Friendly staff! No elevator so be prepared to carry luggage, although they offer help. Enjoyed the 3 o’clock scones and tea! I would stay here again!

Converted early 1900 schoolhouse. Very spacious quiet room. Lots of period antiques throughout. No elevator but they gladly helped carry luggage. Served Scones in the afternoon Restaurant right across the parking lot and 3 blocks from quaint downtown

What an excellent place! Complimentary coffee & tea in the Lobby at all times; comfortable & quiet accommodations; and the staff were superb.

If you like quaint, historical places this is for you! Loved this place. Lots of civil war history pictures throughout. Room was awesome. The only drawback was no elevators. Has on-site eating and a pub plus another eatery across the parking lot. Met the owners- very nice people!

Great location for a walk downtown or easy access with plenty of parking. Pub has great food.

The hotel has an impressive interior , a history vibe surrounds you . The only bad thing is that there is no elevator and no aquatics .

Great hotel in a historic building that was nicely renovated. Clean, comfortable room, friendly service and the bar downstairs was fun! Very convenient location to walk everywhere, we would stay again!

The Inn was absolutely charming, with lots of history on display. The room was large, very clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Maggie was awesome and Mike, the bartender, was the best! Highly recommend. We will be back.

Per other reviews the room was very clean, beds were comfortable, room was very spacious. Staff was very courteous. But I can’t give this place 5 stars. There is no central lobby of any size to enjoy the ambiance, the road noise was surprisingly evident, the TV system was a couple of generations behind and there was a dehumidifier present in the room. Five stars means “close to perfect” for me and the Federal wasn’t quite there.

Excellant place to stay! Quiet, quaint and walking distance to town. Lots of great restaurants close by. Room was large and comfortable. Only drawback was lack of good lighting in bathroom for makeup and a bit dusty in un- observed places like bed rails and fire emergency light.

The room was very lovely. Comfortable and very clean, with a great bathroom, towels etc. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

This is a beautiful property with lovely large rooms that have a great large walk in shower with plenty of hot water & some very nice toiletries. It is within walking distance of many restaurants & shops & a short drive to all the historical sights. We were checked in by a lovely young lady. It was about 90 degrees that day & when we went to our room it was like an oven. The a/c was not working properly & she very quickly moved us to another room. I really would like to score this hotel 10/10 but unfortunately the first night we stayed we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant & it was terrible. Our server was a young man who was obviously new. He was quite nervous but was absolutely lovely. He asked some other members of staff a few questions & they were frankly quite rude to him. The restaurant did not appear to be that busy. We ordered our food & waited over an hour for it to arrive & when it did my husband sent his straight back - the pork was undercooked & some of the veg was burnt. My meal was not much better but I did manage to eat most of it. The guy we assumed was the manager was running around like a headless chicken. He didn't seem to know what food was for which table. If they were too busy for the amount of staff they had they should have told us that & we would have happily ate elsewhere. Our young server was completely lovely & kept apologizing. We told him it was not his fault & when we left a tip we made sure he was getting it & not the chef.

Poor mattress, noisy street

We’re regulars to Gettysburg. Have stayed all around town. Saw this place and decided, although pricier than others, we’d give it a shot. Hotel is located in a nice area, parking easy, clean inside and staff was friendly. Hotel is an old school so it’s got some cool old elements to it. My issue with the hotel was the excessive heat in our room. Apparently the heat is now fixed to permanent ‘On’…so if you have the fan running on the thermostat…only option is heat. When we entered the room initially, it was every bit of 80 degrees. We thought we had turned the heat down..and anticipated the room would cool off after we returned from dinner. Upon return, the heat was worse. Called the front desk and was told to just turn the fan off, room would cool off eventually and there was nothing she could do. With no sir moving, the room never cooled off. Luckily, we were able to open a window but then had to listen to street traffic and have the street light coming in through the window. By 7am…room was still too warm and we had a miserable night, with little sleep. When we checked out, lady at desk apologized for our issue but made no effort to make the situation right. I looked at other reviews i of the hotel…and found one other talking about an overly hot room…so it’s an issue. If you’re cold-natured and have your home thermostat set to 85, this place is for you. For the price, I’d expect more…at least an offer to get a fan for the room or something. We won’t be back.

