Great hotel with fabulous views of Carcassone Castle. Great sized room with bath and shower complementary robe slippers and mini bar. Excellent buffet breakfast. 4pm checkin is later than most hotels Great pool use however steam room etc is part of spa at an additional cost of 45 euros per hour. Overall great location for Christmas markets and castle 🏰 would highly recommend

L’hôtel est très bien , mais très déçu que ça ne soit pas précisé que l’accès au SPA est avec supplément, sur le site le tarif du parking , du petit déjeuner… est annoncé mais pas le tarif du SPA, hors on a réservé sur hôtel.com à un tarif plus élevé que directement sur le site de l’hôtel en pensant que le SPA était inclus , je suis très très déçue , très mauvaise surprise en arrivant

Great spot just across the river from the castle and a couple of blocks to great restaurants. They do have a small pay parking lot that is gated. Also, a driveway space to park briefly to unload/load your car out front. We loved our room and the view!

Pluses: very courteous staff, beautiful views of the Medieval City, convenient for that and for dining, very clean overall, good sized rooms, pleasant gardens. Minuses: pool is very small and only opens at 10am, parking is near, very secure and easy to get to but the route back to the hotel is awful; it takes you all round the town on a one-way system, often choked with traffic. They do have their own parking - at 15 Euros per night.

Being a Hotels.com VIP member I was offered 10 euro voucher which can be used for food and drinks in the hotel. I had breakfast in the hotel but when I checked out the reception didn't allow me to use it. She said that it is only for drinks. I showed her the offer details then she said that it is only for dinner not for breakfast. This is not acceptable. There a nice gym but hardly any weight lifting equipment. For such a 5 star hotel it is disappointing.

Fantastic hotel but not enough staff, rarely any bar staff and the bar closed early. Breakfast was good but they were not very good at re filling things. Other than that, a brilliant location. Would recommend.

If you are travelling with a pet, this hotel is Not dog friendly Your dog is not allowed in any areas apart from the room This meant that we also could not use any of the other areas We had to eat all meals away from the hotel despite the fact it was listed as dog friendly We also paid an additional 40 euros for our dog to stay We fully appreciate that people do not want pets nearby when they are eating but this hotel should make an effort to provide for pet owners Not interested when we complained We had a superior room with balcony The balcony was filthy The toilet seat was hanging off and the room was smelly The tv was faulty Would not return again

Chambre spatieuse avec douche et baignoire. La baignoire fuiyait, un des paignoire etait sale et les bouteilles proposees dans le mini barre sentaient le moisi. Sinon literie tres bien. Pas de veille sur la tele ou oas trouve. Plus de parking disponible. Voiture garee dans un des parking municipaux a 500m.

We had a nice balcony room on the third floor with a great view of La Cité and the Pont Vieux. The balcony had not been very well cleaned or swept though which is the sort of detail that a hotel of this quality should get right. The same goes for some of the crockery at breakfast. They need to check on the dishwashing because some plates were not properly clean.

The hotel was beautiful and perfect for the last night of our holiday in France. The front desk staff were very welcoming when we arrived early to store baggage and when we returned to check-in later they were helpful. The rooms are stunning, we had two spacious family rooms with balconies looking right out at the castle and walls. They were spotlessly clean and had everything we could need for refreshments and relaxing. The whole hotel looks recently refurbished to a high standard. The outdoor area was a beautiful space to spend time in the evening, hearing the ducks on the river. Bar staff were also friendly and welcoming. Location was perfect, between old and new parts of the town. In short, one of thd best hotels we've stayed jn as a family

Chambre très confortable et grande. La salle de bain était super malgré un problème d'écoulement dans la douche. Très bon service. Des tables pourraient être installées dehors à l'ombre sous les arcades pour le petit-déjeuner. Il y fait plus frais que sur la terrasse.

Very pleasant Hotel in a prime location on the river next to the old bridge with ready walking access to the old city. 2 nights in a comfortable room with bath and shower. Breakfast was ample with a good range of cold and hot buffet items. Service was excellent with reception staff supportive and helpful. On the critical side, the spacious balcony with good views of river, bridge and old town leaked from above, with tired floring. The spa is separate from the small hotel swimming pool at extra cost with the hot tub and sauna within the spa. No room service for food whilst the restaurant was open and fully booked. Overall, a good stay 8/10

This is not a 5* hotel, we had issues with lights in the room not working and a pipe running onto our balcony. Decor also needs updating. However, staff were wonderful and tried hard to make amends for the issues, very friendly and attentive. Shame Sowell group is neglecting the hotel.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The room was an upgrade so we had a balcony and wonderful of the old city of Carcassonne. The bedroom had a huge open plan bathroom with large, round bath. We used the swimming pool, which is indoors and very nice for a quick dip. The breakfast was lovely!

Make sure to book a city view room. Our 3rd floor corner room was spacious with two double beds, a bath and separate shower and most importantly stunning views across the Aude of the Pont Vieux and the old city. We stayed two nights with breakfast included. Breakfast had a good selection including champagne, much to my wife’s delight, and you could have it in the air conditioned breakfast/restaurant or on the terrace. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay but would reiterate that the view from the balcony was a major factor in our enjoyment. If it’s the same for you make sure to book a city view room.

