Friendly and helpful staff. A nice clean room with a kettle, small safe, iron, large fan (no a/c), and TV. Unfortunately the fridge didn't keep anything cool. Nice breakfast, good location to kick off walking tour of Riga located beside a lovely park. A small gym is available behind reception. Unfortunately they don't serve dinner in the restaurant but there are lots of restaurants only minutes away.

Lugnt hotell, mitt i gamla stan. Allt var rent och fint! Frukosten var väldigt fin! Det gick att beställa in från en meny under helgen. Barnen beställde pannkakor vilket kändes lyxigt! Otrolig frukostvärdinna som var väldigt uppmärksam och trevlig. Vi saknade dock en bar att hänga i på kvällen.

The hotel couldn’t be better located for exploring Riga old town. Our room overlooked the lovely Bastejkalna park, where you can pick up boat trips or enjoy a cold drink in one of the cafes. The trams run right in front of the hotel and can be loud so light sleepers would be better to ask for a room to the rear. Staff were welcoming and helpful and we really enjoyed the breakfast, though there are many alternative places close by too. We enjoyed a few drinks at the bar but it did shut a bit early at 10pm. Shout out to the young bar man who spoke impeccable English and even understood our Scottish accents with no trouble at all. All in all, a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Clean room, comfortable bed. Fantastic location right by the Old Town but on a street with tram, bus, and easy for taxis to access. Only one elevator which was broken on arrival, so if carrying suitcases yourself up stairs is difficult, don't stay here.

Super god placering i Old Town, tæt på alting. Fredelig vej og godt værelse og god seng. Eneste minus var, at køkkenet på dag 2 var lukket om morgenen, uden varsel, så omelet, æg mm ikke kunne bestilles, men OK condinental breakfast var dog tilgængelig.

I checked in to find my original room hadn’t been cleaned by housekeeping. I went downstairs to inform the lady at check in and she apologised profusely and said she would upgrade me to a superior room. I was really pleased about this as I would have been happy with my original room just being cleaned by housekeeping. The lady at the front desk was fantastic and went above and beyond to help me. My superior room was absolutely gorgeous and completely spotless. I had a coffee making machine, super soft and comfortable bed and a glorious view of the park across the street. My room was amazing!! The breakfast was wonderful and really delicious. The staff were really polite, friendly and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.

I would say that this is the best location for visiting Riga's old town and the parks in the center of the city. It is very conveniently located, not too loud either. Restaurants, coffee shops are all there. The room was small, but clean, and the price was right! I have seen other hotels in old town and I am glad I chose this one.

Located in a old house. Everything was old floors, carpets and beds. The walls were paperthin and you could hear every door slam on the same floor. Breakfast was small but ok. Great staff and service though. But all in all average at best.

Good stay,very good and helpful staff members. Room was nice and comfortable however shower was old and not the best and room was super cold doesn’t matter if I put a heating up to 30 degrees and slept next to the radiator still didn’t help. The view was a wall.

Great hotel! The staff was excellent. My original room was facing the park and had a nice view but it was so uncomfortably hot. I asked the front desk if the air conditioning didn’t work and they said my room did not include it, though it was advertised on Expedia that it did. So they ended up moving me to one that did have one and it was much better! The room was clean, was cleaned every day, and had nice amenities. This is a good base to explore all the old town outside your doorstep. Would highly recommend. If you get really hot, I wouldn’t recommend a front facing room and ask for a unit with a/c specifically.

Very nice hotel. HOWEVER perhaps due to short staffing there seemed to be trouble serving breakfast. On each of the 3 mornings I was there there was a problem with the coffee machine and on the Sunday morning the waitresses struggled with the orders and one of them was not very professional or polite I’m afraid. The rest of the service and stay was great so it’s a shame for this to be an exception.

Jeg kan ikke mærke imødekommenhed hos de fleste medarbejdere, man kan ikke læse deres ansigter om de smiler!!!!’undtagen en meget positiv ting: Janus, som arbejder der, er den eneste, der hjælper og smiler hele tiden. Derudover er der en ung mand, der begyndte at arbejde i receptionen den 17. juli, som også er venlig. Det er et meget dyrt sted i forhold til faciliteter og service. Jeg har været der i 12 nætter, og på min fødselsdag den 16. juli gik jeg til receptionen, som ligger samme sted som restauranten. Jeg kom klokken 10:30, hvor morgenmaden lige var slut (morgenmad er fra 6:30 til 10:30). Jeg var glad og nævnte, at det var min fødselsdag. De sagde blot, at restauranten var lukket, uden nogen anerkendelse, empati eller forståelse for turister! Hotelbranchen handler ikke kun om bygningen eller beliggenheden, den kræver mennesker, som kan kommunikere og vise empati.

Really lovely and helpful staff. The hotel is within walking distance to everything and there is a tram stop outside. Bastion hill is directly across the road and lots of the old town sights right around the corner. The breakfast had fantastic choices and there was free fruit available to take during the day. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was a great size and didnt leak!. I would definitely recommend.this hotel to friends and if i do ever visit Riga again, i wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Very positive hotel stay experience.
