...!!! WARNING!!!... This place is dump. It is not in anyway a hotel. Could not find anything to like about this building, it's on it's last leg's and sooner they are kicked away the better. The staircase is a nightmare, very tight with many trip hazard, and very poorly lighting, the room was dirty and in very poor condition ,bed old and worn out bed linen had holes in it, the bathroom had mildew and a shower door that didn't open properly, the door to the bathroom had clear glass window. The bedroom had electric wires hanging out the wall ...I could go on...you have been Warned

Location is very good. 2 blocks from Notre Dame. this is a very old building with difficult stairway access and floor plan. I could not check-in the day I arrived by train in Paris until 9PM and Expedia charged me an extra $300. since the front desk was closed after 8 PM. I called a day in advance to arrange my check-in and got screwed for $300. As things turned out, I received instructions for access by email, but still lost the $300. Not happy!

Es ist ein kleines Hotel in super Lage. Dass kein Fahrstuhl vorhanden ist, war bekannt. Das Personal war nett. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer, in dem das Mobiliar etwas zusammengewürfelt war, riesiger Tisch, Vitrine ohne Funktion, Kommode, leider nur 1 Sessel. Hier fehlt definitiv eine 2. Sitzgelegenheit, denn man möchte auch mal zu zweit richtig sitzen und nicht auf dem Bett hängen. Das Bett selbst war sehr gut, schön breit und bequem. Leider war direkt daneben die Schiebetür zum Bad. Diese Tür ruiniert jede Ruhe, nachts und am Tag - sie quietscht beim Auf- und Zuschieben fürchterlich. Die Vorhänge hängen mit nicht haltenden Haken an stumpfen Holzringen, die sich auf einer stumpfen Stange nicht ziehen, sondern hin- und herruckeln lassen. Die Vorhänge sind zu schmal für die Fenster. Zimmerreinigung erfolgte auf Nachfrage an der Rezeption, die benutzten Gläser wurden nicht getauscht, es fehlte ein Handtuch. Das Bad mit Fenster zum Zimmer, nachträglich eingebaut, ist ganz witzig. Die Scheibe kann mit einem Vorhang von außen verdeckt werden. Es sind keine Becher und Kosmetiktücher vorhanden, aber ein Fön und sehr gutes Duschgel. Durch die dunklen Holzbalken ist es sehr dunkel im Zimmer und wird durch eine Stehlampe und 2 Nachttischlampen nicht viel heller. Die Badbeleuchtung anzulassen, brachte auch nicht viel. Trotz allem war es ein schöner Aufenthalt, der durch die zentrale Lage und das bequeme Bett punktete. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The only nice thing about this hotel is the location. Everything else is TERRIBLE. Please, stay away from it. To start the pictures you see ... NOT AT ALL. The place needs to be demolished. Good luck going upstairs with your luggage!!!! Our bathroom was full of mold, the bathtub is a challenge to get in or out and water barely comes out of you mini shower head. You can hear people coming in and out of the stairs (which are extremely narrow and dangerous) and that is the nicest thing I can say about it. Our not king size bed headboard was part of the exorcist movie and duck tape is everywhere.. yes, I have pictures to prove all of these issues, except the neighbors noise! For the (over) price you pay, you could do a lot better.. I am fighting this one with Expedia!

Il primo impatto non è dei migliori... piccola entrata vicino ad un ristorante dismesso e interno della reception piccolo e triste; fortunatamente la camera è l'opposto con ben tre finestre ampia e luminosa e con due lavandini in bagno. La posizione è eccellente proprio di fianco a Notre Dame. La colazione è spartana ma buona, il wi-fi eccellente. Non c'è ascensore e la regolazione della temperatura in camera non è facile se desideri avere meno caldo. letto molto confortevole

This small hotel, right opposite Notre Dame, is over 200 years old, still containing the old beamed staircase and ceilings. Getting in and out is fairly cramped, but the rooms are a decent size. The rooms are clean, though not serviced daily (which we actually preferred). The breakfast is big and good value, though only served after 8.30 during the week and after 9 at weekends (which was a bit late for us).

You are centrally located! Almost literally across the street from the Notre Dame! Everything is close by. The room is so charming! The window light was just perfect! But… you are on top of a bar. On weekends this will be LOUD! So sleeping with your windows open may need ear plugs. The staircase is EXTREMELY narrow, so be prepared for that when walking up. Overall… it was a wonderful experience!

Definitivamente regresaré. Esta muy cerca de Notre Dame, a una cuadra de Av St Michel que está repleta de restaurantes, farmacias, supermercados y boulangeries. Es muy fácil moverse desde ahí a todo Paris. La habitación estaba limpia, de buena tamaño y la cama super cómoda. El personal del hotel muy amable. Realmente este hotel tuvo lo que siempre busco: comodidad, limpieza, excelente precio y ubicación. Llegué caminando de Gare de Lyon que está a 30 minutes a pie.
Definitivamente regresaré. Esta muy cerca de Notre Dame, a una cuadra de Av St Michel que está repleta de restaurantes, farmacias, supermercados y boulangeries. Es muy fácil moverse desde ahí a todo Paris. La habitación estaba limpia, de buena tamaño y la cama super cómoda. El personal del hotel muy amable. Realmente este hotel tuvo lo que siempre busco: comodidad, limpieza, excelente precio y ubicación. Llegué caminando de Gare de Lyon que está a 30 minutes a pie.

