Quality Lodge - Cedar Point Area

Clean rooms, friendly staff, fair pricing, pool on site, and you can park right next to your room. These are just a few of the reasons that I enjoy staying here. Check out time is a bit earlier than I am used to (10am) but the pool opened at 9 so my son got to swim for a hour before leaving. I usually stay here when visiting cedar point so it has everything I need for a comfortable night stay to rest up for the ride home. The only thing that could have been better is that there was a really bad rain storm the night before and water got into my room and soaked one of my bags that was left on the floor, other than that everything was great.

It is a great place for the price you paid for. They have a clean swimming pool. Great parking and nice and warm reception.

The motel is ok. The self check-in worked. But it is a problem in August, when the ac doesn't work and nobody is there trying to fix it (complaint via email remained unresponded). The pool is fine. One should also know that there is a railway track right next to the motel. Therefore, from time to time a freight train runs acoustically through your sleeping room, also during weekends. When the train driver whistled it was even louder than the ac in the room, where it worked.

Had a very nice room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had been on a trip to Cedar Point and originally i had informed them that we would b a late check in, however, we got rained out from a bad storm so ended up arriving earliee than expected. The staff was amazing, even though we arrived before we said we would our room was ready. Check in and out was quick and easy. I was very pleased with how nice the staff was. Due to the rain we had an issue with our room leaking a little bit as the parking lot was flooding. We immediately let the office know to see what we should do. They were super nice and offered us a new room but we were still happy with our original room. The pool looked very nice, although did not have time for a swim. Our room was very quiet and very clean. Had no problems sleeping. Convenient location for restaurants and stores. Very pleased with our stay and will definitely revisit again.

We planned a last minute trip to Cedar Point for the holiday and wanted to stay a couple nights so we didn’t have to drive back and forth from home. Being that is was so last minute anything available was crazy expensive and those that weren’t as bad had terrible reviews. Quality lodge popped up and the price was too good to pass up and it had good reviews so we went for it. This is not a regular hotel, it is a locally owned small motel with a pool. It was clean and the location was very close to Cedar Point. If you are looking for a place to sleep after a day at the park, it is perfect for that. It is an older place, so expect to see outdated furniture and such. But shower pressure in the bathroom was great and beds were comfy. I liked that you are given a code to get into your room. And the staff there is really great. If you need a no frills, clean and comfortable place to sleep after a day at the beach or at Cedar Point it is perfect for that.

The staff was friendly. The pool and the area surrounding it was clean. Except for the train, no loud noises. The coffee was good! and the even had creamers! Please be aware it is a no thrills hotel. Very basic but clean. Please bring food with you b/c restaurants not close and they do not provide comp breakfast nor vending machines. Will definitely recommend and return to this place.

Our room was a little smaller than we expected, but clean with a comfortable bed. Swimming pool was a great bonus!

I stayed at Quality Lodge several times under the previous ownership. The rooms are old and dated, but the previous owners had those rooms spotless and it was a quaint place to stay. I returned and had such a disappointing experience. The room was dirty, walking barefoot on the carpet had my feet black in seconds. The shower had black dirt in it, presumably from dirty feet from the carpet from the previous tenant. But the worst part was that my room had a very strong smell of stale cigarettes. Not the fresh smoke in a bar smell (which is terrible as well) but the combination of must and past cigarettes that gets on your hair and clothes if you spend more than 90 seconds in the room. Unfortunately there is no staff on site, which was a problem because I was not sent the arrival email and had to spend a significant amount of time trying to call to get my credentials. Many great memories at this hotel, but never again.

Off-season so the whole town was quiet. Clean room, hot water, big bed, fridge/microwave/coffeemaker, and the price was great. Everything I'm looking for. Would definitely stay again.

Cleanest motel I have ever stayed at. The staff was available at all times. The rooms were quiet and nice. Overall great experience.

