Lothersdale Hotel Morecambe by Belvilla

Great seafront location and very comfortable bed. Receptionist was wonderfully helpful, and evening meals were good with attentive staff; more so than at breakfast. Parking was confusing, shower door faulty, website outdated, and some small breakfast and room issues (missing condiments, exposed bulb).

Comfortable room, clean . Easy access to lift. Shower could do with hand rail. Housekeeping good. Good outside high terrace seating area and dining room.

The hotel is inconspicuous on a dreary day but has double doors from the bar to the street so would be lovely on a summers day. The rooms are spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was fitted with a lovely modern shower and the vista was straight out to the Bay (which was sadly freak and dreary). One lady (Margaret) was amazing. She checked me in and made sure I was happy with everything. Then after I went to my room I went to the bar and was being served pints by Margaret again. £4.50 per pint for Wainwrights was nice to see (a hotel that doesn’t take your eyes Breakfast was good although staff didn’t seem so committed. Wifi was adequate for what I needed it for. I didn’t use the hotel parking because it was free to park in the loading bays (and legal) until 09:00hrs! The only drawback was I was going to Lancaster University the next day and although Google maps said 19mins (at 7.20pm in the evening) the reality in the morning was nearly 1 hour ….. so not ideal if you have to be somewhere in rush hour and need to go through Lancaster!! That said, I would have no issue staying here again.

Fixing the lift would be a help

The room was lovely and comfy twin beds. A shower would’ve liked a bath back facing so there wasn’t any view but there was a fantastic bistro bar with balcony very friendly staff great views of Morecambe Bay. We had a breakfast there was full choice.

Not great, room was tired, 504, screw head hanging out of lightswitch, scorch mark on ceiling light, carpet edges by skirting boards not hoovered , noisy with road noise, silicone needed around sink, I'll fitted wardrobe. Just tired !! But I managed. Staff nice, breakfast ok, evening meal nice but expensive. Parking a right chuff on. Not sure I would stay here again. To(restaurant area lovely)

A pleasant, clean and comfortable sea front hotel with friendly and efficient staff. The room was clean and bed very comfortable with the makings of tea and coffee well stocked. The compact shower WC en suite was very clean with good quality towels provided. The hotel bar/restaurant has a good menu and comfortable environment with a great view of Morecambe bay. Very limited parking at the rear of the hotel but unrestricted parking in front between 6pm and 9am overnight with a public pay and display carpark beside the RNLI building opposite.

Bathroom was not as clean as expected, a few areas of grunge, especially around plug holes. Wifi very intermittent.

It was nice hotel but had hair in the toilet but the staff cleaned it n and she said she would sort something out but we never even get anything 4 our trouble

I would not recommend this hotel. The room did not look like the room I was booking on the website. We were welcomed into the room with a lovely odour of grease, and the smell of an old folks home! The room was very small, you could barely swing a cat around in it! The bed was certainly not a double bed. I’d class it as a large single. Having a TV in the room was pointless as there were no channels on them! The room wasn’t the cleanest, and to top it off, the room was that hot, I felt like I was literally going to melt! I brought an ice cold bottle of water with me into the hotel and by the morning the water had turned lukewarm! We couldn’t actually wait for morning to arrive so we could go home! I’d of had a better nights sleep on a washing line! I don’t know how this hotel is actually still in business!

Travelodge is better than this hotel! Room.was shabby and not clean, bathroom was tiny!! Wires everywhere for £82 a night terrible

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Bistro was festive and service was efficient. Overall cleanliness was good.

I could hear the other customers snoring which made thenights sleep very disturbed.

We've stayed here a few times when visiting Morecambe. The hotel is well situated, the staff are great, and it's all pretty clean and well maintained. The main drawback is that the rooms are small, and we've stayed in a few different ones, this trip being the most cramped. The staff are lovely, the restaurant is better than you might expect, and everyone is chatty. If you're travellng light or solo for a couple of nights it's OK, but if you've got luggage, and aren't that slim, you may have some issues.

Hoping this is refunded ASAP .I understand a swipe in case of damage etc , but they should definitely not have taken a debit from it without my authority. BLACK MARK FOR THIS. A suggestion would be to provide disposable shower/bath sponges. Also bedroom walls are very thin meaning enforced listening to next room's conversation. Otherwise ok.

Late night check-in and stopover after getting off the Isle of Man ferry at midnight. The only place with 24 hour check in without going to Lancaster, 2nd time staying, got a newly renovated room, very comfy bed and a great breakfast the next morning. Will 100% use this hotel again if in Morecambe

I only stayed for one night midweek. Everything was fine,I didnt have any meals in the hotel restaurant so cant comment. The room was small but tidy. Directly opposite from the hotel is morecambe bay, which is beautiful. The hotel is situated at the end of the prom.

Couldn't get in the rear as I structured. The front door was faulty and injured my foot. This was already reported earlier that day. Couldn't get a correct invoice on checkout. Promised a managers call to resolve this, didn't happen. Staff do not care at all. I stay in over 200 rooms per year on business and won't be back here. I have asked for a copy of the accident report required by law, the response was only if I can see your medical records. Corrupt and rude staff,

Really good stay, staff are always really helpful, room clean and comfortable. Sometimes the wifi can drop but it's manageble with working. Rooms nearby were quiet noisy this time, I've stayed before and never heard anyone, all was quiet by midnight and a good nights sleep. Overall recommend, lovely location and great value, thank you team

I will be writing a formal complaint about the staff and the charges they are saying i will be getting, made instant judgement against me and my partner and made accusations that he cannot proove as they weren't true and also saying he could see things in our room from where he was standing which was impossible from where he was stood. It was diabolical the customer service given!!! I knocked the smoke alarm when getting photos and it fell out the ceiling, it wasnt screwed in properly so couldnt have been screwed in properly, this could of caused injury if it had fell during the night!!!

Stay was very good very nice well placed hotel, food in the restaurant was excellent , staff very friendly, reception informative and very helpful and friendly.Hotel a bit dated but very good stay thanks very much 😁👍

Nice stay, lovely spot right on the beach!

Comfortable 3 bedroom lodge with a sea view around the corner. Well equipped with terrace and parking space. I recommend that place.

Single room was ok, lovely sized bathroom. Struggled with the two pillows, too puffy and struggled with the single quilt, not a lot of quilt to be cosy. Breakfast was good, limited choice. Staff friendly. Hotel was clean. Lovely sea view from my window.
