This place is amazing. Looks old yet isn't. Build within the last 25 years. Room had fire suppression system along with the usual smoke alarm. Excellent breakfast. Secure entry and parking. Close to Southern Utah University campus.

A beautiful surprise! I loved the cleanliness, the coziness and the ambiance. It was like stepping back 100 years. (including no elevator). Hundreds of antique trinkets, beatiful artwork and statues and a calm relaxing ambiance. My husband is an architect and thought it was a rebuilt, updated old home. In reality it was built 20 years ago as an old fashioned bed and breakfast. The food was delicious, the owners were wonderful, friendly, and very helpful. I highly highly recommend this place as a stay for a great getaway. However I would not bring my grandchildren, too many things to grab and touch and break. We will go back next time we are in the area.

Elegantly decorated historic mansion run by extremely accommodating and caring hosts. Got a free upgrade on a quiet weekday: suite had a lovely antique clawfoot tub and great balcony, charming decor throughout. Very convenient to Utah Shakespeare Festival and college campus.

We come to Cedar City every year. We always try and stay at The Big Yellow Inn. We have even changed our plans to stay here. Each room has a different theme. There is a kitchen that guests can use.

The stay at the Big Yellow Inn was nice. I was very surprised to find out that they built it fairly recently because the woodwork and style harkened back to lovely older homes of that period. It is full of wonderful antiques and a person could spend lots of time pouring over the public areas which are a treasure trove of history. The owner, Scott, was super helpful by phone from early on and even after our stay. His wife was very nice, informative about the house's history, and clearly about relationships, which is what I like about traditional B&Bs. Breakfasts were tasty with quite a few options to choose from. We stayed in the "master suite" which actually had two separate bedrooms, a pleasant surprise. It was clean and quiet. Their site said there was a/c but our rooms were stuffy and warm with only a 70* day outside. We couldn't find any a/c but there was a fan provided which helped. To their credit, I didn't ask about it because it wasn't intolerable by any means in early spring. I am a heavy lady with prior back injuries and found the bed in the back bedroom extremely uncomfortable, but my friend slept well in the front room. The rooms were well equipped with the things you might need, including a little kitchenette, and the porch was lovely. The owners are relational, involved, hard working, and have good senses of humor. This is obviously a labor of love for them, with a rich sense of history and caring for people.

Nicely decorated with memorabilia. Every room is unique. The owners are delightful. Within walking distance of the Shakespeare theaters and the SUU campus. Very convenient parking. Ample and tasty breakfast as well. It is a great choice.

The Inn is family oriented. Breakfast is warm & the dining area is inviting with curios in all places to see and admire. The walkout basement is great- no lugging suitcases up staircases since there are 5 rooms in the basement level - all roomy with separate bathrooms.

I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a stay at a Bed & Breakfast as much as I did this one! I would find a reason to go to Cedar City just to stay here. It was SOOO much fun here. It’s only 20-25 years old but it looks like it’s been there forever. Every room has a different theme with LOTS of vintage decor to support it. Meeting up with other people staying there for breakfast was so enjoyable. My only little issue was the basement level can be a little bit noisy. But that wouldn’t stop me from staying here again. The owners, Barbara said Scott are the most lovely people who have curated the most wonderful place to stay.

The room was comfortable, the owners were friendly and breakfast was good. No only negatives was the room was in the basement with no views and the metal frame on the bed blocked some of the view on the tv. Overall a very nice stay.

Interesting place to stay---filled with antiques and brickabrac. But nothing was dusty and everything very clean. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Breakfast was fun. Located in a Perfect location just 5-6 minute Walking distance to Shakespearean festival, community theater and local restaurants. Owners are very hospitable and have prepared for all conveniences.

A very inviting atmosphere. Beautifully decorated. Our room was clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included but unfortunately we needed to leave prior to it being served as we had a 10 hour drive. We'll stay there again. Easy access to the interstate.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted right away by Scott, who graciously showed us to our room. We have stayed at the inn before and love the beautiful rooms. Everything is immaculately clean and the bed was so comfortable. We have only the highest praise for the Big Yellow Inn!

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay at the Big Yellow Inn. We stayed in the English room. The place appears designed for couples, especially those whose tastes run to the traditional. It feels like visiting a combination of the 19th century and my grandma's house. The carpet is thick and lush. The trim is all engraved wood. The décor consists of paintings in old fashioned, large wood frames and knick knacks everywhere. We loved it! However, the amenities such as the bathroom were modern and there were plenty of outlets. There's a flat screen TV in the room. The hosts were kind, attentive, and interesting conversationalists. To top it off, we walked easily about a block and a half to the Shakespeare Festival each day.

Stunning, unique place to stay with lovely hosts! Comfortable room and food is available locally until very late, even on a weeknight. The only drawback was no A/C in our room but the weather was mild, so it was fine :)

The owners of the hotel are very considerate and helpful. The internal decorations are very cute and old-fashioned. I like it a lot. Their homemade breakfast was great, with fresh fruits, veggie omelet, sausage, toast, different juices. Love it. I had trouble with my injured hands. They helped me to carry my suitcases upstairs and later downstairs. They even loaded my suitcases in my car so that I do not have to lift anything with my injured hands. Very appreciated. Overall, the place is a very pleasand and enjoyable stay. Highly recommend it to anyone.

A wonderful place to call home for the night. Barbara and her husband were very hospitable and helpful in regard to the area. Breakfast was incredible! Checking in and out was effortless. This is a must if you are in the area of Cedar City!

I don't normally write reviews but this place is worth mentioning. The house has been completely renovated and the work is quality. Each room has a theme which makes for a fun stay. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever experienced. If ever going through Cedar City you must stop and stay at the Big Yellow Inn.

We had a fantastic stay. We stayed in the lower level of the inn and it was very quiet. I liked having access to a small kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast each morning was delicious! The owners were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

It was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast and it was lovely! Beautiful, quaint inn and very nice friendly people. Breakfast was good, but 8:30 was a bit late for travelers. I’d suggest breakfast at 7 am, otherwise everything was perfect.

This is a wonderful B&B. Hosts are gracious and helpful. House is beautifully decorated. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice: eggs sausage, breads, granola, and fresh fruit. I’d go back next time I’m in town.
