Great for what we needed - room was very comfortable, breakfast bar included was typical, coffee was very good. Staff was very helpful, no issues at all. The pool was small and didn't make it out there - only had two pool chairs so not much room. Only downside is the price - super expensive for this type of hotel but there weren't many other options.

It was nice but I wish breakfast times ran a little later because those who have kids it’s hard waking them up early just to eat. Also housekeeping should be daily not every other day. And the laundry should have more than 1set of washer/dryer.

Asked staff for towels never delivered to my room. Phone was broken and reported it broken never fixed. Had to go downstairs for all my needs. Went to the bar no one was on staff for 15 mins sat and waited. The pool was very foggy didn’t have towels.

We have stayed at this property 4 times. This last time, mid September 2023, was absolutely disgusting. The first thing was the hair stuck all over the shower walls and blood stains on the bedding. I kneeled on the floor and it left a big white mark on my knee. Then we noticed the mold all over the vent of the ac unit. We put in a request for house keeping to clean the mold off the ac unit and the hair off the shower walls. We were gone the entire day and came back to no change in the condition of the room. We went down to the front desk and they told us that it was done. My waited down there for 20 mins for someone to come clean it. We went out and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned it ourselves (video taken of this). We asked multiple times to speak with the manager but they weren’t available any of the time and we were given an email. The door to the pool was broken and the hot tub was broken. Horrible experience. Don’t stay here!

The rooms were nice, good quality for the price. The pool was shut down during my stay which was unfortunate, and the restaurant that allegedly existed downstairs (that I was counting on) had really inconsistent hours that didn’t line up with what I was told when making the reservation.

We liked the location of the property. The staff was very friendly, especially when we couldn't check in on time because the computer system was down. There was one major reason that we will never go back to the Hyatt Place in Vista, and that is, they do not provide an EV charging station. In this day an age with so many people driving electric cars, it is a must that hotels and motels provide at least 2 charging stations.

I was first checked in to a room with dark foot prints in the bathroom floor, hair in the bath tub, debris on the carpet, and a crumb of tissue paper on top of the tissue box. I showed the pictures to the front desk and they gave me another room on the same floor. The second room was also not very clean but slightly better than the first one. However, there was a huge pile of dust on the carpet in front of the fridge (looks like the ones dumped from a vacuum). I headed back to the front desk and showed them the pictures and told them I don't know how to choose. They gave me the 3rd room on another floor and finally we had a normal room. That took us 75min to check in and out, go up and down, and moving all the luggages with 2 young kids which led to a late dinner before our legoland day. I have never seen a dirty hotel room like these and I thought the hotel rooms are always inspected after cleaning. The front desk staff were shocked and embarrassed when I showed them the pictures. Will never stay at this hotel again and will be VERY hesitant any stay at Hyatt as well.

The service from the front desk was ok, definitely not outstanding. The breakfast was by far the worst I've ever had from any Hyatt I've ever stayed at...I put it at second worst from any hotel I've stayed at. Also, the turn down service on the rooms was a complete fail, even when I specifically went and asked for them to change sheets, replace towels, toilet paper, etc... We got back to the room after being gone all day, and there was simply 2 new towels sitting on the counter, and nothing else was done. The hotel also ran out of tissues while we were there, and they were down to their last few rolls of toilet paper too (luckily it was our last day, when they told us that news). This place needs a change in management!

Staff and front desk was very courteous, however the hotel is not in good condition, it seems very old and need serious upgrades. Sofas, rug, and chairs in the lobby and in dinning area are stained badly, bathrooms are not clean. Rooms are also in similar condition. Breakfast was below standard.

Walking into the room, the carpeted floor had some debris that the vacuum missed. We were tired from a four-hour drive, so we wanted to rest a little before heading out for dinner. When we were about to lie down, we saw a bed bug on the sheet. My daughter asked what it was, but I didn't tell her because she worries easily. I told the front desk, and they said they were sold out, so there were no rooms to change to. Not even a single apology.

The hotel was nice and fairly clean. However there was left hair on the floor and the carpet was wet. You have to request daily housekeeping and they take all day to clean the rooms. The staff was okay but didn’t go above or beyond in any way. Breakfast was decent but cold. There is not enough seating for the amount of people having breakfast.

The hotel rooms are showing wear and tear on some walls, doors, furniture. We had a couple of lamps that were broken, shampoo pumps were broken and when asked for replacement they never came. They offer free parking so that was nice. The free breakfast was the best part. They had a variety of breakfast foods, not just the usual fruit and bagels. I'm talking eggs, bacon, potatoes, french toast, make-your-own waffles, yogurts, bagels, english muffins, oatmeal and all the fixings. Otherwise I'm not sure I'd stay there again for the price. Rooms can use some upgrading or repairs.

I was not impressed with the room or the staff either. The wifi is almost nonexistent.. putting aside wifi I couldn't get enough bars to make a phone calls. Mention to the front desk and blank stare back at me. Face it we use cell phones I was traveling alone and need to let family know I arrived safely. Couldn't do that without having to go out to a dark parking lot where a group of young people were hanging out. Being a senior I was a bit concerned That was fine but the inconvenience of having to leave my room go down stairs just to make a phone call

I will likely book again given the proximity to where I need to go. The breakfast was great. I liked the cleanliness of the property, staff & modern appearance. The area seemed safe. I didn’t like the bed & I think everyone is sleeping on the side facing the door because of the noise from the window facing the main street. I didn’t sleep at all. It may not be bad for others. I was surprised because it’s a business park area and doesn’t seem to be a busy street late at night.