This room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the castle complex framed by jasmine with it’s marvellous scent. The staff were very professional and friendly. It was an easy walk to the castle and also into the new town. A truly great place to stay

We were very happy with our stay. Great location from which to visit the old and new city. Super friendly staff!! The room was large with a wonderful balcony overlooking the old city. Nice garden with areas to sit and sip wine. We would stay here again. Highly recommend this hotel.

Sadly the images of the terrace are misleading for most rooms. The image is of a terrace is for the top floor panoramic rooms only, whereas most rooms don’t get much of the sun and are covered by greenery. They use the same terrace image for all rooms on the booking, which implies lots of sinshine (no roof).

Point positif : Personnel attentionné, belle chambre avec vue sur la cité. Point négatif : l'insonorisation des chambres. On y a passé la pire nuit de notre vie dans un hotel en raison d'une insonorisation de la chambre inexistante à la fois avec les chambres mitoyennes dans lesquelles on entend absolument tout (discussions, rires, portes qui claquent ...) et l'exterieur (bruits voitures, chien qui aboie et j'en passe). L'impression de dormir la fenetre grande ouverte... une catastrophe.
Point positif : Personnel attentionné, belle chambre avec vue sur la cité. Point négatif : l'insonorisation des chambres. On y a passé la pire nuit de notre vie dans un hotel en raison d'une insonorisation de la chambre inexistante à la fois avec les chambres mitoyennes dans lesquelles on entend absolument tout (discussions, rires, portes qui claquent ...) et l'exterieur (bruits voitures, chien qui aboie et j'en passe). L'impression de dormir la fenetre grande ouverte... une catastrophe.

Great hotel! We did have a little snafu when we arrived, they tried to charge us double. Luckily, we had made the reservation through Expedia and had proof of cost. I don’t know what would have happened if we hadn’t used Expedia.

Vi är ett par som reser mycket och är bortskämda med att bo på riktigt bra hotel. Vi blev bemötta på ett snorkigt och på gränsen till ovänligt sätt. Han var inte vänlig, inte hjälpsam och inte trevlig. Dessutom, att beskriva ett hotell som hundvänligt och ta ut en avgift för hund, för att för att när vi väl är på plats upplysa om att hunden endast får vistas på rummet och att rummet är tillgängligt från kl 16:00 är varken hundvänligt eller gästvänligt. Vi hade förskottsbetalat och täcknat försäkring mot inställt boende men orkade inte med procsessen, vi är på semester och vill ägna vår tid åt trevliga saker, inte tjafs. Således har vi betalat men inte bott där. Vi vill varna andra resanden för detta hotell så länge den personen som tog emot oss jobbar kvar. Hotellet i sig är säkert mycket bra. We paid for a full castle view and was given a partial view, when l went to ask for a room move the receptionist said you have booked via Hotels.com so they where not prepared to move us, albeit l’m Gold member. We were overcharged- told a bottle of champagne was 60 euros when we purchased it and then they charged us 110 euros when we settled the bill. We raised it to the staff and the management but they would not honour what we had been told. I would not recommend people stay there.

We were very happy with our stay. Great location from which to visit the old and new city. Super friendly staff!! The room was large with a wonderful balcony overlooking the old city. Nice garden with areas to sit and sip wine. We would stay here again. Highly recommend this hotel.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans vôtre hôtel, premier soir ,nous n'avons pas eu d'électricité pour recharger nos smartphone, ni pour la clim, ni le frigo, ni la lumière dans la salle de bain... Le lendemain vers 11h30 un appel pour nous dire que la chambre devait être libérée à 11h et qu’il fallait partir ; agacée, je rappelle que nous avons payé pour cela mais ça n’avait pas été vérifié. Staff were superb, the view from the hotel was fantastic towards the old city/ castle and a short walk across the old bridge to the old town was 5 mins. The hotel had an indoor swimming pool which we used, it was clean and fresh towels were sat on the recliners next to the pool. We stayed on a bed and breakfast and every morning you had the choice of cooked, fresh ham, cheese and pastries. A small niggled for me was the dinner menu never changed the whole time we were there and we felt it could had a bit of a difference but each to their own. A great stay made easier by the staff and standard of service. I would recommend a stay here 100%

Make sure to book a city view room. Our 3rd floor corner room was spacious with two double beds, a bath and separate shower and most importantly stunning views across the Aude of the Pont Vieux and the old city. We stayed two nights with breakfast included. Breakfast had a good selection including champagne, much to my wife’s delight, and you could have it in the air conditioned breakfast/restaurant or on the terrace. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay but would reiterate that the view from the balcony was a major factor in our enjoyment. If it’s the same for you make sure to book a city view room.

The hotel was excellent however the restaurant not so good. On our first night of two the manager tried to charge us for four extra drinks and if I hadn’t pointed this out we would have been charged. In the second night we booked into the restaurant and were told that out of an already sparse choice, two were unavailable. This was put down to it being a new menu. We left and ate in town
