I had high hopes considering the listing and photos and to get there after check in to find out my room wasn’t ready. When it was finally ready, it was under construction zone and remodeling which made for a lot of drilling and unsafe, tools, and furniture located in the hallways of the hotel. They had a room for me on the first floor (night 1) , but told me I had to move to the second floor for the remaining days of my trip. I had to tell staff to stop drilling in the evening to try and get rest and to be quiet. The Chef, who was a really nice gentleman apologized to me numerous times who was also running the front desk due to staff shortage. He mentioned they were in the process of remodeling it and rooms weren’t available as they were doing construction and taking things out and lots of sawing. There is two restaurants downstairs so you will hear music and people and the crowds so it can be loud at times. I showed The Chef the shower door, which did not close as the maintenance repair guys put the door on backwards so the shower door wouldn’t close while taking a shower making it a puddle of water once stepped out.

Just to be clear, I have stayed at the Maria Condesa 4X over the last couple of years. I liked it very much and the staff was very friendly. I was there in March and had an issue with the water. But they fixed it by end of the day. But last night there was NO water in the whole hotel. No toilet flushing, no hand washing and certainly no shower. I understand that CDMX has a water shortage, but I think it goes beyond that. The property is getting worn. Little things in the room were broken and not fixed. I hope they get their act together. The location IS fantastic, but I also like to take shower and have hot water. Not sure if I can give them another chance after this. And there was no apology or offer of any kind of credit. I had to spend the $$ for another hotel that night, so the room ended up more expensive. The reviews used to be very positive and I don't see that anymore.

The staff were lovely and we appreciated how spacious our room was as well as our private sauna. We used it every night! The biggest detractor was the loud music from the bar downstairs. The room was advertised as soundproof but we didn’t find that to be the case. That being said - I think we would stay here again - the neighbourhood cannot be beat!

The room was very quiet with double windows so we could open them if we wanted or close them and have a very quiet room. The in room heat pump worked well. Only complaint was that the upstairs deck was being renovated while we were there. But having breakfasts delivered to room made up for it-a real breakfast with eggs, tortillas and fruit. The king size bed was very comfortable.

I would stay again . Place was clean, friendly staff, good hot shower, bed was very comfy and pillows. Only negative needs to upgrade bath towels not a biggy I travel with my own but it might be a problem for others. For the price it was beyond my expectations great stay.

This hotel claims it’s a 4 star hotel. In all honesty it’s a 2 at most. The best thing about this place is the neighborhood it’s located in. The TV remote would not work, I had to keep getting up to turn on and off. Towels were so worn out that some of them had stains and tears. Practically no lighting because it was sooo dim and one of our overhead lights would not turn on. The product line for shampoo and conditionner advertised on the website was false, and you’re lucky if you find someone at the reception after 6/7 pm . Hit or miss. The breakfast was awful, I attached an image of the omelette that was burnt, orange juice was poured from a store bought box and the chef is also your server and your maintenance person… For the price, quality was SUBPAR. I would not recommend.

Desde el primer momento que nos dieron la habitación, un día jueves, reporté que el aire acondicionado no funcionaba. La chica de recepción del día viernes no tenia idea de este reporte, volvió a ¨hacer el reporte¨ el mismo día en la noche me notificaron que el día sábado en la mañana iría el técnico (mi ultima noche), para mi sorpresa cuando llegue el sábado el aire acondicionado estaba exactamente igual, seguía dañado. en conclusión todos los días que estuve allí "me dieron el avión" como se dice aquí. Pedí cambio de habitación desde el primer día por este inconveniente y tampoco lo gestionaron. Otro problema que tiene el edificio (supongo) es que el baño en las noches olía a cloaca horrible. muy mal olor insoportable. tenia que colocar todas las toallas húmedas tapando cualquier hueco del baño. Terrible. Lamentable pero a este hotel no volvería. Ubicación excelente, instalaciones aceptables (si te toca una hab. que todo funcione), colchon comodo, sabanas limpias.

Amé hospedarme aquí. La ubicación es muy buena en una calle super tranquila. La habitacion de excelente tamaño y la cama muy muy comoda. Great location in condesa; the breakfast is a little flavorless for Mexico, but it’s included so can’t complain too much. The beds are incredibly firm, and on wheels I think? They swayed a lot when a truck/bus would pass on the street outside. Overall decent hotel for the price.

