Atwell Suites Miami Brickell by IHG

The only thing that disappointed my family is that they kept the pool closed too long. We stayed when Helene’s wind was very intense. But it was only intense for one day….the next it was like nothing ever happened, perfect weather, but the pool stayed closed all day. Not happy considering we chose to stay there because there was a pool for my kids.

The property's location was perfect. In walking distance of the metro, mall and restaurants. The parking is too expensive! $35 per night as a paying guest! That needs to be revisited. The room was not as clean as it could have been. There was hair on the living room, bedroom and bathroom floor. It was as if the room was not swept or vacuumed properly. The suite was spacious. Breakfast was adequate and can be improved. Pleasant and informative staff. Overall this property is a 7. Simple improvements can make it a 9.

The locations is great. It has many ways to transport without relying on a car. The pool was not clean on our first day but for the rest of the 3 days it was nice. Daniel at the front desk was very friendly,

First the pros: The suite was spacious and well-appointed. The place was well-lit -- lots of natural light as well as from fixtures. There were ample outlets all over for charging phones and laptops. Breakfast was included and was fairly good. The pool area was large. Gym was fairly well-equipped. Centrally located in Brickell, only 2 blocks from SW 1st Ave dining and shopping and 6 blocks from the Brickell City Center. Now the cons: Breakfast after 7:30 was a disaster. They were out of omelets and hot sandwiches. The omelets were being replenished at a very slow and unsustainable rate. The hot sandwich was gone and never replenished. After 9, the crowds were all but off the charts. Many patrons left with only cereal for their meal. The shower had no hot water at 6:30 in the morning. While it's not a big deal in the Miami heat, it's not a comfortable shower. The fact that the hotel didn't have hot water in the morning was absolutely unpardonable. Pool water was green and hazy. Couldn't smell any chorine, which was a concern. Even saltwater pools make enough chlorine that you can smell it in your swimwear. Not so here. As if that wasn't enough, there were no pool towels on a Monday night. I had to run to the front desk to get a towel. Not the hotel's fault, but the block on SW 2nd Ave between 11th and 10th St is filthy with open garbage and dog poop on the sidewalk.

I loved this hotel. I was able to sleep throughout the might without being woken up by slamming doors or talking. The washer and dryer were free to use, but they dont have detergent. The 711 was like a minute walk, and a publix was like a 3-minute walk, which is where i got detergent to wash. It was a close walk to the mall and the little strip of bars amd restaurants. The pool is open from 8 am to 8pm. Breakfast was privided amd its your average hotel Breakfast. We stayed here for our cruise and the terminal was close so we ubered there.

No none valet option which was a pain for us going in and out. Garbage I saw on the gym floor was still there the next day. The gym was really hot yet the AC was blasting in the all the hallways. I asked for it to be cool in the gym as well. They said they’d send someone but never did. It was so hot in there a lot of people just left. The Kitchenette is a great thing to have but not even a glass or silverware was provided. Just two paper cups. We we’re going to stay here in our way back from the keys but decided to book somewhere else after this. The location was great though and the elevators were fast considering there are 24 floors. We didn’t eat the breakfast so I can speak to that.

Needs parking for the Guest thats staying insde not just Valet

We stayed here for 1 night before leaving for a cruise out of Port of Miami. Location service, and cleanliness were all top notch and we really enjoyed our stay. The pool deck on the 6th floor was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of travel.

Hotel stay was okay!!! I was unaware of the $300 hold on the card and they were adamant that it had to be a credit card. They didn’t take cash app or Apple Pay, which was kinda inconvenient for people who only carry cash. So I had to have a family member use there but they were confused due to credit card paperwork say don’t sent a credit card, but then the front desk showed me another paperwork that said do. When I showed the front desk the discrepancy in the paperwork, they just brushed it off, which did not sit well with my family member . Plus I was unaware of the $40 a day parking, which if I know I would have found a hotel with free parking on site. But the $40 a day was great for 24 hour valet service. My second day at the hotel shower started leaking. Water started coming out on the side. Immediately, when I told the front desk, they move my room, which was a great and fast response. But for the price of the hotel, it was not a good look. Hotel was located around a lot of amenities, so if you didn’t drive, you could just walk a lot of places.

Hotel very good all good bout only not parking charge 36 dollars for night

We stayed for one night. I liked the space in the room and the balcony. However, the floor was very dirty. The wall is also super thin. In the middle of the night, I was waken up by the music and the woman having sex next door to us! Very uncomfortable!

A great clean hotel. Wonderful and friendly staff.

