We were in the cottage with the hot tub! It was perfect it had its own coffee maker ( bring your own coffee grounds) electric pan some dishes and a Bbq!

This was an older motel that has been very nicely remodeled and updated. It has a lot of charm. that is so missing these days. It was very clean and quiet with a partial view of the Bay. There is a wonderful peaceful outside seating area with a picnic table for viewing the marina. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The is a gem of a find in this area for the price. So close to some great crab sandwiches, fresh halibut/chips, and sea food. We were able to watch humpback whales just north of town all afternoon. What a relaxing and quiet break. Plenty of parking right in front or our room. This motel is off Hwy 1, but also so quiet. We only were passing through for one night, but we will be back for a longer stay.

We stayed in the "cottage" - an off site and small charming little self-contained unit. King bed, kitchenette, table and chairs, small bathroom with shower. Not luxurious but with every need anticipated. Especially enjoyed the private hot tub and fenced area. Minimal view - but we could see some bay and boats. Excellent value for the price.

The stay was fine. Room clean, comfortable room with a nice deck with ocean view, quite and relaxing stay. Disappointed here was only one small microwave in the office (for all the units to share), must ask to borrow blow-dryers, and the closet had no wooden bar or handers to hang up jackets, sweaters dresses, or shirts. Although I brought a small steamer for clothing, it was pointless. Located by shops and restaurants.

It was a great stay. The only issues that my room was found unlocked. There was an empty water bottle next to the bed and used soap from prior guest in restroom. The place looked exceptionally clean except for these minor things. Love the location and how quiet the area was.

The property is located overlooking the bay. We sat outside and enjoyed the view!! The rooms are clean and furnished in coastal, beach decor. It's a short walk to the little market that is well-stocked with anything and everything! Check in was easy and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay and look forward to coming back!

We stayed 3 nights in the balcony-view unit. (#12) ... Overall...it was somewhat better than we expected...considering the "low" cost. These are older units, but a lot of newer paint, tile work, windows, cabinets.. and a new mattress that was actually changed-out during our stay. The mini-fridge had to be unplugged at night due to its excessive noise. Inconsiderate neighbors on night 2, were a problem...as the tile floors and thin walls conveyed all their noise...plus there is a harbor fog horn that beeps all day and night...maybe that is quaint (?)...by third night we "almost" forgot about it. Easy access to local food and shopping.

The house was clean and looked liked it had been recently updated, especially in the kitchen. Wall was very thin between us and the other unit (Hummingbird units), and the other guests were very noisy during our stay. Hotel office closes early, as did a lot of the dining options around. Overall, a decent option to stay, but not sure of the value for the price we paid.

I really wanted to like this place. We stayed here about 10 years ago, prior to having kids and thought it was great. This time, I was really disappointed. The walls were paper thin. I could hear the conversations and activities (adult activities) of the rooms on either side of us. Not great when you’re laying with your 9 year old to get her to sleep. Honestly I would pay more and stay elsewhere next time.

The room very small, but ok. Tv could really be bigger. Bed was kinda hard. Very clean and the view from outside was nice. Parking is limited, we had to park across from our room on the other side. Friendly staff a plus!

Although it is an alder motel it has a lot of appeal. Cute and quaint, but cold inside. Heater works but not thermostat controlled so it is either on or off. Staff was very nice. Did have some tv connectivity issues. I would stay there again.

george checked us in and was very nice! even let us check in early. Parking spot in front of our room had cones and unfortunately our neighbors had large vehicles so we had to park in front of the rooms across the way, so it was a bit inconvenient. Room was nice and clean, and the heater kept us nice and toasty.

Steve at the front desk was very cheerful and helpful. His positive attitude and effort is what customer service is all about. The property is from a different generation, much like what you would find in most small beach/costal towns decades ago, but it looks like the ownership is making an effort to remodel the rooms and keep the motel comfortable & appealing for its customers. We love to stay in unique, privately owned motels when we can. It’s a nice change from the corporate owned chain franchises that you find along every freeway in the US. Our room, #14, was very clean, quiet, and had a nice view of Bodega Harbor. There were a couple of colorful Adirondack chairs on the front porch. There are also plenty of places to sit on the common area of lawn. Plenty of easy parking right next to your room. It would be great if the owners/manager could put a blow dryer in the room & maybe upgrade the rooms heater. There is a small store / deli right next to the motel that has just about everything a full size grocery would stock. Plenty of restaurants near by with excellent seafood & beverages. This was our first stay at the Bodega Harbor Inn, but not the last. We will be be back, hopefully very soon.
