Nice hotel in a good location. Rooms required a little attention.... (TV didnt work, Safe in room required a battery and a broken window in the room) 11 am check out, later check out for a fee only.

For what it is, it's a good hotel, in a good location. The complimentary tea and coffee in reception was appreciated and the reception staff were helpful. The rooms are perfectly adequate as are the on suits shower rooms, but not overly spacious (if in a double, expect one of you to have to climb out of bed from the bottom). Clearly some elements are in needs of a bit of TLC and there is no sound proofing, but given the age of the building, that can be forgiven and wasn't really an issue. There is a bar literally next door that does a great breakfast and a bakery across the canal which is open earlier for coffee and pastries, they also do great sandwiches. The area itself is relatively quiet but still has plenty of shops and restaurants and everything is within reasonable walking distance. Would we stay there again? yes.

Was ideal for a last minute booking, staff went above and beyond to help. The hotel itself isn't the cleanest but for what you pay it was fine. The bed is actually very comfy considering how thin the mattress is. The tv doesn't work but wifi at hotel is good, unless in basement. Free hot drinks in lobby as no kettle in room. But this wasn't an issue. Would stay again.

When we arrived (late at night) we found that the bedside lights weren't working, and the safe deposit box was closed. Although we mentioned this to the staff first thing the next day, nothing was done. We were told that the owner/manager looked after a number of hotels, which seemed a poor excuse. Surely the hotel could keep some spare light bulbs on the premises? Also, although the illustrative photographs for our room selection show a kettle and mugs in the room, there weren't any. Finally, when we arrived we found that the toilet hadn't been properly cleaned. After that cleaning was fine.

The TV was broken, the safe wouldn’t open and then, after somebody came to open it, didn’t close. Wifi was a joke. The drainage in the shower had no “lid” or coverage. We didn’t get another room or a discount.

The room is small but the view was excellent. Tram stop close to to Hotel and restraunts close as well. Staff were friendly and they have free coffe in the lounge.

This property needs a serious update. The room and bathroom was disgusting. Filled with holes in the wall and mold covering the ceiling.

Upon arriving, we received our room without difficulty. It was located in a basement level below the surface of the roads with no windows except for a dirty skylight. The room was musty and had mold growing on the ceiling of the bathroom. The walls were dirty with streaks of various substances and hairs. There were also several various insects that decided to also stay the night. Our travel plans were cut short and we were only able to stay one night in Amsterdam, but I am glad it was only one.

Room 203 had a lot of black mold. We will be submitting a complaint with hotel management.

The bedsheets were absolutely disgusting, stained pillows and an old mattress topper that you could feel the scrunching of the old mattress through, the walls were stained and the air conditioning was broken, leaving the room stiflingly hot. There was no remote for the television, and when asked for one we were told someone would bring it up, and they never did. On top of this the shower water got so hot it set off the fire alarm. Twice.

Not very cozy, and unfortunately not very clean. Visible surfaces where cleaned off well enough, but under the bed, under the night stand, and in the corners there was dust and dirt. The bathroom was quite cold, and didn't have its own heater. There where several small flies in the bedroom and bathroom. Ok for someone who only wants a place to sleep, but if you want to spend some time in the room, this is not the right place.

This hotel was in a great location. The room is very small. You sit on the toilet and your legs are practically in the shower. I am downgrading a star for cleanliness. There was a brown stain on my sheets when I arrived.

Disgusting! Our room had mold in the corners and the walls were covered with dust and all sorts of nasty spots! The duvet was also covered in nasty spots, with some looking like blood. Looking under the bed was not a pleasant experience either. This hotel needs to make a thorough deep cleaning of the rooms before allowing guests in again! Our air condition broke which we made the front desk aware of. Even though the hotel had maintenance come by, they didn't bother to make sure that the issue was fixed in our room, which it wasn't... Besides all of this, towels were changed every day and sheets were clean. The location was great.

Was close of the center.... Room had no windows, even for in case of emergency. Room is very very small. Bathroom looks like a RV bathroom, mold everywhere, heat doesn't stay...

Where do I start… we arrived on the 26th to greeted by reception and handed out room key, the room was below ground level with a tiny double rectangular window situated beside the seating arrangement of next doors bar where if you manage to open the window it leaves the customers looking down right into your room. The aircon was cut off to the room on the second night and the Tv didn’t work at all, total black screen. Almost as if it’s a fake television as the red light was present at all times indicating stand by. We were told they were down everywhere in hotel but as I went onto read reviews this has been an ongoing issue for weeks now! After our first night sleep both me and my partner woke up covered in bites which our GP back home now has confirmed as bed bugs, there’s no surprise here as on the last night I thought to look under the bed and it was like a vending machine of half eaten chocolate bars and sweats. The room comes with zero appliances other than 2 coat hangers and a railing. The shower room is connected to the bedroom and was in the format of a wet room with no shower screen/curtain therefore after every use the entire room was swimming with water, this resulted in us having to use all our towels to dry the place up with every use, stay clear of this hotel! It is not as described nor advertised, this is me and my partners 5th time visiting Amsterdam and every hotel we’ve stayed in has been of a similar description/price range/location & image it’s poorly run!

The room was clean n tidy. The room had an window which we did not prefer to open as it had no view n was mostly blocked by other building. Didn't felt the need to open the window as the AC was functional and adequate. Great location. The room was very tiny which is expected in amsterdam for this price however the pics uploaded were misleading. The uploaded pics gives an impression of the room to be bigger. Cleverly all the pics displayed the items within the room but not the room size. Had i known the room size, would have spent a bit more to get a better room.

