would absolutely stay here again, can’t recommend enough!

The hotel was everything we could have hoped for. The location was brilliant, a short walk to the harbour and the nearest bus stop for excursions was a 2 minute walk. The city centre and tourist hotspots were walkable too. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the hotel was clean, I would definitely stay there again if I go back to Iceland

This was a very nice hotel in a good location to walk into the old town center area for food and shopping. The breakfast was a bit of a shock with it being a buffet costing 35/pp. That seemed a bit high for what they had and depending on the time, it was very crowded due to the tour groups staying at the hotel.

Very good location to visit the Lava show and the Fly Over Iceland but also to go to “downtown” Reykjavik. Good restaurant and bar with friendly staff. Only downside was the Christmas dinner only offering a price fix menu that was pricey .

Second stay here. I like the Scandinavian design and decor. Rooms are small and simple but comfortable. Great sitting areas on ground level that very pleasant. Staff smiling and pleasant. Good location at the harbor. US$36 breakfast is outrageous! Even the staff thought it was crazy. Walk down a block to local cafe.

A lovely quirky hotel which is a bit of a hidden gem. It doesnt look much from the outside but its lovely inside, had a great bar and food was excellent. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Lack of room service was an issue for this supposed 4 star rated property but not a major issue. Friendly front office staff. Food at dinner was surprisingly good, but the breakfast was fair. Pancakes were cold, sausages of poor quality but good coffee and fruits.

The location near the docks was perfect for our walk to and from the small cruise ship we were on for 8 days. The walking distance to old harbor area for shipping perfect too. The rooms are very quiet even to outside noise. Staff helpful in all ways. Also many eating sites close by including one at the restaurant Just a reminder, Iceland is not inexpensive.
