It was very noticeable very for the price. Quite a quaint little place. Parking was bad. Very limited space. I put my sign out do not disturb and a cleaning lady banged on my door at 9:30am told us to hurry up and check out! I was pissed cause check out is at 11.

As someone who builds things for a living I can sure appreciate the hard work and effort put in to this property. While the property is clearly older, it is in amazing shape. If you want to pick things apart go somewhere else. If you want a clean cozy stay that’s cute to boot and adorable while being affordable come here! Onsite laundry real helped out and everything is close by.

Good location. Staff helpful. Has laundry facilities. But room, while clean, was dark. Only tiny soaps, and packaged shampoo/conditioner impossible to open.

Parking and air conditioning were perfect

We were leery driving in. The place is outdated but, thus the price. The refrigerator was turned upon high (we didn’t realize it) and froze our food. So, we had to discard a lot of it. The window opened-that was nice for fresh air. However, the curtain kept falling down. When we tried to tell the office, the person didn’t understand English (some European language). The cleaning service did give us towels and took the trash we didn’t dispose of. NO ICE! The ice machine didn’t work. Couldn’t find anyone to tell. Parking is ambiguous. The space In front of our door didn’t allow enough space for our small Toyota. We could never figure out where we were to park. Be ware of Internet ratings. They aren’t that accurate. We were happy with the space to ret between our visits to the hot springs and eating! Food in Glenwood Springs is very diverse and all so very good!

We checked out a day early because the room was uncomfortably hot, the bed was too hard, only one pillow per person, no ice was available because the machine was unplugged. Just was not a pleasant place to stay.

Very helpful staff. My room had a beautiful Mountain View, and it was walking distance to the hot Springs pool, and the downtown area restaurants. The room was very clean, and had parking directly in front of my room. I would definitely stay there again!

The room suited our needs very well & we got to park right outside the room which was nice as we both have some mobility issues at this time.

My family stayed in a 2-bedroom suite with 3 Queen size beds total. I would recommend this room (rooms 15 16) or the Deluxe 2-BR suite for a family. A few updates would be nice, like new bedspreads and carpeting, but otherwise the location and price suited us just fine and we could park 5 feet from the door. An easy walk to the pool or downtown, and right off the Interstate but surprisingly quiet at the same time. I would stay there again if the rates were comparable. It's not luxury, but a good value.

Carpet was very dirty, needs some deep cleaning ; the staff however was very nice and sweet.

This is one of the cleanest motels I have stayed it. It is vintage and has a German charm, but well taken care of. The location is within walking distance to town. You can not beat the value of this motel!

I had a horrible experience and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. When we checked into our room, we found it still dirty from the previous guests. The cleaning staff said it wouldn't take long to clean, but I noticed they didn't bring in new bed sheets and blankets. Instead, they reused the ones from the last person. They cleaned the room in 5 minutes, and when I asked if they changed the sheets, they said no. I requested that they change the sheets due to stains, but they never returned them. I asked the front desk lady to request another room because of the poor cleaning, but she refused and said she would inform the cleaning staff. However, the cleaning staff only spoke Spanish and didn't understand her instructions. I paid $500 for a two-night stay, but the room had no shower head, just a pipe sticking out of the wall. The bed was in poor condition, with one side having no springs, and the mattress and box spring were stained. This experience was unacceptable for the price paid. I will not be returning here and will be more cautious about trusting online reviews in the future. Due to the terrible service, we ended up leaving a day early.

Run down, not clean, broken items (tub stopper, lights, coffee maker), place need serious updates on everything.

My room had a variety of insects throughout and clearly had not been vacuumed prior to check-in. Throughout day 1 I kept feeling that 'bugs crawling on your skin' feeling and by day 2 I had bite marks all over my legs, ankles, and feet - turns out the room was thoroughly infested by fleas. I captured one and took pictures but the woman at the front desk did not take it seriously at all and waved me off. By the end of day 2 they had gotten into every nook and cranny of my belongings and I couldn't comfortably or safely go out in public let alone enjoy the rest of my planned activities. I returned to the front desk and spoke to the guy who took it slightly more seriously but still did his best to also write me off before finally booking me a room at a different motel. At that point it was midnight and I spent literally the entire night packing my stuff into trash bags, dousing everything in bug spray, transferring everything to the new motel on foot, systematically cleaning everything multiple times in the bathtub, and re-bagging for the trip home. I was so exhausted I slept through multiple alarms and missed my train home and had to scramble to find alternate transportation late in the day. Once I reached my car around 1am I had to strip naked in the parking garage at Union Station which made for a fun conversation with the security staff there. At home I once again wasted countless hours fumigating & cleaning everything yet again before anything came inside.

