This was my second stay at this property. They have renovated the rooms nicely since my last visit. My room was very clean. For the budget traveler this is a reasonable choice for an overnight stay. Pros: Easy access to shopping and dining. Close to Hwy 17. Friendly. Drive-up parking. Cons: Wifi did not work well. A bit noisy. Slight dank smell in room.

So I stayed at the Satellite Motel for 2 nights for a wedding. The best part is that you can park right in front of your room to ensure your car is safe. The room was clean and comfortable and the service was excellent. I ended up with a bloody nose because of a sinus infection and the staff was understanding and kind. I would recommend this motel to stay at if you are just driving thru town and need a clean and comfortable place to stay. Everyone was kind and helpful. It’s good to be able to keep an eye on your vehicle and your room door opens to the outside so you can keep an eye on your stuff. It’s a great place to stay for the night if you are passing thru town. I would use this motel again. It’s also reasonably priced. Enjoy your stay.

The only positive about this property was that we could bring our pets. The property was filled with unsavory characters and felt unsafe. There was indoor upholstered furniture soaking in the rain on the outdoor seating areas and futon soaking in the rain by the front office. There were leaves everywhere that kept blowing in the door to our room. We couldn't get the leaves out because there was a lip at the entryway. The room was musty. The bathroom fan didn't work and you could see a patch job on the drywall which was probably from mold. There was no screen on the window. The sheets were all stained and thin. There was no mattress cover so you could see the mattress through the sheet. The pillows were all feather and smelled like food. The box springs were also stained and dinged up. The roof is worn. There was a gutter coming off the roof shooting rain onto a parked customer car. I paid $300 for 2 nights of horror.

Very nice staff during check in Pet friendly - property was in a good location for traveling with our dogs. I was able to safely get them outside for relief and walks using the back/side exit on the street behind the motel without being concerned with the high traffic Main Street out front.

I had to ask for another room as the one offered was dirty and smelled bad. The second room looked better but needed a good clean. I had some cleaning supplies with me and cleaned it. The management said they were doing some renovations and things would be improving. The area is good, very central and the parking and outdoor eating area were good. It’s a motel with lots of potential.

You get what you pay for. New renovations are terribly done. No ice. Entrance to room was full of snow. Nobody at front desk, had to call 3 different number to get a hold of someone. Bed was comfy. There was a microwave and fridge in room which was convenient.

There was mold in the bathroom, the vanity was broken, the sheets on one of the beds were dirty and stained, the cover on one bed had a cigarette burn and the bathtub was awful. It was the best price I could find and it was convenient to the highway and Walmart, although downtown was a bit far.

The room was so dirty. Mold in the bathroom, vanity falling apart, no remote for tv, super hard bed. The rooms look nothing like the pictures at all. Had to change rooms because of the fridge in the room sounding like a freight train every time it ran. Second room on the second night had a bit of a better bed, but the bathroom was dirty and not clean. Tub had black mold around it, and vanity was falling apart. Very very disappointed with our stay. This place used to be so cozy and comfortable. Not anymore.

There was a vomit on pilow, the beds are old and uncomfortable, the sheet covering the box spring is dirty like a trace of urine or dirty water thats dried. I was trying to get over my emagination by being on my phone but cant relax until I finally walked out at 2 am. I turned on the air-conditioner but the air coming from it is musty. I don't mine the structure but hey cleanliness is the priority for a cheap hotel.

Our 1st room was dirty and the beds sheets as well. Full of pubic hair, stains and found a spec of what seemed like a blood stain. We were transferred to a room that looked slightly better but had an odour and the bed sheets were unclean and had hair and pubic hair all throughout. I slept on the top layer. One of the drawers had young females clothing in it. We didn't have where to store our clothes because we didn't feel comfortable. The mini fridge was bot working properly as it froze out sandwiches and drinks. The only good thing I have to say is the man working the front names “Honey” was nice. We wont be coming here again and dont recommend it.

This place is incredibly run down. The mattresses are very old and practically just springs, the walls are dirty, the furniture is unsteady/falling apart, and it smells of years of cigarette smoke. Worked as a cheap place out of necessity (everywhere else was sold out or exorbitantly high) but felt gross. There was dirt and hair in the sheets (slept fully clothed wrapped in own blanket that is getting deep cleaned), mold in the bathroom, and a layer of grime. The door looked like it had been kicked in a few times before and did not latch well. And the microwave was both moldy and rusted. Definitely not worth the over $100 charged per night. I would honestly only pay $40 a night for a place so dismal and even then only if nothing else can be gotten.

The room was dirty and smelled of damp, made worse by taking a shower as there was no fan. The sheets had multiple stains along with the pillows. Cigarette burns on the comforter as well. Piss was stained on the outside of toilet bowl. Towels were stiff and stained as well. The room smelled of mold. Do not stay here.

Aside from squeaky beds and paper-thin walls where we could hear people puking their guts our before 10PM with others screaming and arguing on either side of us, there was a very gross shower curtain with mould going 1/3 up from the bottom. When I did shower the water never warmed up. The floors were ice cold despite being 18 degrees celsius outside. The air conditioner sounded like a diesel bus right next to our heads which we put on only to drown out the noise.

Stayed in winter and entrance, walkways not shoveled. Cold room so I tried adjusting controls on wall but broken then saw a small space heater on floor (don’t think this is a legal or safe option). Unbelievably dirty and unkept.

The door only locked with knob, deadbolt didnt work. Door is warped and didnt close well. Lots of trash outside the rooms. Side of AC in window has open access to outside, which drafted cold air all night.

The room was a bit dirty. Definitely not hotel clean. There was no one innthe office when i wanted to check in. I called the phone number thrice and dialed 0, no one answeered either. I saw a staff coming out of the room and told him i wwnt to check in.

While the hotel was dated, that wasn’t an issue for us because we were just looking for a place to sleep. We weren’t there long during the day the staff was very helpful and fixed an issue. We were having in a very satisfactory method. They went out of there way to make sure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. If we were ever to be in the area again, I would definitely stay there.

Room that was booked was not ready...toilet backed up un rentable...given another room wich was dirty,filthy,no toiletries,Tv not working,no heat,just a cube heater.linnen was stained and dirty,towels were stained and dirty....no pride in there establishment.

I made a reservation at 11pm with eta 1130pm, hotel info says reception there til midnight. I tried calling 3 times to confirm eta time there with NO ANSWER! Room was dirty, floor dirty, apple core on floor beside bed, bedspreads had cigarette burn in it and a couple rips/holes, only had 2 shower towels no facecloths.... reception said opens at 9am, i went to ask them something after 9 and the Open sign was lit up, but the door was still locked and NO ONE ANSWERED AGAIN. I went 2 separate times between 910 and 940. NO ANSWER!

Basically what you would expect for this type of motel: low end but not seedy. The TV in my room didn't work and the wifi cut out sometimes. The room was also dusty and the lighting could have been better. Otherwise, the stay was quiet and the guy who runs the place is nice. He doesn't always have someone at the desk though -at night you have to call him and he drives over (took about 4 minutes in my case). The place is conveniently located & there's places to eat within walking distance.
