The Paramar Beachfront Boutique Hotel With Breakfast Included - Downtown Malecon

We really liked that the beach is a few steps across the street and you can get chairs and umbrellas from the hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the free breakfast is amazing! We didn't like that the pool area is kind of small and you can't really get pool service. It doesn't feel like you're at a resort, but it's what you get for a rooftop pool. The food at lunch by the pool is amazing. The surrounding area of the hotel is kind of dirty, but never did we feel unsafe. It's a great location for walking to the Malecon and to several restaurants. It's the 2nd time we have stayed here due to it's location. One downside is that you cannot flush toilet paper down the toilet so you have to put it in a garbage can which takes a little getting used to.

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel truly welcomed—kind, personable, and always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast was a daily highlight: cooked fresh to order from a menu and served on a gorgeous outdoor terrace surrounded by greenery. I made it a relaxing morning ritual! My room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly clean. Thoughtful touches like a beach bag to borrow, an aroma diffuser, and an Alexa speaker made the stay feel extra special. The AC worked perfectly, and I appreciated the energy-saving key system. The location couldn’t be better—the beach is literally right across the street! Beach chairs and umbrellas were complimentary, and you can swap out beach towels 24/7 at the front desk. When I needed a break from the sand, the rooftop pool was perfect—open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with comfy lounge chairs and a great restaurant/bar. Additionally, the hotel was walking distance (~3-5mins) to a bunch of yummy restaurants and taco/burrito spots! I loved it so much that I extended my stay for an additional 2 nights, and they let me stay in the room rather than check out/in! Every detail of this hotel felt intentional, making my stay both relaxing and memorable. I can’t wait to come back!

Good location in front of camarones beach. Good breakfast. You have to cross a small street and an empty lot to get to the beach. The beach is quieter than los muertos beach and close to Malecon (5 blocks or so). It was rainy so it got some trash, but the city cleaned it within a day. We stayed in floor 1 (2nd for Americans), the view would be better in upper floors. The rooftop pool and view are great! There is a hot tub but it’s only for penthouse guests for some reason.

This was an amazing property- the staff was so friendly and lovely! The pool is not heated, so it was a little cool in January, but cooled you off for sure!

We loved it . We stayed here only one night during our 8 day stay in Mexico. Very clean. Nice rooms with enough space. The mattresses are comfortable. The balcony is very nice and has a beautiful view of the ocean . The breakfast is good and the green juice is so yummy. They greeted us with delicious popsicles during our check in. They also gave us a bottle of wine. We will definitely stay here again. I like that it is a smaller hotel. The free parking is gated and so convenient.

We will absolutely stay here again when visiting Puerto Vallarta in the future.

It was a very relaxing quiet oasis off the main boardwalk but not too far from everything that Puerto Vallarta has to offer. The staff was proactive and kind. Their complimentary breakfast was delicious and green juice to look forward to each morning. I would come back again to this property because of the laid back vibe. The pool with the view of playa camarones was breathtaking, the rooftop bar snack was all fresh to order. I wanted to stay away from screaming kids in the pool so this was the perfect stay for those looking for quieter atmosphere.

This hotel has a strict no-refund policy, which we learned the hard way when we made a date change within 6 hours of booking and forfeited the first night's fee. On the positive side, the staff are friendly, the room is immaculately clean, and the rooftop pool offers stunning ocean views. However, the pool is not heated, and the ocean water clarity was not great, so we didn't end up swimming in it. For our next stay, we'll opt for a more luxurious hotel with heated pools and a hot tub.

Beautiful room, very friendly staff, good amenities. Unfortunately the elevator was broken throughout our stay and it’s not ideal for us to walk up to the third floor after a very long day. Ocean view is stunning and this isn’t a critique to the hotel rather informing other travelers that the direct beach access is not usable because the beach itself is unsafe and contaminated. The beach towels they lend you are not in the best condition and they charge 20 USD if you lose them.

Everything was exceptional and the breakfast was on point. The only thing is the elevator was not working and we were on the 4th floor. I got my stair steps, so it's ok, but not when we needed to bring up things to the bedroom.

the room was spotless. the staff, attentive, informative, friendly, courteous and helpful. They were very eager to make our stay most wonderful.

My room was spacious with a gorgeous ocean view, a spacious balcony to sit and enjoy the crashing waves, and so conveniently located. And the staff was super nice. My only negatives were tiny ants in the kitchen and the shower door didn’t keep water out of the bathroom, requiring a giant towel to sop up the water dripping out.

