So clean, comfy and welcoming! A very unique property in a very convenient spot in Carcassonne. Don't be fooled by the humble exterior -- it's quite lovely inside. The host is absolutely charming and wonderful. Highly recommended!

When we showed up to check in, Catherine, the owner of the place, told us she doesn’t allow kids at the guesthouse and why didn’t we tell her about our kid beforehand. I told her that she sleeps in our bed so as there was no need for any extra amenities, I didn’t think I had to. She begrudgingly let us in. We made sure, as soon as our kid started crying, to calm her down, even running out of the house with her so we wouldn’t disturb other guests. On the last morning, she banged on our door and asked us to be quiet as our child was crying a bit. It was 9am. When we went for breakfast she kept on telling off our child for playing with little stones which she didn’t put anywhere else, they were just in her hands. When I asked her if we could leave our suitcases there for a few hours, she said no and told us we could leave them at the train station which didn’t actually have luggage storage. It was a big surprise to us and an inconvenience. On our way up to pack our bags as she told us check in was half an hour earlier than officially confirmed on the website, she asked us to be quit again, at 10am. When I went to pay the city tax at check out, she got mad when she saw the credit card and told us it had to be in cash as per the website and why did we bring a kid and just lost it at us. Nowhere on the website did it mention these things. She wanted us to leave our luggage there until coming back with the cash for the city tax- €4.. Very bad experience and would not return.

Catherine is very helpful and kind, watched our luggage for a few hours and lent us an umbrella. Location was about 20 minutes walk from the entrance to the old city. We were lucky enough to have one of the large rooms, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathtub was amazing! The hotel is bit difficult to find as the signage is very discrete.

Its location is good as in the midle of the city center and the castle. Rooms are Small and have not been update in sometimes. Breakfast was just ok as both morning french toast or pancake serve cold , nothing warm and no meat or cheese something you would expect in France with a good croissant. It had à Small roof top patio to share with other quest that did provide a nice view but only positive note

The property was in a good location, quiet but walkable to all important sites. Catherine was a lovely host, very accommodating, had breakfast ready each morning and kept our luggage on our day of departure.
