The hostel room is spacious, bed with curtains, a storage underneath the bed but it requires a large lock to lock, a normal padlock can't lock it. But there is a bar downstairs which opens until 3 am. I had no problem with the noise, but others in the room could not sleep at night due to the noise and had to close the window. There are no fans or air conditioning in the room. Closing the window in the summer in Paris meant suffocation and hot to me, and that made me unable to sleep. The condition in the toilet/bathroom is OK. But some showers were blocked or had boiling water.

Les auberges de jeunesse ne sont pas souvent un endroit confortable mais quand il fait chaud et sans climatisation cela peut devenir vraiment difficile de dormir. Avec une fenêtre ouverte sur une rue passante et animée et une personne qui prend ses appels dans la chambre à toute heure de la nuit sans se préoccuper des autres, le séjour a été assez désagréable.

3ème fois que j'y vais et toujours quelque chose qui ne fonctionne pas. Cette fois-ci, le jour de mon arrivée, coupure d'eau de 13h à 18h, mais des bouteilles d'eau de 50 cl bien mis en évidence sont vendus à 2,50€, une belle arnaque ; pas d'ascenseur pendant tout mon séjour et évidemment on ne vous prévient pas au check-in et personne pour vous aider à monter vos bagages dans les étages et bien sûr aucun geste commercial. Et les chaînettes qui permettaient de fermer les casiers même avec de petits cadenas ont été enlevés, donc si vous voulez mettre vos affaires en sûreté, il faut acheter un gros cadenas disponible bien sûr à l'accueil.

La verdad que el establecimiento supero mis espectativas tiene un buen bar-restaurante en que tiene un ambiente festivo con vistas al canal. La habitación que me toco estaba muy bien, la cama era comoda y el personal del hotel muy amable y atento(hay personal hispanohablante) El hostel esta bien comunicado con el metro cerca.

Lys, the host at the front desk was super friendly and helpful! She also is really charming & funny, which makes the whole process that much more enjoyable. Lys is very well informed and will definitely give you practical advice for all of your inquiries. This is reflected throughout the property. There’s a bar & cafe on the ground floor directly on the canal. The bartender is really efficient and cordial! The rooms and showers were quiet, calm and surrounded by greenery.

Bon séjour dans cet établissement. Literie correct. Par contre déçu par le nettoyage des sanitaires, manque de papier toilette , lavabo bouché, personne n’est venu pendant plusieurs jours. A six dans la chambre, la salle de bains devient vite sale. Impossibilité de fermer à clef certains casiers car cassé et non nettoyé après le dernier occupant. Sinon le reste est comme à l’attendue.

I was a single female staying here in a mixed dorm and I felt very safe. The hostel has a security guard and every floor is key locked as well as your room. I couldn’t hear noise from the other rooms and I was very impressed with how clean the hostel was kept. The neighbourhood homes a lot of families and is full of bars, bakeries, restaurants and ice cream. You only need to take 1 metro line to get to the main attractions and the distance means that everything in the neighbourhood is cheeper than you would find closer to the city center

Kudos to reception & security staff!!! They’re amazing individuals!! They continue to offer great customer service regardless of the difficulties they face! I observed some extremely difficult guests and the staff dealt with the situation so calmly it was impressive!! They truly want to assist guests and ensure you have a fabulous time as a guest. I did enjoy my stay and was impressed by the cleaning & maintenance staff! They’re efficient and pay attention to detail. There are many hotels who do not clean as often as this cleaning staff! There were “chill spots” and activities on a regular basis if one were so inclined to participate. This was a great stay and I look forward to the next!

Helpful staff, but grumpy and sour cleaning lady. My mattress was rock hard. For that reason I did not have good nights of sleep. The storage boxsystem under the beds could have been smarter, so it wasn`t that noisy. Almost impossible not to wake up the others because of those. Acceptable walking distance to public transportation. The area is a bit boring but ok.

Right next to parks and canals as well as being near small, cute and cool cafes and restaurants. Because its right near the canal at night there can be shady characters, but it's not dangerous. It can be cery loud at night because of the bar so its a perfect party hostel and not really one for chilling while traveling.

The room was comfortable, but some of the receptionists and a restaurant manager were so rude. I stayed 7 nights total. When I added one more night after the 4 nights of stay, I accidentally clicked on 6 mixed room reservation instead of the same 6 women's room I Stayed for 4 nights. I ran down to ask if I could change to the same room, instead of checking out and go to a different room, a receptionist asked for the additional 17 Euro. I just left the reception area. Two days later, the same woman accompanied a security guard, abruptly opened the room door while we were talking about America vs. France with a room mate, saying "it was reported someone speaking English woman was screaming in this room". I asked, "did you hear my voice from outside?" After she Knew she got the wrong room, she even did not apologize for being rude. Another issue was a manager, came to me when I was eating Chicken avocado sandwich I ordered, "You are eating somebody else's food." I knew that was my order because it was not the first time I ordered the chicken menu. I did not respond while I was eating and after I finished eating, I walked to the manager. "What happened? It was my order." The manager never said sorry for what he did to the restaurant customer. He just walked into the kitchen. He knew I left a big tip for the waiter that I did not know the tips were shared. After I found out the tips were shared, No Tips! I don't think I want to give the tips even a penny to some people rude .

You can take transit, but the neighbourhood at night is so scetchy, that you need to take a taxi, which the front desk wouldn't call for me.

Right next to parks and canals as well as being near small, cute and cool cafes and restaurants. Because its right near the canal at night there can be shady characters, but it's not dangerous. It can be cery loud at night because of the bar so its a perfect party hostel and not really one for chilling while traveling.

I was a single female staying here in a mixed dorm and I felt very safe. The hostel has a security guard and every floor is key locked as well as your room. I couldn’t hear noise from the other rooms and I was very impressed with how clean the hostel was kept. The neighbourhood homes a lot of families and is full of bars, bakeries, restaurants and ice cream. You only need to take 1 metro line to get to the main attractions and the distance means that everything in the neighbourhood is cheeper than you would find closer to the city center

Overall a good hostel to stay at. The elevator was out so it was a hassle to carry luggage up many flights of stairs. Area feels much less like a tourist area which is nice, but not as much dining around. The room and bathrooms were fairly clean. Restaurant in the hostel was also very good and you get a discount which is nice.

La verdad que el establecimiento supero mis espectativas tiene un buen bar-restaurante en que tiene un ambiente festivo con vistas al canal. La habitación que me toco estaba muy bien, la cama era comoda y el personal del hotel muy amable y atento(hay personal hispanohablante) El hostel esta bien comunicado con el metro cerca.

Lys, the host at the front desk was super friendly and helpful! She also is really charming & funny, which makes the whole process that much more enjoyable. Lys is very well informed and will definitely give you practical advice for all of your inquiries. This is reflected throughout the property. There’s a bar & cafe on the ground floor directly on the canal. The bartender is really efficient and cordial! The rooms and showers were quiet, calm and surrounded by greenery.

Great location on Canal. No ac or fans so be mindful of that when booking in summer. Temps were higher than normal on my trip and even with the windows open it was too hot to be comfortable. I still rated it as excellent because they don’t control the weather but feel it’s important to be aware of.

The room was very clean, and the hostile and overall is very clean. The staff is wonderful. The breakfast in the morning is grea with muesli, fresh French, baguette, ham, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, and other things to eatThe only downside to this hostel is that the common area downstairs turns into a sports bar in the evening with loud music. Even though they have a “chill“ room, it is hard to escape the noise. Also, there is no kitchen.