Overall, the location was great, and the breakfast accommodation that was included with our stay was wonderful. We also had a sauna in our bedroom, that was really nice as well. The reason why we gave two stars was because the check-in was not that friendly…basically they gave us a piece of paper to read over asked if everything looked OK and then told us our room number. We were on the fourth floor and noticed that at times it was super loud above us and it was because the breakfast area was right above our room. The bed would also shake if people were walking above and below us. It was very odd… The showers were also VERY cold and the room was really hot. When we checked out we notified the front desk of these issues and it was brushed off.

El hotel tiene una decoración única. Sin embargo con mucha falta de mantenimiento. El piso que nos hospedaron empezaron a pintar por la tarde u provocando que el olor de pintura se metía a la habitación, el aire acondicionado en muy mal estado y la habitación al no dejar la puerta cerrada del baño se me te un olor intenso a drenaje. Salíamos y entrábamos de la habitación entre pintores, escaleras y más cosas. Nos manchamos la ropa de pintura. Creo que si corrigen estos detalles el hotel es muy bonito, la decoración y la ubicación excelente. Gracias

Kind of a mixed bag: -great location -great bed -great staff -terrible lighting in the room -across the street from an amazing cafe/wine bar called Malcriado -not a fan of having to throw used toilet paper in the trash instead of the toilet (expected better given the rating of the hotel) -room supplies were haphazard -those "anti-theft" coat hangers.... Really, this is a 3 star hotel, 3.5 at the most, not 4 star as listed

I loved the location. Double paned windows meant you could not hear the noise from outside. You could hear the hallway noise since the doors are not sealed well. Comfortable bed, good pillows, great water pressure although the bathroom can be smelly from the pipes. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was freshly made and a good start to the day. There are Nespresso machines in the room. We did have to ask to have a corkscrew and hairdryer brought to the room. Shampoo, body wash, and conditioner were all good quality.

The internet was slow. The coffee/tea machine in the room was worthless, pretty but unable to get water above 150 degrees. The breakfast itself, served in the upstairs by a very attentive chef was worth a stay. g

This property was really nice and the staff were very attentive. They were very strict on their check in times tho. They would not let us check in until the designated time, even tho people were checking out all morning. So just be prepared if you have an early flight!

When I come back to Mexico City, I will definitely stay at Maria Condesa again. First, the neighborhood is beautiful and safe, full of tree lined streets. It was lovely waking up to the sound of birds every morning. Second, the room was clean and comfortable—and having a gratis mini fridge with water and sodas and beer was a nice touch! Third, and most importantly, the staff was amazing. They ordered cars for me to get picked up and dropped off from the airport, and ordered a car to help me meet my 6:20 tour group. Everyone was kind and the service was excellent. The room was lovely too.

Location is superb - great neighbourhood, very walkable and lots of stores and restaurants. Brochures, info (e.g. WiFi instructions, breakfast details, etc.) would have helpful to have in room. Room was very nice and bathroom was large. A/C worked great when it was hot, and we were also able to open windows when it was cooler. A lot of attention to detail in the room (nice fabrics, pottery in the room.etc) Breakfast was great (choose your own,essentially) on the rooftop. Reception staff could have been more engaged and helpful, but restaurant staff very pleasant and fun.

hotel was really nice. Perfect location with a buzzing vibe. Lots of great cafes & restaurants and few metres or across the road, definetly top location in charming condesa. It felt very safe, lively & beautiful. Plenty of taxis to hail or get an Uber was super easy. Our room was perfect, great size for two people for 5 days, bathroom was spacious and it was quiet at night even with all the buzz around. The only thing was the ‘humidity’ in the room, we needed to always open a window or leave the aircon on, gets humid fast, but other than that it was great, either great service, friendly staff and great amenities. Bed was comfortable and staff left it nice and clean for us everyday. Highly recommend

Der stod de tilbød lufthavn transfer, men svarede på min besked, at det gør de ikke. Morgenmaden serveres på værelset pga. ombygning. Der er kun 1 stol på værelset, så man er tvunget til at sidde i sengen og spise. Generelt set meget lydt hotel, en del larm og meget tynde vægge! Personalet er søde og venlige. Men samlet set er lidt skuffende ophold.

Väldigt bekväm och mjuk säng, badrummet var fräscht och det gick fort att få varmvatten i duschen (vi vande oss vid att på andra hotell vänta 4-5 min innan man fick varmvatten). Trevlig personal och OTROLIGA pannkakor till frukosten!