Stained mattress, blood on the box spring (I slept in my sleeping bag), used coffee packet in the coffee maker, scum ring in both bath tub and sink, Wi-Fi info in room doesn’t match available networks. Room 1, in particular, is very noisy, as it’s adjacent to the highway. For nearly $200 a night (and sold out), do better, Starlight Lodge!

The room was adequate, at best. The pillows were like cement, bedding old-fashioned. We were supposed to stay two nights and left after one. Nobody at front desk to even talk to about why we were leaving, and now they’re refusing to refund our second night.

Too noisy since it was on the street

Great location but rooms are tired and some parts were a bit gross. Our bathroom sink drained extremely slow backing up, the toilet seat had the bare wood showing through, and the mattress cover would slip off exposing the mattress.

Needs updated

No shower head in bathroom. Clean. Very simple. Bed medium comfortable.

Shower had problems turning on, bad outlets, lights hard to turn off by the bed. Sample of hair products a joke, no hair dryer. The beds needed replaced, mattress were worn out and the pillows were awful. We will never stay there again.

My wife and I were in bed asleep when the owner decided to let herself into our room in the middle of the night. I heard the key go in the door, and met her at the door as she opened it. She said she came because of noise? It was quiet as a tomb, every one was in bed. Later called the desk and gave a different reason and they made out it is my fault she let her self in as I didn't hang the do not disturb sign or throw the deadbolt from my side. She just slid her key into the door and let herself in, no call on the phone first, no knock on the door just walk right in, and then give ME attitude at check out instead of apologizing. Plenty other good choices in Glenwood Springs pass this one by.

Super friendly, helpful. Easy in, easy out. The staff were very helpful. The area is full of nice walks and bike rides. Walking to the hot spring pool takes 5 minutes. Beautiful!!

The owners went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. They picked us up from the train station. When departing, they actually drove out luggage to the train so we could shop and not have to lug it around. Have us beach towels for the pool. Better service than I've had in high end resorts. Recommend highly.

Great customer service .The owner was very welcoming and even upgraded our rooms. We will definitely be back next year.

Basic. Maid didnt respect do not disturb sign. Right on the roundabout but not that much noise. I think they have HBO painted on the side of the hotel. No HBO. Towels were old and stained. Heat was on all night. You dont have control over it. Half the guests are sketchy. Like day laborers, etc. Could walk to baths and over bridge to town.

Conveniently located near the interstate exit/entrance and near the hot springs spas. And the elderly Polish sisters running the place were a delight to chat with — what great senses of humor!

For the price and location. You can’t go wrong. The owners were very nice and helpful. I left a pair of glasses in the room and the cheerful and quickly mailed them to me. Great stay.

We stayed back on July 12 2025, and it was the WORST night of my life! The room was infested with bugs! On the walls, ceilings, floors, even under the glass top on the desk! When the sunlight finally came we noticed several of the bugs that had been squashed on the bend of the closet door!! I could not sleep for fear of them crawling on me as they had done while awake! We had been on the road all day and was unsafe to continue our trip before sleeping! It was late and slim picking for rooms without going to another town in either direction. The next morning at check out, my husband took a clear plastic bag full of the bugs I had killed and collected and the lady was not concerned she stated they came from the trees! Whatever the cause, there IS A SOLUTION AND CURE!!! THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE FOR THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM!! When he asked if she could at least refund 50% or something to accommodate for this she flat out refused!!! And so that my story isn't taken for an attempt to get something for free or bad mouth a place because they hurt my feelings, I've got pictures to back up my horrible encounter and proof for my lasting PTSD over that extremely long 7 hour stay!!!! I have videos I'd be happy to share, just ask!! Sleep in your car before staying here!!! There really needs to be a 0 star choice!!

Great location of you are planning a trip to the hot springs pool. The downtown shops and restaurants are a short walk over a pedestrian bridge.

We stayed at the Starlight Lodge a few times and each time it has been very nice, quiet and Friendly people working here. It's easy to walk to the main part of town and even easier to walk to the Mineral Hot Springs pool area.

Very close to hot springs, good restaurants nearby, and a 10 minute walk across the bridge to the Grand street entertainment area. It's an older hotel but it's clean and reasonably priced.
