Included breakfast options were nice. All common areas clean. Beds comfy. Beach access and view from pool/restaurant a plus. AC worked well. Staff tried to be accommodating. Tiki bar not open nor in operating condition. Pool very worn & dated with missing tiles and paint. For anyone with mobility or accessibility considerations, may not be ideal.

Pool was closed for repairs. Oceanfront rooms are loud, unable to sleep with the loud beach bar music playing. Great location on the beach. Staff was wonderful. Bar food and drinks were great.

Fantastic location, we arrived really early and they allowed us to check in which was really great. Room was fine and adequate. Pool, sun loungers and umbrellas were a bit dated and could probably do with renewing. Out of season the bar and restaurant is closed on a Wednesday.

We loved staying here it was a nice peaceful place not far from the jaco strip. We rented bikes from the property and u are also able to rent surf boards. It was nice to be able to walk down to the beach with ease day or night. They had Secerity making this property safe. Walter was a fantastic manager and always stopped to make sure we were having a good time. My fiancée preposed to me here, so we will def be back!

This was a nice beachfront hotel at a good value. Staff was really nice and the food at the restaurant was good (but expensive). I really liked this hotel. If I could make suggestions for improvement it would be to offer beach towels or lounge chairs. They give you pool and shower towels but warn you not to use them at beach. I've never stayed in a 4 star beach hotel before that didn't have lounge chairs/ umbrellas on the beach or beach towels. I would stay again.

This place is not worth the money. They dont provide the services they advertise. There is no spa with different massages. There are no yoga classes. They showcase different services to get you through the door but dont provide them. In the first room they gave me, i spotted 4 lizards and over 10 small roaches. They switched me to a different room after but I did not enjoy the stay.

This is not a 4 star resort!. It is at best a 3 star hotel as many in the area, but way more expensive. Check-in is at 3 p.m. and check out at 11:00 a.m., which is very inconvenient. We waited by the small swimming pool in a very hot and humid day. Unfortunately I did not check on this before I booked it. We arrived at the hotel at 1:00 p.pm and checked in but they would not give us the key to the "suite" until 3:00 p.m. "because of the policy". When we got to the room, it was steaming hot. It took over half an hour to reduce the room temperature to 22 degrees. There was one hand towel and a bath towel. We had to go downstairs to ask for towels and we were provided with an additional bath towel. The room was a standard 3 star hotel room with a jacuzzi in between the bed and the bathroom area. Poorly designed and average in quality finishing. No additional decorations or confort items.

We arrived early and the hotel were very inflexible about permitting an early check in despite the hotel not being very busy. Communication was difficult as reception staff did not speak English and there appeared to be no management on site. When finally allowed to enter the room discovered that the shower taps were broken. Could not be fixed so had to move to another room that was not the same as the one booked several months in advance. Safe in the new room did not work and attempts to fix it and replace it with another failed leaving us without a safe.Purchases at the bar/restaurant could not be charged to the room and had to be paid each time used. Restaurant closed at 6.00pm without notice and without a car there was no alternative resaurant nearby. Room was not cleaned and replacement towels had to be requested from reception. I am sorry with the poor review as the location and facilities are very good and the young staff tried hard to resolve issues, even though there was a distinct absence of management. The appearenace of the hotel was marred by the numerous signs around the hotel on most walls stating what could and could not be done.

Stayed two nights. Hotel is nice but a little run down. Staff was great. Location on the beach was key for swimming, surfing and sunsets. Beach chairs are extra $ (they should be included as a hotel guest). Had several meals at Tiki Bar on premises and food was good, as were the drinks.

This was a great place to stay in Jaco. Its just south of town so its more laid back and quiet but close to everything. The staff was nice and the restaurant on site has good food. Theres a little restaurant and store across the street that made things easy as well.

We had booked the room with balcony and first night did not get it. Was put in a room on second floor and the ceiling in the shower was full of mold to the point we did not use the shower. We received the room we booked with a balcony the 2nd night. In this room, we stayed for 4 nights and only asked for room to be cleaned once as we kept it clean ourselves. Our bed was made not changed, never left us with new coffee and sugar but did leave us with clean towels. We felt it was not cleaned the way it should have been for only bothering them once. Employees at reception desk were very sweet and helpful.

The room was clean but the sofa showed heavy use. Food & drinks from the restaurant were very good. The safe was broken. The shower was hot & had good pressure. Overall it was good value for the cost of a room.

The staff was amazing but the facilities need help. Honesty the people were incredible. Prices at the tiki bar were a bit more than expeacted but you get to eat watching the beach. The bad news is we had to move rooms as there was mold on the walls likely do to what looked to be a leak from the upstairs. The new room also had some mold but not as much. Just bought lysol and cleaned the walls (we have 2 under 4 years). Who ever owns it needs to put some serious money into fixing up the facilities.

Property is located beach front in a quiet & nice area of Jaco beach. We rented a beach front view that had a nice view of the ocean and could hear the waves break, which was really nice to go to sleep. However, the suite was one of the dirtiest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. There was cobwebs on every corner of the room and sand & dirt all over the floors.