Loved the spaciousness and decor of our room. The property is a converted 19th Century high school. The decor features antiques and civil war art, which is totally en pointe for Gettysburg. Know that there is no elevator, so if stairs are a problem for you, book a room on the first floor. If we need to go back to Gettysburg, we know where we will stay!

The bed was great the the shower was great.

The property was unique. Built in 1896. Quaint and nostalgic, fitting for the area. The problem we experienced was the room A/C wasn’t working so they brought in a large cooler that ran constantly. It looked like it had been there for some time which led me to question why a hotel of this stature hadn’t had the room A/C repaired. We hardly got an hours sleep because of the noise of the cooler. Will never stay at this property again!!!

Great hotel with large rooms, great shower, Civil War era decor. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Perfect location to be right in the heart of Gettysburg. The room was very large & bath was very generous.

All of the Staff was excellent. The hotel was extremely accommodating. Chris was a real gem and extremely helpful, personable, and fun. The town is a great time and this hotel is in the perfect spot for walking or driving wherever you need to go. We will be back.

The only negative was that we were 5 minutes late for the afternoon tea & stones, and the person at the desk at the time did not offer to get some stones to have with our tea.

My new favorite Hotel to stay in Gettysburg! Beautiful rooms and excellent staff. Staff went out of their way to make sure we had all we needed and more. Enjoyed a nice dinner downstairs with piano music and a great breakfast next door on their property. Very close to restaurants- only 3/4 blocks from the town circle. Traffic was a little noisy in the morning and the floor creaked above us when other people woke up but that's to be expected with a building from the 1800's. Overall a great experience and highly recommended!

This was truly one of the best hotel stays we have had. Beautiful room. Staff was lovely. Love the pub down stairs. We were in the heart of Gettysburg and were in walking distance to everything. Chris at the front desk was incredible. He was helpful with suggestions and very helpful. Will 100% stay here again and will.suggest to others. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Charming place to stay in Gettysburg. Really helps set the mood of the trip. The town is wonderful. Everything is very close, very walkable. Delightful staff here. Take a step back in time and stay here.

We liked the property and enjoyed our 3 day stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is a brief walk to downtown Gettysburg and there are lots of restaurants near by. The pub is nice, we only had a night cap, and the Federal Pointe Grill has a good breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to visit again.

Property on outskirts of center square but easy walk and quiet

Has everything I needed plus was in the Gettysburg downtown area with many amenities.

Great property. Staff was outstanding. This is a safe bet, conveniently located with plenty of shops and dining choices.

Great hotel. The staff was fantastic. We would definitely recommend and stay again. The only drawback in the neighboring houses as you walk to the main circle were a little concerning.

This property was everything I envisioned and more. I went on a guys' trip with six other buddies and everyone kept raving about their experience during and after our stay at Federal Pointe Inn. Very close to the battlefield and to the downtown area, too!

I absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms were so nice and comfortable. I really enjoyed the pub in the basement and the piano music at Christmas was so nice. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was so beautifully decorated with historical artwork I really enjoyed. When I travel to Gettysburg this will be my go to place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Federal Pointe Inn! Everything was just perfect. The room was big and comfy. The restaurant food was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is within walking distance to the downtown area and a very short drive to the Gettysburg Museum and battleground. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend this inn. The staff was phenomenal..true professionals. Friendly, helpful and interested in making our stay as pleasant as possible. Our room was spacious, lovely and comfortable. The history of the building is fascinating...don't miss the exhibits on the lower level. We had dinner two nights in the bar. Food was great and so was the bartender.

Historical. But the facilities were modern. Very convenient to the Gettysburgs military park and easily walkable to downtown Gettysburg. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and courteous. The pub restaurant was very convenient, the staff pleasant and the food plentiful and reasonably priced.
