Kuhio Shores- Oceanfront, AC, Ground Floor

We really enjoyed our stay at this comfy condo. It was well-equipped and spotlessly clean. This unit is on the top floor, which is the best for turtle watching and whale spotting! The A/C was a nice feature, when winter sun streamed in. Would stay again! One note: the listing mentions laundry amenities, but they are outside the condo in a common area, coin-op. We would have stayed anyway had we known, but might have planned things differently since we were washing cloth diapers every day.

There is no washer / dryer in the unit (washer / dryer on each floor near the elevators; also change machine and laundry supplies vending machine) and no pool. But, again, irrelevant compared with everything that's good! It was a heavenly vacation spot and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Great location and view in Poipu. Every day we would enjoy breakfast watching the ocean waves, and in the evening walk outside and see the sunset. The place is decently spacious, and comes with convenient amenities such as beach chairs and umbrella. On the days we were there, they were cutting some trees and blocked off some parking spaces, which was annoying, but still able to get the last 1-2 spots for parking. Would likely stay there again.

Property was perfect for our family of three. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and beautiful ocean views. The bedrooms were comfortable with individual AC units in each room. The beach supplies were also great for our family including beach chairs and an umbrella. Our unit was in close proximity to the beach, some food options, and the complex was quiet each night.

The condo was very clean, well stocked, all the necessary kitchen items were available for cooking our meals. AC worked great. Grounds between condo and ocean were immaculate. The location is great; right on the ocean, great snorkeling. Wonderful shave ice place right across the street.

I loved my stay at the condo. So clean. Had everything I needed to enjoy my stay, and of course, the ocean! Wow, what a view! Loved waking up early in the morning listening to the waves crash up against the rocks. I would definitely stay there again.

Rick's place was exactly as the pictures showed. Very Clean, lots of stuff in pantry and drawers. Plenty of very nice Towels/Wash Cloths etc. While we did not use the water sports equipment, we were impressed with how many things Rick had available for guests. Would certainly rent Ricks place again.

This was my first experience on VRBO and with this vendor. From booking to checkout it was just so easy. Garden Island Rentals kept me informed at just the right amount throughout the process. The unit was exactly as described - perfect. Start with the ocean view from the balcony. We sat out there for a lot of time. All our sunrises, breakfasts and most of our evenings. We saw at least 4 sea turtles every day feeding in the basalt reef. Surfers were out there too. The kitchen in the unit had everything you could ever need. Every cupboard with filled with items. Including manuals for every appliances. They supplied two big binders as well. One with listings for restaurants and one with additional info for the condo. The living room couch and chairs were very comfortable and the eat in area was perfect for the two of us. I've never used the split style A/C but it was more than adequate. We were there during a period of very high heat and humidity and the units covered it all. We only had the bedroom unit on when going to bed. We turned of the living unit when going out and it would have the unit cooled down nicely within 10 minutes of putting it back on. The kitchen cupboards weren't the only place with everything you could use. The hall cupboard had beach supplies and lots of other useful items. We used the beach supplies at the local beach as well as Poipu beach. The bed was comfortable and we slept well.The unit was spotless. We didn't see one insect!

We watched sea turtles and surfers every day and out of all of the beaches we snorkeled on island, the beach right next door was the best. Highly recommend!

The condo was clean and well stocked with beach items as well as everything you would need for cooking. I appreciated that the kitchen dishes, cookware, etc were in excellent shape. Rick was a pleasure to work with and responded quickly whenever I had questions. I hope to return in 2024.

Fantastic location. We enjoyed watching surfers (and turtles) everyone morning and afternoon. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, beach and Spouting Horn. Easy drive to hiking, Port Allen marina and other beaches. Unit itself is a little dated but had everything we needed for a super chill vacation, which is why we come to Kauai.

The condo was exactly as it was listed. The views from the Lanai were breathtaking. The kitchen had every amenity imaginable. It’s very rare at my wife and I find beds that are comfortable, and the king bed was one of the most comfortable that we have slept on. We certainly hope to return one day

The codo was exactly as pictured and described. Every item that you could need was at your finger tips. The kitchen was a chefs dream. The views from balcony were beautiful and very relaxing for am and pm viewing. Would highly recommend this unit.

Condo is right on the ocean. We enjoyed sitting in the patio, drinking coffee and watching sea turtles in the ocean each morning. Condo is spacious and well laid out.

The property looks exactly as it does in the pictures. When you walk through the door, the first thing you see is the view of the ocean. In the morning, you can sit and watch the sea turtles roll in the surf directly below your lanai. This condo is supplied with all basic amenities you will need plus a few you wouldn’t expect. It has modern updated appliances. We will be back soon!

The condo was a joy to call home for the week we were in Kauai. Beautiful interior, lanai facing the ocean, well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. The location was perfect for all the fun activities we participated around the island. Seeing turtles each morning was an extra delight.

From the moment we opened the door, we knew we had chosen well. The view is fantastic and made spending time at the condo an enhancement of our visit to Kauai. We spent our mornings and evenings watching the sea turtles cavorting in the water, and the waves crashing against the rocks. What a fantastic location. The unit was clean, well-kept, and perfectly appointed. I can't think of a thing we wished they'd provided; everything we didn't even know we'd want, was there. Heck, there was even an ukulele. The hosts clearly know what visitors want and need to make their stay a success. We felt so comfortable and relaxed. Thank you so much for making our visit to the south side so wonderful.

This property is absolutely stunning. The location could not be more perfect. A fantastic snorkeling spot is just steps away, so my husband and I went multiple times each day. Couldn’t have been any better! What a location! Waking up every morning and drinking coffee on the lanai, watching the surfers at sunset, incredible breakfast, dinner and drinks nearby. Rick immediately and thoughtfully responded to all messages, a perfect host. We’re already planning our next trip back!

We had a fantastic vacation at Kuhio shores. The location is perfect - short hop from the airport - very close to Poipu Beach and the Port Allen - for the Napali coast tour boat. The condo was excellent! The views of the turtles were amazing. Never seen so many at one time. Condo was equipped and ready for anything you would need during your stay. Had great snorkeling right on the beach next to the condo. Very safe and friendly staff.

I booked this condo at Kuhio Shores to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday. We stayed one week and it was THE perfect spot. It is probably the closest you will get to the ocean. We slept with the windows open, and you can hear the ocean as you sleep. For the price you pay in other hotels and condos, this is definitely worth the money. We wanted to return in December, but some of the dates were booked. We will definitely return in the future. This condo has everything you need for your trip: beach chairs, towels, snorkel, umbrella, a cooler for lunches. You are right next to the Beachhouse restaurant and a nice area for snorkeling. We saw lots of tropical fish. on the other side of the condo, we saw turtles, and from the rear porch, we saw a whale in the distant ocean. Top Notch!! 5 Stars

We stayed here three nights in January 2025. The property was perfect. Location was awesome ilInstructions for check in/out were great. Bring your binoculars to view the whales and everadvertised.
