Very clean rooms. Excellent full breakfast. Nice bar area. Secluded pool and jacuzzi. Pool was a little small but still great. Free delicious keurig coffee in lobby. Close to shopping. A few minutes drive to beach.

Excellent service and friendly staff. I was worried about arriving late but the evening manager was readily available and extremely helpful. The free breakfast buffet is top notch and although the swimming pool is tiny, there is a pool and a very relaxing hot tub. The fitness center was a little too crowded for me but the hotel is located in a perfect area for long beautiful, peaceful walks or jogs has it surrounded mostly by corporate buildings and lots of beautiful big trees. The dining options nearby are mostly fast food, but within a short drive are plenty of restaurants. The hotel itself is extremely well kept and the staff keeps it very clean. Plenty of parking. Hope to return! 😁

I stayed at the Ayres Hotel Vista/Carlsbad last weekend and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The room was spotless, and I truly appreciated the attention to cleanliness. One of the highlights was the amazing breakfast options—a perfect way to start the day! The free parking was also a huge plus, making the stay even more convenient. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to everyone I know and will definitely be returning in the future!

Nice little hotel 10 to 15 minutes away from legoland. Hotel is very modern and the customer service is top notch. The room was very comfortable and very spacious. Only problem we had was there were a few small strands of hair, maybe five or less, that were left on the bathroom counter that housekeeping kind of missed, but it wasn’t disgusting or gross enough for us to make a big deal (the rest of the bathroom, along with the room was clean). Also, the room was a little bit loud, but that was because we were next to an exit door that was used a lot. But other than that, I decided to put 5 stars because the customer service was so great and the included breakfast was outstanding.

The shower tub was extremely dirty, with visible hair, dirt, and buildup, making it unusable. Despite hotel management sending a repair crew, the tub continued to clog, and we were unable to shower during our stay. When we reported the issue and requested a discount for the inconvenience, management said they would look into it. However, we were later informed that since the issue was considered “resolved,” no compensation would be offered, despite the fact that we were unable to use the shower throughout our stay. It cost nothing to give us a discount, and we would’ve returned due to their willingness to amend what is standard for any stay. Beware this place if you go— and if you do, I hope you have a working shower, free from filth.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Iris Hotel. The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. Communication was smooth, and everything met our expectations. We would recommend this hotel and might choose to stay here again on our next trip to San Diego. The only issue was that the bathroom could have been cleaner, as we found some hair in the tub, when we arrived. Other than that, everything was great, and we loved it!

Lots of shops nearby. The room was clean and large. Complimentary hot breakfast available daily. The only thing that could have made the stay even better would be if the tvs had streaming capabilities. Everything else was great.

I stay here regularly, staff is amazing (shout out to Alphonse, David & Joy) they have handled numerous special requests - even wine recommendations! They always make me feel welcome. Hotel is newer, sparkling and has every amenity I've ever needed.

Fantastic friendly staff. Great service from the front desk to the breakfast staff to housekeepers. Clean, modern, comfortable room. Great breakfast, including custom-cooked omelets, make-your-own waffles, and fantastic, friendly and helpful staff. Lots of parking with plentiful handicap spaces and electric car recharging spaces.

Charged us an extra 30 dollars for an hour early check in, bar and food said open til 11, guy stopped serving food at 10 and closed everything by 1030, called for extra pillows was told to go downstairs and ask so we did and front desk guy was rude and rolled his eyes, breakfast was good and had great selection

I spoke with Carl (I think that was his name), the general manager, before our trip as I was concerned about pet allergies. He was very helpful and made sure that we would be in a room that had never had animals stay in it. It was so amazing not to have to worry about that, and we had no issues with allergies during our stay. Alfonso and Isaiah were the night crew and they were both amazing! They asked how our day out was, gave us suggestions for food and told us what was nearby to meet our needs. They were both just very personable and helpful, we enjoyed all our interactions with them throughout our stay. Just wonderful customer service all around. Sean was who checked us out at the end of our stay, and he was great too. We were just very impressed with your staff, such a great bunch of people. We decided this would be our hotel for all our future visits to California. We look forward to our next stay with the entire family. Thank you, we are very satisfied with the great customer service you provided us.

Very nice, attractive and clean hotel. Generally good hotel, although it lacks walkability. But just a 5-10 minute drive to get to restaurants, stores, and 12 minutes to downtown Carlsbad. We loved the free parking. The free breakfast was nice, although we had read that the omelettes were world-beating, but in reality they were only average. The breakfast was crowded and seating space lacking, so it was a struggle to find a table. We did enjoy the pizzas, salad and drinks in the evening at the kitchen. Our room was nice, good amount of space and modern and clean. Unfortunately, there was a family in the room above us with kids who seemed to be jumping on the floor constantly! Overall, the Ayres Vista was good but not great.

This property is clean, modern, and with a nice staff! The parking availability is good and in a safe location of N County SD. I grew up in Carlsbad and very familiar with commuting...it's a great balance price, access to the coast, access to both main N-S freeways, and attractions. Thank you

Book rooms here for the family instead of driving back to Orange County after a wedding. Nice room with comfortable bedding, great breakfast, and an easy drive home the following morning. A plus is their checkout is 12 noon if you need it.

Everything was great except we never got to enjoy the omelettes as the line was always long and the chef appeared aggravated. We had to dine in the lobby every morning. Not enough space or staff for a holiday week I guess. Otherwise it was fantastic. Great room and the rest of the staff was amazing. Love the water and coffee station in the lobby.