Misael and Bianca were truly amazing checking me and and helping me with any all my questions during this trip the hotel was fantastic with a beautiful ocean front view and spotlessly clean

This hotel was amazing from the moment I arrived. Supper helpful staff made me feel welcome right off the bat. My room was spotless and housekeeping was immaculate would come when I was out. The view from the room was spectacular and the location perfect for a restful vacation. They supplied umbrellas and chairs for the beach and beach towels to make the beach very accessible. The roof top pool and snack bar was nice to have for easy access to relaxation and comfort. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to others. Thank you so much:)

This is a pleasant hotel. But for what we paid, over $350 Canadian per night, I would have expected more. We had a city view room, rather dark, with a squeaky older mattress. The room could have been cleaner. On the positive side there was a nice hot breakfast on a patio, a nice pool deck, and the staff were friendly.

There are so many good things about this hotel. Staff and service is impeccable. The breakfast they offer is very nice, made to order with a few vegan options. The pool and area by it is very nice, quiet and great views. But our room was 101 and right next to a private property that was being remodeled. We had hammering and drilling from 8:30 to 6pm everyday. So we basically couldn’t use our room during the day. The view is partially cut off because of the angle of the building. Being a VIP I would have hoped they would have put us in another room as far away from that noise and with a better view to say the least. They were not sold out when we got there! There is a bar across the street that gets going a couple of nights each week but that really wasn’t too bad in comparison to the constant pounding. The other problem was with the hot water. I couldn’t take a full Shower without losing the hot water. I had them check it and he said he had to turn it back on? It was a little better but never a full shower of hot water. The kitchen stove wouldn’t turn on and I had to ask for matches or a lighter to use it. We got ants in the cupboards even with the food in ziplocks. They say they have beachfront lounges but they are the Costco folding chairs and umbrella sets they sold this summer. You have to put them up yourself. It is just across the street from the beach, not in the beach. Their description of the hotel is very misleading. I did like the smaller hotel vibe.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and knowledgeable of area attractions. We had stayed here a couple years ago and we were pleasantly surprised that the place has been very well maintained!! Will stay here again!

King Room sea view was an awesome room and view of the ocean. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast offered had many options and was made to order. Rooftop pool was a beautiful place to chill and the bar/grill was excellent food and bevies! Check in staff were excellent…. A well oiled machine there! Excellent location, close to all amenities

Wonderful stay at this hotel. Much nicer then I even anticipated. Breakfast that was included was a choice of hot drinks, choice of juices and then a choice fron the Al la carte menu. All was delicious. The pool was clean and the seats were plentiful n very comfortable with lots of umbrellas. There was a bar ( that could of opened earlier IMO) that had great dribks at a reasonable price. The rooms were cleaned daily, kitchen was well equipped and whole unit for more modern then I expected. The view from balconey was wonderful and patio furniture was great to din outside or morning coffee. The staff was friendly and efficient. Id def recommend this hotel.

The Paramar offers guests the ability to make simple meals within there rooms by offering a full fridge, microwave and cooktop complete with cooking equipment and dishes. The rooms are a little dated but very comfortable with each room having a private balcony. The rooftop pool is heated and offers gorgeous sunsets and a happy hour. The area is walkable to the Malecon and the beach is directly across the street. The area features several small restaurants and feels very safe.

The Paramar exceeded our expectations in every way. This hotel is located walking distance to the Malecon and many shops and grocery stores in the area as well as a small bar and grill and other restaurants close by. It was quiet, quaint, and extremely clean. Our room was cleaned and restocked with fresh towels every single day. The staff were phenomenal, attentive and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and is included with your stay. Our beach front view was amazing and we had perfect views of the sunset every evening. There aren’t enough good things to say about this hotel. If you want an authentic experience in Puerto Vallarta you won’t be disappointed.

Nice little gem, but I would stay away from renting Penthouse 2. There is no privacy because it is located in front of the pool and the blinds are see-through, straight into the rooms.

Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. Only thing is my room was directly in front of the pool (grand penthouse), so there was no privacy. In addition, almost every night I couldn’t sleep peacefully from the noise I hear outside possibly from the people cleaning the pool area - not sure.

While the location of the hotel is great; everything is within walking distance. We stayed in a premium suite, 208. The bathroom sink had a leak and smelled like sewer. The television would only connect to the internet in the morning to be able to watch Netflix. It’s very noisy during the night time. the beach is very rocky which my kids disliked. Our stay was during winter season but the pool was also very very cold. Again, location is great. Rooms are just a bit outdated, and a bigger tv would be nice.

