The Inn is lovely in every way. The room was comfortable and spotless. The reception was terrific, and Joy went out of her way to assure our questions were answered. The common room overlooking the grounds was a beautiful and pleasant space. The evening snacks were freshly baked cookies and fruit and were delightful as was the breakfast. We are looking forward to our return visit!

Is a nice place to stay, a night can be noisy as the hotel seems to be on a main street. Late check-in is done at a different site. You get a call with instructions which is nice. Overall a very nice place to stay.

Denice, the hostess was amazing. She always had good advice on where to go to maximize our time there. She kept a bowl of candy on the counter and when she noticed I was taking the Snickers bars, she gave me a bag full for my trip home! My only issue is our room was on the third floor. The building is 300 years old and does not have an elevator. We are in our 70's and although we are both in good health, it got tiring going up and down 3 flights of stairs. The room was clean and comfortable. Even though we had a window facing the Pike, traffic noise was not a problem. The pool and spa were across the road and a long walk along Old Philidelphia Pike with no sidewalks. (Old Philidelphia Pike is a busy road with heavy truck traffic). Crossing the Pike for breakfast is an exercise in patience. Overall, I would stay there again, but would ask for a room on the first floor.

Very easy checkin and safe accommodations. Room was clean. The property has an older historic feel. Well maintained. If we had to give an example of something we didn’t like, I guess the fact that we checked in at one building and then drove over to the building we stayed in and the free breakfast was in another building across the street. None of this was a big deal to us.

This is a very very very wonderful place to stay. The things we like the most are the location of the property (next to the Amish villages, the beautiful countryside), the number of pools, the fish lake, and the mini golf field. In addition to these, we were touched by the warm and human reception we received from the property's personnel. Moreover, the hotel provided a bus tour in the vicinities of Lancaster with stops at numerous locations where one could buy souvenir items, food, and learn more about Lancaster through the beautiful verbal presentation of the bus driver during the tour. We will only stay at this place for our upcoming trips to Sights & Sound.

The old house was beautifully decorated. Lobby area was set up nicely for guests with complimentary snacks. Lovely old house. But our room had a mildewy smell. We could not open any window to freshen the air. All windows were sealed. We ran the bathroom fan 24 hours to try to draw out the smell and stuffiness. The mattress on the bed had seen better days. Very uncomfortable sleep.

My wife and I booked 1 night to get away. It was ok. Nothing special. The customer service was great. The room was small though and the mattress of our bed was more like a hammock. Our room was at the front of the house. So we heard traffic all night. The breakfast food was sub-par. My wife and I stuck to the store bought breakfast items. Their eggs, waffles, and baked oatmeal did not taste good. Which was a surpirse, since it is a bed and breakfast establishment. Overall, it was an ok experience. If that is what you're looking for, go for it. However, there are many better places in the area.

Our stay was very pleasant, the main house was very old and charming, our room was spacious and quaint. The INN Keeper was very helpful and a very pleasant person, only adults allowed, can understand why, there are 4 houses altogether and hotel with pool for families. You are right in the center of everything you need. We will return again.

Rooms were comfortable and decorated to match the period except for one or two electric lamps etc. Everything was well maintained and clean. Breakfast was very nice with a wide selection. My only criticism would be that a water softener near room 109 came on between 6 and 6:30 AM that was so loud it vibrated my room and left me no choice but to get out fo bed a bit earlier than I would have liked.

I must warn future guests about the noise from the adjacent road, which is very close to the front of the inn. Also, we needed to cross the street to get to the dining room for breakfast and I did not feel safe crossing this busy road. There should be a stop light and cross walk in this area.

Our stay at Bird in Hand Village Inn & Suites, was the best. From the moment we checked in Denise, the innkeeper was super warm, friendly, funny and accommodating to all our needs. The rooms were tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was great and had a good variety of food and all staff members were very nice and friendly. Definitely will stay there again

Best place I have ever stayed. It felt like home. Denise was very accommodating and helpful. She knows her staff. They provide free water and other drinks. The quietness of the place is superb. And accessible to shopping and restaurants. Not too far from Sight and Sound

Everything about our stay was awesome! The staff really cared and helped plan out our days, it was such an at home feel.. Beautiful Inn, very clean. There was nothing we didn't like. The convenience of being able to walk everywhere was great. We will be going again, highly recommend.

The inn was very nice, location was convenient. The town needs cross walks as it was dangerous crossing the street to the local attractions. It would be better if smoking areas were located away from the buildings, the porches should be smoke free areas as the entrances are near peoples rooms.

A beautiful and delightful step back in time to a more refined way of life. A great experience, definitely not your typical hotel room, very charming in every small detail. Breakfast was delicious too. First complimentary breakfast we ever enjoyed with china plates and cloth napkins. That should be your clue to the type of service you will enjoy here.
