Hotel Riviera Elysees

Nice small budget hotel. Kind staff, polite, courteous & professional. Location is great if you are there for business. Short walk to Port Maillot. 50 mins walk to Roland Garros or Parc Des Princes. L’arc just around the corner. It’s small and pokey but you aren’t in Paris for staying in.

Bad. They charged me €100 in addition to the reservation cost stating the reservation price was only “an average“. Only after submitting a claim to Hotels.com they refunded me the additional charge. The room was dirty. No cleaning service. Only 2 towels for 2 people for 4 nights. No face towels. Spotty hot water. The shower head was duct taped. Weak water pressure. After requesting the room to be cleaned it was still dusty with visible hairs and spider webs; they didn’t clean it. Location is good.

The hotel is in a brilliant location and the room was very clean. Staff were really helpful, looked after our bags before we could check in and after we checked out and offered to help take our bags up to our room. Room had working aircon which was really helpful this time of year

Friendly staff! English speaking. Nice location, near to Arc Triomphe and two metro stations. Silent area. But: Charged a 100EUR "deposit" for the room at arrival (was refunded afterwards). Would be lost if you smoke (of course) or eat or drink alcohol in your room. Not allowed to take a beer or eat a snack in your room? Never heard of that before. Old, building in need of total refurbishment. Elevator not working (and looked totally out of date): carry your luggage up the single, narrow staircase 6 floors up. Only 3 rooms per floor. My room: Small, but OK for single. 3 hangers only. Small safe not working. Bathroom very small. Cracked sink. Ventilator fan hangig out of the wall. Only luke warm water in the morning. But very silent area, no problem to sleep with the window open. Very comfortable bed. One can do with all this, but not to the price I payed: 651 EUR for 3 nights. I did not order breakfast for 10 EUR: Very, very small "saloon", no kitchen. Wonder what they served? A nice restaurant was open around the corner from 7 AM. Btw. the fire safety was worrying. No alternate route down, in this 100 year old building. I did not see any smoke detectors either.