When we first walked in had to wait a while for a clerk to come to the front desk. We checked in, loaded our luggage up on a cart got into the room only to find out that it was 1 King & a sofa bed, when we booked 2 Q & a sofa bed for a family of 6. Went back to the desk to be informed that there were no queen rooms available....I was under the impression when you made a reservation, they reserved that room for you...crazy me. Also, why the clerk didn't tell us in the first place we weren't getting the room we booked is beyond me. He said they only had 1 available that was being kept for anyone booking on their website. SMH So, back up to the room we went to figure out our options, it was after 8 pm, we were tired from driving all day, and called hotels.com - We decided to make it work for the first night although a kiddo had to sleep on the floor, and Hotels.com moved us to another upgraded hotel for the second night at no additional charge to us. Also, when we were loading up in the morning, had parked against some plants in the parking lot and our car was covered in a line of ants...luckily they didn't find a way into our car but still. Had to brush off a ton and there were still some crawling around when we got back home to AZ a day later. Aside from that, the hotel was clean, in a safe area, breakfast was good. Probably wouldn't stay again though because who knows if we would even have a room for the night.

From the minute we arrived things went downhill. Computer system was down so had to wait to be checked in. Then when system was back up and I was told to wait in line and I would be next, some lady comes over who had just walked in and starts complaining and ultimately went before me. I guess if you complain you get preferential treatment. Hot tub went down on day we arrived and I hope you like sausage, stayed 4 days and each morning breakfast was sausage and eggs. Can’t a guy get bacon at least once! I will say that the housekeeping staff was friendly and staff cleaning breakfast area was friendly. Moreover, bed was comfortable but bathrooms need a fan to vent off steam, felt like I was in a sauna.

I'm a repeat guest, and breakfast has been the best since coming here. I have a handicap and finding appropriate parking was no issue.Room was well kept. The reception staff was very polite and friendly.I will probably be back soon in the new year.

We needed extra sheets for the pull-out couch and didn’t have any until I called 3 times the same thing with the TP we ran out and called numerous times but that one didn’t come. Good thing we had wipes from our 16-hour trip.

Nice area of town. I was unable to reach the front desk on 2 separate occasions, so had to physically go down to talk to someone. Only 1 person up front during my 8 pm check-in, as well as when i checked out the next morning. It seemed understaffed to me. Also, the tub was draining exceptionally slowly, so the dirty water was up to my ankles for the duration of my 10 minute shower. I will find a different place to stay the next time I'm down visiting family.

While a bit far away from the freeway, this meant that the hotel was quiet (no noise from roads, etc.) and tucked away. We enjoyed the amenities of the room (couch, generous desk, microwave, and mini-fridge) and appreciate the energy-saving aspect too. The hotel's breakfast buffet offered something for everyone and staff were courteous and helpful. Would stay again!

My hotel stay was excellent, and I will definitely be back! The hotel is located in a fairly industrial area, but is very close to grocery stores and restaurants and the location is very safe. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I really appreciated that parking was free and plentiful! I didn’t eat breakfast there or use any of the amenities, but the room was great and the property was clean.

Amazing hotel! We loved the breakfast, the clean rooms, the basic but fun pool area, the quietness and safe area plus the friendly staff and comfy beds. It’s a close drive to quite a few restaurants, both chain and local that are worth your time to visit. There is (at the time of writing 8/2023) a Wendy’s and Dutch bros being built right next door so that will make it really nice and convenient! It’s close to Legoland, the beach, sea world, and the San Diego zoo. So there is lots of fun attractions nearby. We loved our stay here. We were sad to leave and sad our vacation had ended. Recommend anyone looking to stay here and if we’re ever in the area we’ll be back!

My wife and I have frequently stay at a Hyatt hotel in San Jose which offer a buffet style breakfast, which is good and if staying multiple days, they alternate the menu. This Vista-Carlsbad location had the same egg bites and sausage for the 3 days we stayed there and had watered down orange juice all 3 days as well. On top of the horrible breakfast items, the staff was not very friendly, and the room cleanliness was just so so. There was left over garbage in our room when we checked in. Will definitely not stay at this location again.

Rooms were dated, first room received a lot of street noise. Lobby bar offered little beyond basics. Morning breakfast was one step above Motel Six. Considering the room price and the Hyatt name, I expected more. We were supposed to stay four nights, dropped it down to two. At check-out, I could not find the luggage cart, believe that there was only one cart for the untire hotel.

Loved the continental breakfast! Room needed better cleaning. Outside buttons for the elevators need to be fixed. Front desk should have access(keys) and ability to turn on the fire tables outside. We wanted to hang out by the fire tables around 9p but got turned down because front desk had no keys. Everything else was very good! Over all we enjoyed our stay!

The rooms were nice, good quality for the price. The pool was shut down during my stay which was unfortunate, and the restaurant that allegedly existed downstairs (that I was counting on) had really inconsistent hours that didn’t line up with what I was told when making the reservation.

The hotel itself was a bit dated. Had to continuously run the AC to keep my room satisfactory. The front desk person was excellent and made my stay. The staff were courteous and that helped. The hotel itself was a bit musty. The carpeting had a mildew odor and the cleanliness of the room was questionable. Wasn’t the best but wasn’t my worst stay at a hotel. Thank you to the staff.

This feels like a secret getaway. It's quiet and the staff is extremely nice. The Wendy's and Dutch Bros right next door are super convenient. The down side of my stay was the air conditioning in the hotel itself. The first night it was set to 76! The second night there was a minor improvement to 72 degrees.