Small room. Very central location. Quiet neighbourhood. Excellent staff. Perfect for a nights stay.

Showers had no door or water barrier so whenever you used it water got all over the bathroom floor and spilled out into the room. This happened in 2 different rooms. Used all towels to absorb water on floor. TV in room didn’t work either.

Location was excellent, room was small, but decent. Our 'city view' was into a filthy courtyard, so really, no view. Bed was comfortable, and staff was nice. For the price, I'd say it was good value. I'd stay here again for sure.

O quarto tem paredes sujas. A televisão não funciona. O banheiro não tem box (tem apenas uma pequena proteção de vidro) e ao tomar banho o banheiro fica todo molhado. O quarto é pequeno demais e não tem lugar para colocar as malas. A arquiteta do teto tem uma inclinação (que dever ser uma escada superior) de modo que ao se levantar sem cuidado é possível bater a cabeça. A impressão que se tem é que o hotel está ficando abandonado, sem manutenção, o que é uma pena.

The bathroom was modern and well functioning. The Television did not work and when asked reception they were not accomodating to fix the issue. Great location with Tram line directly outside the hotel.

The location was great, but the AC Unit did not work for more than 15 min at a time, for the whole week...frustrating

Very dark and dingy small room, shower built poorly so water pours into the room, tv didn’t work. The air con was great, the service okay and the area amazing!

My booking was lost- however they were able to find me a room and refund what I had paid- the young man at reception was trying so hard to help fix the problem and continued to be helpful in so many ways as I found more Accommodation- thank you

Be aware when booking this hotel, although you make it clear you don’t want to be disturbed and the room is occupied they still come in and do the service. Having said that I was robbed $350 out of my luggage while I was gone, hotel does not take responsibility for there employees actions.

The staff here are brillisnt ive stayed many times and going back next week

Upon arrival, we were welcomed at the desk and staff appeared helpful with no concerns. However, upon entering the room - there were marks all over the walls, a strong smell of damp and damp markings on one wall. The TV did not work without the remote, which was not in the room either. We were woken intermittently during the first night, by a neighbouring room and slamming doors. We were also locked out of our room due to batteries running out on the automated card door lock mechanism, whilst the desk clerk was replacing this downstairs, I was confronted by a male customer as he was entering the room next door. It became apparent that the lone female in the room next to ours was a sex worker working from this hotel. Once this was reported to the desk clerk, whilst he attempted to be helpful - it was only heard to the extent that they would 'speak to the individual' to ensure she had no 'visitors' that night, and we were refused a different room or upgrade as an alternative. Whilst the staff were not rude, the response was awful and we would definately not recommend staying with them unfortunately.

Rude staff.mould in patches off the room would definitely would not say this is a 3 star.

Take a basic hotel but with lovely staff and in a brilliant location. Highly recommend.

Staf were lovely and friendly and the room was cleaned daily if you needed it. A great stay and very convenient location.

I only took one star off because my room was on the ground floor next to a cafe and it could get noisy. But another room wouldn’t have that issue. The tram was right outside making it easy to get around- though most places were easily walkable. Hope to visit again soon!

We arrived and the air con was not working at all , we had no choice but to stay , it was litterly like sleeping in a hot tub laid in bed I was I’ll after the stay and had to go to hospital, The sink had broken and had flooded all our room , absolutely awful , broke our electronics . Will definitely not be staying here again ever! The staff didn’t want to help . The lift never worked so had us walking up massive amounts of stairs to the room . The card kept failing too . Also we had stuff taken from our room , we bought presents from the icebar in amsterdam and they won’t missing never found them . Please dont stay here save yourself the disappointment.

Perfect situation in the center of Amsterdam , clean and super quiet ! I recommend !

Great value for the area you're 30min walk from centraal station. Everything else is walkable and it's quiet considering everything around. Friendly staff too. Made our beds each day. Room was clean. There was heat and AC. We stayed 2 nights.

This hotel is a wonderful for a mini city break. It is perfect for those who just need a hotel to sleep. They are nearby the city centre which is Dam square. We found a shortcut that gets you there in 9-10 mins. Whenever you get lost, somehow the hotel is always nearby in our case. The staff were lovely, the bed was comfortable. The location was fab and there was a lovely bakery and a coffee bar next to the hotel. To grab quick breakfast and then start your day. There is a lift. Rooms are small but this is what we knew before we booked and didn’t mind as it is a 3 star. But for a 3 star, it is actually worth it and really comfortable. It wasn’t as loud as I expected. Only outside as we were on the residential side. But it was really good hotel! Everywhere is nearby and there is a tram literally outside the hotel. So if you weren’t able to walk or had kids you can easily hop on and hop off. Just beware of those bicycles. The hotel faces the canal, such a lovely view.

I would definitely stay here again. Great location and a reasonable price. The staff was friendly and helpful. L'hotel n'est pas luxueux mais assez confortable, propre avec tous les équipements nécessaires. L'accueil est aimable et professionnel. Il manque la possibilité de prendre un petit déjeuner. L'hotel est très bien placé, le long d'un canal en plein centre ville proche de tous les lieux de visite. Je recommande.

The hotel was comfortable in a good location. A small rooms definitely small rbut it's cozy. Staff were very friendly and helpful and a lovely cafe right next to the hotel! We would visit again. Anna the receptionist was very friendly.
