Stayed 1 night

Check in took over an hour to find a room that was ready. We went to 4 different rooms. In fact after the 3rd one we left tor dinner and got a room finally after return. First room had flooded Bathroom. 2nd wasn’t cleaned. 3rd room was severely lacking in maintenance and key wouldn’t work. All of the rooms had filthy bathrooms. Some of the pillows were pitifully old and worn. Throw rugs were practically worn all the way through. Curtains looked like a cat had torn them to shreds in one of the rooms. Paint was peeling on the walls. Towels were very old and some had holes in them and there was only one in each room for a reservation for 2. The shower floors were disgustingly dirty and knobs and handles missing on shower doors. Shower had an old piece of a bar of soap melted into the shelf. The staff was trying but every single one of them was doing more than one job. It was pathetic. The security person seemed to also be a maid and receptionist. The rooms are ancient but if they were better taken care of, they could have a lot of charm. The breakfast didn’t seem great when we got down there but once we found the room off to the side with a cook for eggs, we got great omelettes. But it seemed like the cook was also the bus boy and waiter and no way he could be expected to keep up with it all. The location of this hotel, the effort of the limited staff, and the water pressure in the shower were the only positives. Maintenance from start to finish was pathetic. Shameful Management

Perfect location with walking distance safely to most places. Great restaurants and shopping and the hotel is like a typical little old Mexico City hotel but perfect for shorter visits.
