Clean comfy hotel. Staff are quite helpful and accommodating. Room was spacious clean and comfortable. Hot home made breakfast, none of that microwave eggs and precooked bacon junk a lot of places use. Only bummers at this property are that there's no ice or vending on the ground floor. Only second and third floors and all the way at opposite ends of the halls. And they only have one designated guest entry point, the main entrance. The back door is exit only 😂 which makes it inconvenient for folks who travel with an excessive amount of luggage. I am one of those people lol

Only down fall was the elevator was not working .Employees had no idea as to when the elevator would get fixed. Really makes it hard for people with disabilities.

The hotel is average. However, the staff is AWESOME! They will go out of their way to accommodate you. The conversation with the front desk gentleman was so pleasing. The shuttle to and from the Fair was right on time. I would stay here again just because of the staff.

Front desk concierge Corrina was friendly, helpful and informative. Staff was always smiling and kind. Fitness room was convenient and quiet. Good location/parking. The only problem I had is the breakfast offerings were lean. I'm not a big fan of biscuits and gravy and wish there would have been some basic protein, like pork sausage and eggs, in the breakfast.

For the price, this was fine. If you are looking for a pool, or other amenities, they are lacking. Location allowed me to walk to the Lincoln Museum, Library and Pub/Restaurant. Walking down 5th street was a little sketchy, 6th was better. Front desk fought me when I requested late check out due to rental car delay-but last at front desk was nice enough to go up to my room and gather my suitcase and stuff and put behind front desk.

One of the rooms had a musty smell and the tub and shower had mold all around the edges. The other room was out of soap and shampoo. Also the carpet beside the bed was peeling away from the wall. Wouldn’t recommend. We stayed a couple of years back and no issues but this time will be our last.

Room had dirty and soiled linens, carpet had not been swept, dirty bathroom and room was next to the only elevator which was noisy. Requested a cleaned room, got switched and that room was same condition only along with soiled, stained and dirty bedding, the ottoman had fresh bodily fluids in it and the ac unit vents were clogged with debris, food, mold and black mold. Requested refund and never heard back from management. I have plenty of pictures of both rooms to prove unsanitary conditions.

Our stay here was subpar. Elevator reeked of freshly smoked cannabis, old debris and trash under the beds and in corners of bathroom. Room keeping (a male) tried to barge in at 8 am by beginning to unlock the door as he announced that he was staff. I had 2 young ladies and my girlfriend changing or in bed at the time. I had to dash to get to the door and close it in time before he opened it and I was already standing nearby.

The hotel itself is managed very well and all the staff was friendly. The hotel is very clean as well are the rooms. I'll be staying there again on my next trip to Springfield. The only drawback i have is the helicopter traffic from the nearby hospital.

This hotel was nice for the money. The beds were comfortable and the staff was really friendly. The breakfast had hot options which was nice. The location was close to attractions. The only complaint is the room smelled a little funky like it may have had pets previously, but it was tolerable.

Overall it was a nice stay. It was super close to the state fair which is why we were there. The main problem was outside noise. I sleep with ear plugs and I still heard police sirens several times throughout the night. I think soundproof windows would be a great investment.

I was in town for a conference at the BOS center and it was close and easy to find. The rooms are not too sound proof as I could hear the helicopters and sirens for nearby hospital late into the night. Front desk staff was friendly and provided a coupon for Papa John’s Pizza upon check in. That was really handy. Hotel isn’t new but it was clean and worked for me for a one night stay.

There was some initial confusion at check in, when we were given a room that was still occupied. However the staff was great at switching out our rooms and putting us in another (unoccupied) space. :)

Room was very clean. We walked right in off the street and had to call someone up to register us. That was not upsetting at that time. But when we went out a little later to get something to eat and we came back and again no one was ever at the desk. This happened again later. The area is very dark around there and anyone, homeless or other could walk right in. I did not feel safe.

The motel was very good, the staff on days were exceptional. The third shift staff were also very good. The second shift person working the front desk was rude and disrespectful to guests. He sat in the dark and look at his cell phone and was not responsive to guests.

Carina (sp?) worked the desk on Friday of my stay and was super accommodating. Early in the day, i injured my knee and called desk to ask if they had any waterproof bag or something I could use to hold ice for my knee. Carina brought an ice pack to my room, as well as zip-lock bags to hold ice. She then went and filled 1 of the bag with ice from ice machine for me so I did not have to overuse my knee. When she discovered that the in-room refrigerator had no freezer compartment, she changed out my frig for another one with a freezer - to re-freeze the ice pack and to keep ice frozen. She did all this in about 10 minutes time. She was amazing. Thank you Carina!!

Nice hotel and friendly staff. It was convenient to all Lincoln sites. However, it was in an area frequented by homeless people. Some were sitting around the hotel and in the parking lot. Would not have felt safe if traveling alone.

I don't understand the rave reviews of this property. The neighbor to the east is a level one trauma center that has helicopters flying overhead and ambulances running lights and blaring sirens all hours of the day and night. The neighbor to the west is a soup kitchen. The property is decaying, the breakfast is at best - fuel. I've had two chiropractor visits since getting home because the bed was a joke. The only thing it has going for it is the staff - they were very nice.

I stay at this hotel every time I am in Springfield. It is right on the edge of the downtown area, so lots of food options in the area. I usually visit Springfield for the Illinois State Fair in August, and this hotel is only a 5-minute drive from the fairgrounds. Always reasonably priced compared to several other hotels in the area. It's a bit older than some, but as long as you aren't looking for anything real modern or fancy, it is a solid stay.

Great location. Hotel is within a pleasant walking distance, 10 to 20 minutes, ofat least five resturants, Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library, Museum and the Lincoln Home. The hotel's Sunday breakfast during my overnight stay was biscuits and gravy which I thought was quite good. Biscuits were flaky and moist. Ther was also the make your own waffle,yougart and apples and mandarin oranges as a fresh fruit option. Niether I nor my husband had a comfortable night's sleep. The bed was bumpy, hard and the pillows were lumpy. Please invest in new bedding.

Hotel was nice actually lol, looks just like the photos. Came down to Springfield from Chicago for a work conference for 3 days. Bed was comfortable (I slept like a baby), room was clean, bathroom was clean, front desk staff was very nice. Breakfast wasn’t all that but it’s not the Hilton so I didn’t care that much. Would recommend you staying here and I would stay here again myself.

Property would be 5 stars if they put effort into their breakfast. 1st day was French toast sticks from Walmart and cold brown and serve sausage cold. Disgusting. Hardly any bread dried out bagels. Wasn’t looking for buffet even few muffins cold juice in machine hot eggs or even edible sausage.
