It wasn’t that we didn’t like it. It’s just that I had called and reserved a room weigh in advance, knowing that we were an older couple and needed a downstairs room but when we got there, we were told that was the only one left and it was three flights of stairs and no elevator so that was quite miserable, and the people staying close to us were very loud so it made it hard for us old people to sleep lol otherwise it was fine

The property was conveniently located next to Sanford Medical Center. I was surprised there were no automatic doors to make the property more accessible for the mobility impaired. As well, there was smoking right outside the entrance.

We checked in here so we could be across the street from my father who was having a heart operation. This place was so dusty that my allergies acted up and did not know it until I had time to really look around and see that even the sprinklers in the room in case of fire had an inch of dust on them. The shower was disgusting and the walls were dirty.

The smell when you opened the door was awful like B.O. Complained to management they said it may be the Air-conditioning unit that it leaks and gets carpet wet?! Hu?! It was the beds!!!

Close to Augustana University, University of Sioux Falls, and the hospital. Inexpensive place to stay for a day or two. Staff was friendly. Rooms are a little dated. Overall, good for the price I paid.

Property is closer to the school. Place is quite. Great place for people who just need to stay and sleep for a night. I don't like the separate sink and the bathroom. There was no microwave. Overall the place is okay.

Front desk lady who checked us in was extremely rude. I am lucky I had my 2 friends with me to have my back and step up because she kept saying "nope you're not on the list, no record." And I pulled out my phone to show her my confirmation number and information and she threw up her hand and very rudely stated, "nope nothing on there is going to help me at all." I was dissapointed, at checkout I asked my boyfriend to checkout for me because I didn't feel comfortable seeing her again.

Had to wait with 4 other families for 15 minutes at front desk with nobody working. Someone saw us all waiting and kept doing other things, finally someone called the front desk and she answered and was told we were all waiting. She then helped us but she was all mad about it. Other than that, place was ok.

I had to wait 15 minutes to check in because the front desk guy walked away and didnt leave a sign to tell you what to do. I had to use the house phone to call the front desk to get him back there.

We only stayed for one night for doctors appointments.... but it was clean and welcoming!!! The lady that checked us in was Great and super nice!!!! Loved how they where fine with my daughters services dog. Yes i would tell people to stay here..... The only thing i wish different would be a better breakfast, like eggs, and sausag, or bacon!!!! But great over all.... Thanks for the stay Valley Inn

We have stayed at this location multiple times over the years. I prefer this property over others due to location and price. For this stay, I arrived at 2 AM due to a travel snafu. My arrival came as an inconvenience to the staff person at the front office. She chewed me out because I used the wrong door and procceded to nag on me for not having a key. How am I to have a key when I am just checking in?! I chalked it up to the employee having a bad night and moved on but it left such a bad taste in my mouth that I will not return.

I checked the reviews before booking the room and it didn't say anything about it not being in a safe location and unfortunately someone stole our license plate holder with our trip permit. The officer was very nice. But the on line review made it sound safe. It was not. The people then said we were on the wrong side of town. Lots of property crime.

Hotel was located perfect to walk downtown with lots of eating establishments on Philips St. beds were very comfortable, large and very clean. Price was amazing compared to others in the area. Will definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable for visiting family in Sioux Falls. We like that it’s not on the interstate. It’s convenient to Sanford Medical Center. The staff is great. Housekeeping does have staffing shortages from time to time. The breakfast is NOT deluxe in any way. It’s bare bones. Toast is passable. Yogurt is fine when it’s available. Coffee is weak. Breakfast needs improvement.

When we rate five star we are taking price into consideration. Overall the room was clean, comfortable and not run down in any way. The bed was amazing. The building is a bit old but suited us just fine. The area seemed safe as was confirmed by locals we talked to at dinner. Breakfast includes no hot food or waffle maker. Again perfectly fine with us with price taken into consideration. Overall we will stay here when in Sioux Falls again for sure.