What I liked least: * Noisy AC unit outside the room could be heard inside. * Bright cold white lights. * Bare, drab room style * The breakfast menu is good and extensive. However the truth is "you receive one option of one drink and one option for one item to eat," not a free breakfast. For example if you want oatmeal AND fruit you pay for one of them. Coffee AND juice - you pay for one. * Hot and humid in the reception and breakfast area with zero fans or AC.

Absolutely amazing! Someone else reviewed and said it the phots were not real, etc. I can tell you first hand they are real, it’s absolutely amazing!! Location couldn’t be better, beautiful views, amazing staff— and the location can’t be beat! Only negative things are the tvs are a little small and internet can be sketchy at times.. but besides those 2 things, I plan on staying there again in a few months.

Fantastic roof top pool with a spectacular view. Great location. Pool snack bar was wonderful. Rooms are big. Beds are very hard. Nearby bar blasts music until midnight but roof top pool made up for it.

The state was wonderful and a prime location right at the beginning of the walkable Malecon area. The staff was great, especially the staff at the pool, very friendly and gracious. However, I did not appreciate their very strict, no guest policy especially because not every member of my room was accounted for, considering the fact that my party had interchanging guests (never more than the total capacity of the room, 4 people). We were questioned about the guests which made it feel like the facilities management was on the lookout to see who I arrived with. This was not very welcoming to our party of myself, it felt overbearing, and a honestly a hassle to deal with. I wish they would have more accommodating/understanding policies.

Rude customer service. Horrible we had to wait 50 minutes just to check in. Once we did get our room, we were told here is a towel since the floor is wet. The mini-split was leaking. We were able to park our car inside after been told it we were able too.

Clean, well maintained room and property. Pretty boutique-style hotel. Directly across from beach. Tons of restaurants, shops, and services nearby. Very friendly and professional staff. Another reviewer said area was dirty. We didn’t feel that at all and always felt safe. The neighborhood is a local/tourist mix. It’s authentic and charming. If you’re expecting a generic high-end resort vibe, go elsewhere.

This property was very clean, the staff was very courteous and accommodating, the breakfast was nice, and the location was very close to many sights and activities. The rooftop pool was pretty and the water was inviting. It was nice to hear the ocean waves from our room, and we were given a better view than the room we chose due to the air conditioning unit being repaired in the room we had previously selected. We enjoyed our short stay here and would definitely recommend staying here.

This was my worst hotel experience in my life. I booked a room thru expedia for new years weekend and was a room for up to 4 people. I check in alone. I left and came back after a shift change and 1 person is left for the night and hes new and never saw me before. He catches me entering thru lobby and stops me. After looking up the room hes saying i have others in my room that are checked in and over the 4 limit. The guy was sweating allot and was not backing down, would not call the manager and wanted me to come back 10am to talk to the manager about it. I had to call expedia and try to get relocated. Expedia left me stranded at 1am wothout a room and not willing to relocate me after being lied to by the hotel guy that he has me recorded checking in with other men and said all their signatures are on the checkin form. Both were lies, confirmed by the manager the next day that only my signature was on the form and she watched the video of the lobby checkin and i was alone, nobody in the room, no signatures or names other than mine. The manager came in the next day to talk to me about this on her day off after the next front desk shift started and they called her about the problem. She said the guy has been with them 10 days and not going to be there anymore. I had to pay for another hotel that night. Never could i believe this would happen and crazy expedia would leave me stranded in mexico 1am with no wifi out on the street with no room with being denied relocation.

Staff was amazing Misael, Francisco and Jesus were so helpful. Carlos who delivered our food and Angela (?) in housekeeping always greeted us with a smile. View was unbeatable. Walking distance to Centro. Only downside was the bar across the street could get a bit noisy.

I felt very safe here as a solo traveler. The views were stunning! Being right on the ocean is absolutely amazing and I heard it as I fell asleep each night. Bed is comfortable. The staff is so friendly and hospitable. Excellent location close to Malecon and food choices. I was able to relax more than I ever have on a vacation. I would highly recommend this place!

The Paramar is off the main hub of the Malecon in a great location across the beach. It was safe to walk everywhere. It was clean and the breakfast is more than adequate. The rooftop pool is nice and they serve good drinks and food. The staff is awesome! The only down fall was the bar on the weekends plays music till 2am, on floors 1 & 2 it’s very loud. Other than that it was 5 stars!

Very Welcoming Staff, clean and spacious room, great Pool/Bar/Food and BARTENDER. Beach is right across from the hotel…!!! Plus, the morning breakfast was extremely tasty and staff was very pleasant!

Great boutique hotel! Only suggestion I have is to expand the restaurant beyond breakfast.