Staff was nice. They cleaned the room often. I couldn't find evidence of mold clean up. The staff told me that the humidifier was because the room Was just painted and not due to mold. I stayed in room 15. Room 15 did not have much of a view. After 10 pm you have to call security to let your drive back on the premise. The place was safe and clean.

We originally rented the 2 bedroom apartment upon arrival I'm going to the apartment. We were very unhappy.. The apartment was very dirty and very unsettling with an awful smell. The front desk was very accommodating and was able to move us to two separate rooms facing the ocean. The rooms were cleaner, but very tight on space for us. The bed was like a brick there were bugs in the bathtub and the sink drain.

The first night we were put in room 12. It is disgusting. Mold everywhere even in the AC unit blowing directly on the bed. The bed frame margins and the matress were filthy. The sheets tucked into the filth of the bedframe. The bathroom filthy and moldy and when i went to use the hand towel it was dirty with dried stuck on rice and food. Reception leaves by 8pm so no one to help. The next morning Steven at reception was kind and seems he hears this a lot he immediately said he will move us to another room JR. SUITE. Which was nice. He said we would not be charged for the first night but he would not provide a reciept or anything written. I have yet to recieve an email that he said would be sent for the refund. The beach is great but unsafe at night. Steven was kind but clearly property lacks management. I would not recommend staying here. This is more like a 2star hotel or motel.

This is a beautiful property on the beach. But… I payed for an upgraded room. When we arrived there was no coffee maker in the room. This was clearly stated in the details. When I asked for a coffee maker the staff told me they didn’t have one. All of the other rooms had coffee makers. There are no refrigerators in the rooms either. The female wait staff at the tiki bar are unprofessional and rude. The food is expensive and not very good. We asked to speak to a manager but there was no manager on site apparently that entire week. Will never stay here again.

Das Zimmer ist in Ordnung,das Bad groß genug, ausreichend Wasserdruck.Es gibt Platz im Zimmer,eine Couch,ein Tisch und eine kleine Kaffeemaschine.Das Bett ist ausreichend groß, allerdings ist die Matratze total durchgelegen,wie eine Hängematte.Das fand ich sehr unbequem. Das Hotel war nicht mal ein Viertel ausgebucht aber gleich neben uns wurde eine laute Großfamilie einquartiert,das empfanden wir als störend.Auch lief am Pool die ganze Zeit Musik,das nervt.Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, allerdings Richtung Strand gibt es einen stinkenden Abfluss,den man überqueren muss.Der Strand ist ziemlich schlimm,für Liegestühle muß man extra zahlen:1/4 Nachmittag=18€.Rauchen darf man auf dem Gelände nicht,es gibt keinen Raucherbereich aber die Großfamilie durfte ihre Unterhosen überall aufhängen und Lärm machen ab 6Uhr früh.Wenn man ankommt, bekommt man eine Liste mit Verboten in die Hand und muß während des gesamten Aufenthaltes ein Papierarmband tragen.Wir fanden die ganze Gegend schrecklich und völlig überteuert.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our 3 night and 4 day stay here. The breakfast was PHENOMENAL being that it was already included. Prepare for transportation as the airport was two hours away from the resort but my boyfriend and I wanted to bond with locals and we took a 3 hour bus ride from San Jose to Jaco Beach and it dropped us off directly by the resort. Only thing I would say I had an issue with was that I asked for our room to be decorated for my boyfriends birthday prior to our arrival and this was not done but they offered us two free alcoholic beverages for the inconvenience. Great trip, amazing staff, and amazing food. The beach and views of the sunrise/sunset was BEAUTIFUL. The room exceeded our expectations and we would definitely be returning. Pura Vida!

Pool was closed for repairs. Oceanfront rooms are loud, unable to sleep with the loud beach bar music playing. Great location on the beach. Staff was wonderful. Bar food and drinks were great.

This was the perfect place for me to do a week-long solo time. I had a great ocean view in the Junior Suite with a bath tub. I swam in the pool and ocean everyday, had lovely meals in the Tiki restaurant, and good connections with several of the staff. I don't know about the other rooms, but the Jr. Suite was delightful!

Very nice place to stay, right on the ocean. It was just a little bit of a pain because we got there early and check in is not until 1500; at 1200 you can start using the facilities but before then you cannot do much. We were able to walk to town and to food places but it was not super close. The rooms ha nice air conditioning but we had to ask for a blanket at the desk after it getting very cold teh first night. Overall nice place and the tiki bar on site is cute. I would stay here again.