This property has so much potential, but falls short due to poor management. Positives: Great location, large suites, and beautifully designed. Valet was friendly and fast. Negatives: front desk and housekeeping were impossible to reach. They never answered our phone calls. There was hair everywhere when we arrived to our room and when we asked for someone to come clean it they came in with an oversized lint roller which didn't do a great job. They were also visibly annoyed by the request. I am wondering if the floors of this hotel have ever been mopped because they are very dirty. The television and phone in our room did not work for our entire one week stay, and our requests for repair were ignored. The curtain rods were also broken. Several lightbulbs were out. One of our toilets was slow to drain. Maintenance was unresponsive. The pool often lacked towels and the floor drains smelled of sewage. Breakfast was poorly stocked.

Room was dirty. No iron in the room. Construction noise outside. I actually decided to leave early becaus e the hotel was too dirty.

Hotel was very clean, great views!

Beautiful, modern room with a great view. Beds and sofa very comfortable. Entire hotel was very clean. All staff members were engaging and helpful. Just a short walk to the downtown area, with a longer walk to Bayfront Park. Easily accessible to and from airport by MetroRail (station is only 2 blocks away). Not much road noise.

I arrived at the hotel around 3:30 PM, aware that check-in time is at 4:00 PM. When I first approached the front desk, I was informed that my room was not ready yet, which I completely understood. However, when I returned at 4:00 PM, I was told that a few more checks were still being done on my room. While I appreciated the complimentary item offered from the bar, over 20 minutes passed without any communication, and I had to approach the front desk again to inquire about the room status. It felt like if I hadn\'t taken the initiative to ask, I might not have been informed promptly when the room was finally ready. Upon entering my room, I was disappointed to find that it was not up to the cleanliness standards IHG promises. Several areas appeared to have been missed during the cleaning process, which is quite disappointing given the brand\'s emphasis on its "clean promise.

The property is in a walkable location, near a few bars, restaurants, pharmacies, Publix and Brickell city center. There is construction next door but I didn't find it to but too loud unless. Breakfast was basic but wasn't a bad touch. It definitely could be improved. Hotel room was spacious but didn't have much amenities. Just the bath wash, body lotion, a hair dryer and a steamer. Hotel room could use some refreshing as some areas in the bathroom looked old, and tiles needed to be replaced. My number one issue is the cleaners. Upon checkin, we noticed our floors were dirty and had stains on them. The second day we did not get a house keeper until 5:30 pm which was too late as we needed to get ready for reservations. The third day we went to the front desk to request the room to be cleaned earlier than 5:30. Imagine the shock on my face when we return at 6 pm on the third day and the floor still had dirt, hair strands, and spilled drink marks from the previous guest. I had to ask the cleaner for her broom to start cleaning as I was very annoyed and couldn't even take off my shoes and walk around because the floor felt so dirty. The cleaner did not speak English which complicated the entire ordeal. Fourth day, same thing! New towels, bed had been made but the floor still hasn't been moped. We went five days without getting our room properly cleaned which was a huge inconvenience as we didn't feel comfortable in the room.

I didn’t like that I can hear the train and activity of the commercial trucks from the bedroom. No rest.

We had to pay 40 dollars for parking every day. Asked for house keeping 3 times before day show up. TV never worked and no one fixed it even though we asked twice.

I had a quick and easy check in. The room had a nice balcony to enjoy the view of the sky rises at night. The room was updated and spacious. It was a 1 bedroom suite with a pullout couch. 2 bathrooms were convenient as I went with my kids. There was an eat-in counter in the kitchen with a sink, microwave, mini fridge and coffee station. They had complimentary breakfast on the top floor and it was good along with coffee, tea, and juices. All the attendees were so nice and welcoming. There is construction going on in the front of the building but from the 22nd floor, I couldn’t hear anything. It is walking distance to many dining places and shopping. It was an easy walk. The monorail is close by as well. I would definitely recommend this spot.

WiFi had issues and television channels came in and out

Amazing hotel! Suites are huge, balconies are amazing for the view and staff is extra sweet! Definitely making this my designated place when I visit miami!

The room was modern and accommodated our party of 6 adults comfortably. There were decent options for the included breakfast and the view from the balcony was fantastic! I chose this location due to its proximity to Port Miami and it did not disappoint.

The room was spacious, two bathrooms, a little kitchen area with a sink, coffee maker, microwave and small fridge, the bed was comfortable and the view was beautiful. The staff was very kind and accommodating!

We arrived 4 hours prior to check-in and requested early check-in, which I realize can’t always be accommodated, but our room wasn’t ready until 30+ minutes past the posted check-in time. When we got to the room our balcony was overlooking a large construction site and offered no actual “city” view. I also didn’t like how the doors to the main room and bathroom are pocket doors as they provide no sound barrier. Also, the door that went between the bedroom and the living room area kept sliding open and there was no lock or way to keep it closed for privacy. I also didn’t like that the main bathroom with the shower was shared between both bedrooms even though there is a separate bathroom without the shower right next to the other bedroom/main door. If you require or want privacy you will not want to book the junior suite. The pool area and property are nice, I just didn’t care for the room layout, late check-in, or lack of view. If the room setup/layout at least provided more privacy I would’ve considered staying there again.