I don't know if the management has changed, but the motel moved to self serve check in. My check in email was supposed to arrive by 12pm, it was delivered at 8:15pm. The email was missing our room code and I had to call a line several times before someone could let us in. The entire room smelled like mildew and all the linens were damp. The AC unit was so loud that we could barely sleep. They replaced the black out curtains with thin paper blinds, which did nothing to block out the bright lights from outside our room. It was like trying to sleep with a spot light on our window. I tried to go to the office in the morning, but nobody was there, even in normal business hours. I made multiple calls to the listed number and nobody picked up. It's a shame because we enjoyed going to Quality Motel for you our yearly trips to Cedar Point and I don't think we will ever go back.

The room stunk like cig smoke - we had to wash all of the clothes we did not wear. Stairs are outside and metal - Friday night was icy - they were covered w rock salt - which was drug into our room When we left today there wAs at least 2 inches of snow on those same steps. Hadn’t been treated or touched. I stopped in the office which was locked. They advertise that there is someone available 24/7 so I called the number on the office door at approximately 10 AM this morning. It’s now 6 PM and I have yet to hear from anyone. Additionally, there is no closet. what they consider a closet consists of a rod with no hangers I bought hangers at the dollar store so we could hang our stuff up. The heating element blows heat into the ceiling of closet/closet rod- so that is the only part in the whole room that gets heat so if you’re staying at this property, I recommend not staying when it’s cold out especially if you have the bed near the door, you will freeze so I recommend you bring your own blankets unless you love to be cold. The place was clean, however lots of mold in the shower they also boast of free Wi-Fi for every room, but don’t have the passcode shown anywhere so yesterday I had to go to the office to ask for the passcode. I know you get what you pay for but I wouldn’t have paid five dollars for this room. I’m a cheapskate -but this is truly the worst place I’ve stayed. It is so bad that there isn’t even a bible in the drawers.

There were dead bugs all through the room, rusted mirror, crack in the door, filthy bed, smelled like cigarette smoke. Didn’t even stay at the property.

This place was absolutely disgusting. Within 2 minutes of opening the door and inspecting everything and taking many pictures, I immediately closed the door and tried to find someone around but no one was available. The bed was unmade and stains everywhere looking like blood, the smell of the place was horrendous. We left in search of a hospitable hotel. After contacting this place they said there's no record of us informing them and leaving early. No refund issued.

This is the perfect cheap hotel if you’re looking for a very basic overnight stay, or a basic stay in general in a CLEAN room. Check-in was perfect, got the room number and door code ahead of time so when we arrived we just walked into the room and that was it. Most cheap motels are dirty or scary and still charge nearly $100 because they have a coffee maker in the room. This place is much less expensive and very well-kept, doesn’t have a coffee maker or desk but had two night stands and a mini fridge, what else could you need from this price point? Thank you for offering this kind of motel for travelers looking for a bargain but not wanting to compromise on cleanliness and safety in exchange!

I would consider the photos for this property "false advertising" - I am not sure if they only offer one room that looks as nice as the photos but I was shockingly disappointed. Immediately checked the bed for bed bugs (there wasn't any thankfully) but our room was SO small, the two double beds were up against each other, only one available outlet in the entire room, mini-refrigerator was off balance, television was placed in the most awkward spot, no room for luggage. Thankfully we only stayed one night and just needed somewhere to sleep after a long day and night at Cedar Point but it was soooo sketchy here. Friends traveling with us were very hesitant to let their Tesla parked outside this motel but there were no issues. For a desperate one-night sleep this is your place but any longer or traveling with family I would absolutely not recommend.

No air conditioning in the room. The management did bring us fans but I would not recommend you to stay here .

From the parking lot to the steps going up to our room to eventually our room was absolutely horrendous. The shower had mold. None of the furniture matched. The beds were as hard as rocks. Not to mention the train that passed by every hour that completely shook the room. I will be fighting for a refund.

Room was very small compared to like-priced rooms at other places; our shower was strictly just a shower, i would say anyone above 5'7" would find it difficult to shower comfortably, anyone of a larger size will feel cramped. We has mysterious brown stains on the ceiling, however, we were there to sleep for the night and hit the road the next morning so its good enough for what you need. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and knowledgeable.

Property in decent condition. Little outdated but the price fits the conditions. My only complaint was the AC would not get the temp down to the set temperature.