Positives first: Location was perfect right on the beach. Room view was the best. Negatives: From the start, no way to contact them directly because they don't answer the phone, EVER. They do not respond to emails for at least a day. They say they provide shuttle service but you can't contact them to set it up because they do not answer the phone. . 2 people man the desk from 7AM to 9 PM. The woman/girl was too busy playing on her phone from the time she arrives until she leaves. The guy was much better. They supposedly set up excursions through the hotel. She did not know anything about any of them, not even the most basic questions. Tried to get a catamaran tour set up through her and gave up after 3 days. Set it up ourselves by going downtown and it took 10 minutes. Breakfast is free but only 4 options and if you deviate, they charge you extra (full price breakfast for adding 3 pieces of VERY undercooked bacon (raw). They did not even have bacon for 3 of the 4 the days we attempted to eat there. Breakfast starts at 7 AM, excursions leave before & AM. We booked a suite, one chair in the room tilted forward to slide out. No table, no microwave. Can't bring in alcohol from outside. Required to buy their VERY watered down and extremely overpriced drinks. restaurant was extremely over priced. could not check out bicycles because all 6 were broke (lie). Too many negatives to complete here. Go elsewhere !!

I’ve only had two interactions with front desk staff and both young people were very pleasant. My biggest issue is with the restaurant staff. Literally the worst service I’ve ever received in 25 years of coming to Costa Rica. There are three main servers who neither smile, acknowledge you, say thank you or you’re welcome. They don’t smile unless it’s to each other. At first I thought they were having a bad day but they’ve had three consecutive bad days. Slow service is to be expected in Costa Rica. It’s actually something I enjoy as long as it’s pleasant. I brought it to the attention of the front desk but she just smiled and apologized. I have a feeling that she’s heard this many times before.

We loved staying here it was a nice peaceful place not far from the jaco strip. We rented bikes from the property and u are also able to rent surf boards. It was nice to be able to walk down to the beach with ease day or night. They had Secerity making this property safe. Walter was a fantastic manager and always stopped to make sure we were having a good time. My fiancée preposed to me here, so we will def be back!

We arrived early and the hotel were very inflexible about permitting an early check in despite the hotel not being very busy. Communication was difficult as reception staff did not speak English and there appeared to be no management on site. When finally allowed to enter the room discovered that the shower taps were broken. Could not be fixed so had to move to another room that was not the same as the one booked several months in advance. Safe in the new room did not work and attempts to fix it and replace it with another failed leaving us without a safe.Purchases at the bar/restaurant could not be charged to the room and had to be paid each time used. Restaurant closed at 6.00pm without notice and without a car there was no alternative resaurant nearby. Room was not cleaned and replacement towels had to be requested from reception. I am sorry with the poor review as the location and facilities are very good and the young staff tried hard to resolve issues, even though there was a distinct absence of management. The appearenace of the hotel was marred by the numerous signs around the hotel on most walls stating what could and could not be done.

I absolutely loved this resort. We got lucky and most of our stay we were one of the few at the resort. The breakfast was amazing, I recommend the complimentary breakfast, it was HUGE and so delicious. The views were absolutely beautiful from the balcony. Staff were all super nice and friendly. I would love this place even more if they had happy hour at the restaurant on the resort. All in all 10/10 experience, I would highly recommend this place. Close to the strip, so many food options near by, night life and super markets.

This property is a little far to walk into the little town Jaco, but I liked it. It was clean and comfortable, had a pretty garden and pool, and is right on the beach. The restaurant is also good, although expensive, as are many restaurants in Costa Rica! The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We throughly enjoyed the 5 nights we stayed at the Jaco Laguna. It off the main strip and in a nice quiet location. The staff was great and the facility was well cared for. El Miro is right up the street if ur looking for a morning hike to an incredible overlook. It’s about a 15 minute walk down the beach to downtown

This was a great place to stay in Jaco. Its just south of town so its more laid back and quiet but close to everything. The staff was nice and the restaurant on site has good food. Theres a little restaurant and store across the street that made things easy as well.

Included breakfast options were nice. All common areas clean. Beds comfy. Beach access and view from pool/restaurant a plus. AC worked well. Staff tried to be accommodating. Tiki bar not open nor in operating condition. Pool very worn & dated with missing tiles and paint. For anyone with mobility or accessibility considerations, may not be ideal.

This place is okay, the view is not all that. I ordered a calamari the calamari was not cooked I sent it back and I still had to pay for it when I returned. I asked for french toast instead of bread and I still had to pay for the French toast.

Beautiful property. Affordable prices, beautiful beach. Only thing I would suggest is friendlier staff at the bar. They were often distracted, on their phones and slow to close out or attend if you needed something.

This was a nice beachfront hotel at a good value. Staff was really nice and the food at the restaurant was good (but expensive). I really liked this hotel. If I could make suggestions for improvement it would be to offer beach towels or lounge chairs. They give you pool and shower towels but warn you not to use them at beach. I've never stayed in a 4 star beach hotel before that didn't have lounge chairs/ umbrellas on the beach or beach towels. I would stay again.

Only complaint I would have is, we ordered a $60 seafood meal and had to supplement the meal due to the small size. Very disappointing. Otherwise staff and hotel was very nice.

We were in the junior suite, beautiful room, wifi bugs a lot tho, nice breakfast that is included, great staff!! The pool is reallyyy warm, you will never get cold in that pool loll! Nice stay:)
We were in the junior suite, beautiful room, wifi bugs a lot tho, nice breakfast that is included, great staff!! The pool is reallyyy warm, you will never get cold in that pool loll! Nice stay:)