Very nice suite with comfortable bed, nice shower, double balcony, sitting area, and small kitchenette. Easy walking distance from nice restaurants on a relatively quiet street.

My stay here was TERRIFIC!!! The front desk and sanitation staff were all so very professional, attentive, welcoming and warm. Already booking my next stay!!!

This place was so nice! The front desk staff was friendly and check in was all of 45 seconds due to me paying in advance. The room was spacious and location was walking distance to a lot. Will stay here when I visit Miami from now on. This was nicer than a lot of hotels in South Beach.

Biggest issue was day of checkin they had us waiting 4 hrs before telling us they overbooked. Even though I had booked room 3 months prior. If I didn’t go to desk wouldn’t have had room. Manager was able to give us another room and bar comps. But woman at desk had told us at first that nothing was available.

Check in lasted a couple hours, housekeeping cleaning now, the estimated time question was answered Ill call housekeeping and let you know. Did not let us know. We sat for an hour and then asked again, after waiting in the line again which was as long as the room, I asked again, can you tell us when our room will be ready? She clicks on her computer some more, the housekeeping is just starting. I say what she told me last time, she gives me drink tickets for the bar. Cause that's really what my kids need right now after being up since 2AM traveling all day

Customer service was the best I’ve seen in years!

The Atwell Suites exceeded our expectations. We decided to stay in Miami the day our cruise came in. The staff was very accommodating. They let us leave our bags downstairs. We were given access to the pool and lounge area. The pool was beautiful. The lounge are provided us a nice area to decompress for a few minutes. We were granted early check in, which we were extremely grateful for. The room was nice and clean. We had a suite with a balcony. The shower was nice with a rain head. The beds were very comfortable. Our kids used the pull out bed and raved about how comfortable it was. The night time view of the city was beautiful. The are was very nice. We found a nice sushi restaurant, some gelato and then walked around the open air mall. We would definitely stay here again.

Staff was incredibly rude and not responsive. We ordered pillows, blankets and towels to the room three times and never received anything. When we checked out at the front desk, the lady was very rude and aggressive.

This was my second time visiting this property, the first time was OK, but this time my entire experience was terrible! Cleanliness was not met, staff weren’t polite, the females at the front desk had an attitude and made me feel uncomfortable, reported issues that I had , numerous of times during my stay. Ended up leaving the hotel very disappointed! Also the manager Carmello, was not helpful at All!! If I were to go into detail about my whole experience, I’ll be here all day! Overall my entire experience was terrible, will never go again!! And would not recommend this property to anyone.!

The front desk staff was very professional and welcoming. We stayed on the 17th floor and had a beautiful view if the city. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast bar was also very good.

Great location, just off of the main Brickell area. Nice suites.

We stayed here after disembarking from a cruise. The front desk allowed us to check in at 10 am which was so kind of them. The hotel and our room were both very nice. The happy hour is great as well. It is within walking distance of a plethora of dining, shopping, drinking, and tourist interest spots. The only downside was the amount of noise outside the hotel. The metro line was very loud and there was road construction being done late into the night. I would however stay here again.

Great option. So quick from airport on metro. All teansport options one mknute away. Really nice area, lots food shopping great atmosphere at night. Hotel rooms big apartment style, big balcony.

Everything was awesome except for the construction across the street.

We've stayed at Atwell Suites twice and will do so again, especially if we're going on a cruise. It's close to the cruise port, yet less expensive than some of the hotels in the area. It's close to some nice restaurants, and the room was very spacious.

This area of Miami is probably my favorite we’ve stayed in so far. Lots of walkable options to eat with train nearby.

Breakfast was not good

Breakfast was very very limited, I actually never experienced such a small selection for hotel breakfast. The rooms were ok, our safe wasn’t working, the bathroom had only the very basic amenities, no shower cap etc. The towels were horrible…. The fluff would make me sneeze, in the light you will see the fluff in the air as soon as you open the towel.

The room was excellent. I give them full points for the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the breakfast was the same thing everyday. There weren't many options to choose from.

The suite was nice but our tv was broken in the bedroom area. Though we called down to guest services and they were willing to change our room. I felt like they should have known that the television wasn’t working before they put us in the room. Also the breakfast options we not good at all. It was to many people in such a small area trying to eat breakfast

Great location, beautiful view at the 24th floor, good breakfast.

Property was nice, but staff in the restaurant was not attentive to customers needs. Had to go ask for drinks, waited a while to get food or even be asked if we wanted food. For what you pay for food here, I would expect a higher level of service. At one point bartender was more concerned about what was going on with his phone than customers.

Beautiful hotel with a great view from the balcony! We were just there as a stopover one night, but enjoyed the spacious room and liked that we were in a walkable area. Above average continental breakfast.

Walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything in the room next to you. Included breakfast was a joke. Prepackaged food and some cereal and a bagel or bread to toast. Orange juice was watered down Tang.