We stayed here before, so were prepared for nothing fancy... but the bathroom was really moldy, shower doors rickety and glass missing, etc. and cigarette smoke was coming in from somewhere. If we kept the door closed all the time we could minimize the smell in the room, but the whole thing was so small it was difficult. Very dark - I had to use my iphone flashlight to see into the closet. Staff friendly. Rates super low, location great. But that bathroom was bad.

We were so amazed at how beautiful our room was!! We were on the 4th floor and then opened the door to a truly beautiful and wonderfully restored historical hotel. The sheets and bedding and bed were luxury! The room was large and elegant - and the bathroom was so beautifully well done with tile and rock accents. And- the location!! Steps from Notre Dame! The reception was so friendly!! Beautiful stay in Paris!

Zimmerreinigung erfolgte auf Nachfrage an der Rezeption, die benutzten Gläser wurden nicht getauscht, es fehlte ein Handtuch. Das Bad mit Fenster zum Zimmer, nachträglich eingebaut, ist ganz witzig. Die Scheibe kann mit einem Vorhang von außen verdeckt werden. Es sind keine Becher und Kosmetiktücher vorhanden, aber ein Fön und sehr gutes Duschgel. Durch die dunklen Holzbalken ist es sehr dunkel im Zimmer und wird durch eine Stehlampe und 2 Nachttischlampen nicht viel heller. Die Badbeleuchtung anzulassen, brachte auch nicht viel. Trotz allem war es ein schöner Aufenthalt, der durch die zentrale Lage und das bequeme Bett punktete. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
Es ist ein kleines Hotel in super Lage. Dass kein Fahrstuhl vorhanden ist, war bekannt. Das Personal war nett. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer, in dem das Mobiliar etwas zusammengewürfelt war, riesiger Tisch, Vitrine ohne Funktion, Kommode, leider nur 1 Sessel. Hier fehlt definitiv eine 2. Sitzgelegenheit, denn man möchte auch mal zu zweit richtig sitzen und nicht auf dem Bett hängen. Das Bett selbst war sehr gut, schön breit und bequem. Leider war direkt daneben die Schiebetür zum Bad. Diese Tür ruiniert jede Ruhe, nachts und am Tag - sie quietscht beim Auf- und Zuschieben fürchterlich. Die Vorhänge hängen mit nicht haltenden Haken an stumpfen Holzringen, die sich auf einer stumpfen Stange nicht ziehen, sondern hin- und herruckeln lassen. Die Vorhänge sind zu schmal für die Fenster. The only nice thing about this hotel is the location. Everything else is TERRIBLE. Please, stay away from it. To start the pictures you see ... NOT AT ALL. The place needs to be demolished. Good luck going upstairs with your luggage!!!! Our bathroom was full of mold, the bathtub is a challenge to get in or out and water barely comes out of you mini shower head. You can hear people coming in and out of the stairs (which are extremely narrow and dangerous) and that is the nicest thing I can say about it. Our not king size bed headboard was part of the exorcist movie and duck tape is everywhere.. yes, I have pictures to prove all of these issues, except the neighbors noise! For the (over) price you pay, you could do a lot better.. I am fighting this one with Expedia!

On weekends this will be LOUD! So sleeping with your windows open may need ear plugs. The staircase is EXTREMELY narrow, so be prepared for that when walking up. Overall… it was a wonderful experience!

Location is very good. 2 blocks from Notre Dame. this is a very old building with difficult stairway access and floor plan. I could not check-in the day I arrived by train in Paris until 9PM and Expedia charged me an extra $300. since the front desk was closed after 8 PM. I called a day in advance to arrange my check-in and got screwed for $300. As things turned out, I received instructions for access by email, but still lost the $300. Not happy!

So much potential here but so poorly run and managed . The location is fantastic and the rooms had potential. However no air conditioning in a 4 th floor 200 year old timber structure with windows facing the street full of bars and revellers make for loud and hot nights with little sleep. The bed was comfortable with some space . The room had one small closet. Our 4 night stay was without internet and no one really cared. The so called lobby was closed so long people had to drag luggage out down narrow stairs to a hallway to get to the street. The manager was rarely there and often left a young student in charge . They battled each other for lowest level of interest, assistance and customer service. Again so much potential here but no one seemed to care.

We stayed here before, so were prepared for nothing fancy... but the bathroom was really moldy, shower doors rickety and glass missing, etc. and cigarette smoke was coming in from somewhere. If we kept the door closed all the time we could minimize the smell in the room, but the whole thing was so small it was difficult.
