The host was very gracious; offered us a tour when we arrived and complimentary drinks. The porch out back was beautiful and relaxing. Our room was very comfortable and the homemade breakfast in the morning was fantastic!

Squeaky clean well maintained inn on beautiful grounds with amazing views! Bernadette and her staff do a fantastic job of making you feel welcome even if it’s your first time. Room was great and breakfast was great. Looking forward to staying at the Ballard House Inn again.

My wife and I would recommend the Ballard House to anyone. The facilities were spotless, and our hostess made us feel welcome from the first minute we arrived. The room in which we stayed was on the small side, but adequate for our needs. The common areas of the house are large and comfortable. Complimentary beverages, both hot and cold, were available 24/7. The breakfasts were amazing! They began with fresh fruit and proceeded to the main course, with whatever juices and hot beverages you might desire. Our first morning we had a stack of pancakes; the second a nice omelet. Alternatives/additional items like cereal, toast, etc, were available also. The wrap-around porch ends with a large deck in the back, with picture-worthy views of the lake and the surrounding hills.

We loved our visit to The Ballard House. Very comfy and cozy with a gorgeous view of the mountains and sunsets from the back porches. Very close to all the restaurants, Weirs Beach, and Lake Winnepesaukee. Plus Bernadette makes some delicious breakfasts! We will definitely be return customers.

This lovely old house serves as a B&B. Our room was very small, but we had a comfortable bed and our own bathroom. For one night that's all we needed. Sadly, we missed the breakfast which sounded yummy because we had to leave before the breakfast service began. They kindly left us some slices of blueberry bread and we made our own coffee in the morning to serve as breakfast. There was an excellent service bar for visitors offering complementary soft and hard drinks, ice, and ice water, coffee, tea, and wine. I would return when I need a room after a concert in the area.

Bernadette & Dave are so nice & accommodating. The place is absolutely adorable and clean. Breakfast is always delicious and the complementary beer and wine fridge is such a nice touch. Love this place!!!!

Inn keeper was so accommodating, gave us plenty of ideas for fun in the Lake Winnipesaukee area, The Ballard House has been featured in the Yankee Magazine, a lot of history. Beautiful back deck with outstanding view of mountains.

Just had a 1 night stay at the Ballard house for a recent concert at BONH Pavilion. Bernadette met us at the front entrance and introduced herself (very warm and friendly). Showed us around quickly (as we had to get going as soon as we checked in). Waking up the following morning we enjoyed an incredible homemade breakfast served on the back deck overlooking a mountain range and lake in the distance. Food was great, room was comfortable and incredibly clean as the rest of the Inn was. I will definitely be coming back here again when I have a little more time to spend in the area. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, yet friendly and picturesque landscape for a little R+R.

The road is very loud and the room I had was a third story walk up. I didn’t realize it when I booked it. Was a real bummer to haul my heavy bag up after a long day of working.

The innkeeper was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and breakfast was good. Our room was on a very noisy road on the outskirts of town and needs updating. There are steep stairs leading up to the inn, then more stairs required to get to the rooms. They're not safe if you're carrying heavy luggage or have an injury or disability impacting your ability to use stairs.

Our host was incredibly friendly and the breakfast was marvelous. A wonderful place! Only small gripe - it is a very old house and the walls and ceiling are completely transparent to sounds… so can be a bit noisy depending on who is your neighbor.

Bernadette was an amazing hostess who runs a truly hospitable place! I have not felt so pampered at an inn and hotel ever. All the little details are there and makes it so wonderful. Excellent chocolate chips cookies upon arrival and delicious breakfast before we left to top it off. We talked about a reason to go back the whole ride home!

The Inn and the property are beautiful and charming. The location is excellent with access to Laconia, Weirs Beach, Meredith, Gilford, etc. The Innkeepers were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was wonderful. Definitely recommend.

Perfect! Convenient for us as a short stay. Owners were marvelous and offered wonderful breakfast. Just out of of town but conveniently close. Quiet and a perfect place to return to for fall foliage season!

One of the best places I have ever stayed in !!!! Our hostess and her staff were amazing and I hope to return to stay there someday soon!!!!!!! My girlfriend and I are going to try and make this an annual vacation and we know exactly where we will be staying and it is The Ballard Hose Inn!!!!

Inn keeper was so accommodating, gave us plenty of ideas for fun in the Lake Winnipesaukee area, The Ballard House has been featured in the Yankee Magazine, a lot of history. Beautiful back deck with outstanding view of mountains.

Just had a 1 night stay at the Ballard house for a recent concert at BONH Pavilion. Bernadette met us at the front entrance and introduced herself (very warm and friendly). Showed us around quickly (as we had to get going as soon as we checked in). Waking up the following morning we enjoyed an incredible homemade breakfast served on the back deck overlooking a mountain range and lake in the distance. Food was great, room was comfortable and incredibly clean as the rest of the Inn was. I will definitely be coming back here again when I have a little more time to spend in the area. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, yet friendly and picturesque landscape for a little R+R.

The Inn and the property are beautiful and charming. The location is excellent with access to Laconia, Weirs Beach, Meredith, Gilford, etc. The Innkeepers were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was wonderful. Definitely recommend.

We loved our visit to The Ballard House. Very comfy and cozy with a gorgeous view of the mountains and sunsets from the back porches. Very close to all the restaurants, Weirs Beach, and Lake Winnepesaukee. Plus Bernadette makes some delicious breakfasts! We will definitely be return customers.

The innkeeper was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and breakfast was good. Our room was on a very noisy road on the outskirts of town and needs updating. There are steep stairs leading up to the inn, then more stairs required to get to the rooms. They're not safe if you're carrying heavy luggage or have an injury or disability impacting your ability to use stairs.

Bernadette was an amazing hostess who runs a truly hospitable place! I have not felt so pampered at an inn and hotel ever. All the little details are there and makes it so wonderful. Excellent chocolate chips cookies upon arrival and delicious breakfast before we left to top it off. We talked about a reason to go back the whole ride home!

The host was very gracious; offered us a tour when we arrived and complimentary drinks. The porch out back was beautiful and relaxing. Our room was very comfortable and the homemade breakfast in the morning was fantastic!

Bernadette and her staff run a first class B&B. The house is beautiful. Clean, well maintained with all the amenities. Her breakfast alone is worth the price.

My wife and I would recommend the Ballard House to anyone. The facilities were spotless, and our hostess made us feel welcome from the first minute we arrived. The room in which we stayed was on the small side, but adequate for our needs. The common areas of the house are large and comfortable. Complimentary beverages, both hot and cold, were available 24/7. The breakfasts were amazing! They began with fresh fruit and proceeded to the main course, with whatever juices and hot beverages you might desire. Our first morning we had a stack of pancakes; the second a nice omelet. Alternatives/additional items like cereal, toast, etc, were available also. The wrap-around porch ends with a large deck in the back, with picture-worthy views of the lake and the surrounding hills.

Amazing stay at a beautiful place. Bernadette is a very gracious host. Breakfast was delicious and great coffee. The wrap around porch and views were a great way to end our day. Comfy beds and truly the softest sheets. We loved all the finishes in this 1700s home! We will be back