The air conditioning doesn’t work. I was one of several guests that had our doors open with the fans they left in the rooms attempting to cool the room down to the outside temperature of 80. There were even a couple who gave up and slept in their cars. There is nobody present that works for the motel. When I called the number on the office door, they placed me on hold for 25 minutes at which time the phone system ended the call. Not that it mattered at that point but the tv didn’t work either. Absolutely will never consider them again, nobody else should either.

Our room was a little smaller than we expected, but clean with a comfortable bed. Swimming pool was a great bonus!

Owners are very friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is housekeeping does not come to room with garbage bags, towels or TP. I had to go to front t desk at get the things we needed.

I made a same day reservation on travelocity for that evening. When I got to the hotel (9pm) the office was closed. There was a telephone number to call but when I called, the outgoing message was that they were closed.

The management/staff went above and beyond to get me into a room early. Its an older property but very clean and quiet, room was nice, very affordable, with nice toiletries and a microwave and mini-fridge. I've stayed in much more luxurious hotels but never one with a more attentive and accomodating staff, I can't express how nice this had made my trip!

Staff was great BUT I wasn’t able to check into my room until almost 7:00. We got to the hotel earlier but never received a email letting me know which room we was in or the combination to the door. I actually had to call the number and spoke to a very nice lady that told me our room was still not ready for us. She said they still had to put new linens on the beds. We got to unpack our stuff around 7:00pm. That’s 4 hours after the 3:00 check in we was told when we booked the room. No mention of changing the room since ours wasn’t ready so we could get in earlier. No mention of any type of compensation what so ever for not having the room ready. Other than that we was happy with our stay.

The owner knew we had to get up for a triathlon at 4:00 am and got up early to have a fresh pot of coffee ready for us. So kind. The room was clean and basic. Nothing fancy but we didn’t need anything fancy.

I wish I actually got to stay here, but unfortunately I was NOT given the chance to. To preface this, I am not a reviewer, nor am I usually the one to complain. However, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a hotel/motel. I booked through hotels.com, I have booked there before and had no issues. I received a confirmation email about my booking from hotels.com on the day I booked (in June). When I showed up to the property, we noticed there was no staff in the office. We read a piece of paper left on the door that said to check our email for information on “self-serve” check in. I checked my email, I SCOURED my email and found NOTHING from the property or hotels.com since the original confirmation email. I even double checked the check in times and everywhere I looked it said check in starts at 3pm. There was no window given for cut off either. We arrived at the location at roughly 10:00 pm. I had to end up booking somewhere else last minute so we didn’t have to sleep in the car. I messaged the property that night and my partner and I also both tried calling that night to no avail. We had cedar point the next day, so we weren’t planning on immediately contacting the property. When we woke up this morning, I noticed an email from the property at 8:53 am. It had the room number and entry code. I decided to call the property and they directed me to hotels.com. Hotels.com then needed up contacting the property directly and they basically told me I would only ge

The location was excellent, especially for somewhere just for spending the night. Room was very clean. The area around may feel slightly unsafe at night if alone but other than that, I would definitely stay again!

Our stay was good. As other reviews state, the staff is very welcoming and the rooms are clean (which were our biggest draws). It’s also located closer to Cedar Point than I originally imagined, especially with the affordability, which was an extra win. Some people mention the train being near. We could hear it from our room, but it wasn’t loud enough to be any kind of disturbance. We’re hoping to book here again upon our next visit.

Literally 3 minutes from our planned venue, the Cedar Point Sports Complex. Everything worked out perfect for us! Will stay again when travelling to Cedar Point,only minutes away!

Close to Cedar Point. Nice clean rooms. The contactless check-in meant I didn't need to worry about my arrival time. This helped a lot when my train into town was delayed..

Booked as we needed a location close to Cedar Point with 3 beds. Family-run establishment with very welcoming, attentive proprietors. The rooms were very clean. Our main room with 3 beds had a separate small changing room in addition to the bathroom. This came in very handy as our family ended one day and started the next. The owners provided water bottles at check in and had coffee in the lobby in the morning. All in all, it made for the perfect overnight stop on our trip and set us up well for Cedar Point the next day.
