Hyatt Place Charlotte Downtown

The location is conveniently located in Uptown Charlotte for seeing the Nascar Hall of Fame or a Hornets game. Unfortunately the hotel only has valet parking and one working elevator.

everything was good but online said they had a pool but when getting there it said its pool has been closed since 2024 which kind of was a let down

Location of the hotel is great. Front desk service and vallet staff both seemed like they hated their jobs. My shower had mildew all over it and bathroom and the whole tell could use a little elbow grease. Pool was out of service, an elevator was out of service and the whole 10ths AC wasn’t working.. hotel definitely needs some TLC

This hotel is located in the heart of downtown Charlotte. Restaurants, shopping and bowling alley is in walking distance. I enjoyed breakfast which was always fully stocked and hot. Cons: the lobby which is also the breakfast area is warm because the air conditioner was not working. The pool was out of service and is only 3ft deep so I don’t know if it was ever a pool. The rooftop has nice views of the city. Also, the hotel has valet parking for $38 a night. Besides the cons I pointed out this was a nice hotel and I would recommend to friends and family.

Hotel lobby and common areas are currently being renovated. I am rehabbing an ACL reconstruction, and I booked the hotel because it had a fitness center with bikes and treadmills. There was no mention of renovation on hotels.com or Hyatt website.

Please mention that the property under renovation and send the property condition to booking for partners. I booked because of coffee shop and restaurant availability but it’s closed and total property is under renovations. Moreover I complained about tv not functioning as well.. Not worth the money.

Was an unremarkable hotel. It is starting to show it's age. The lobby is on the 10th floor which to me says we didn't get the whole building. You can only valet park according to the hotel. But I self parked a block away and walked back. $30 for 24 hours. Hotel was more. They were having some sort of air-conditioning issue on floor 10 and had mobile units with cords strung in plces. Needless to say I wasn't the greatest experience of the following night I stayed at a different hotel.

The elevators were not working.

Hotel was under construction, but they made it work.

The rooms were clean and comfortable and very roomy. However the hotel was in poor shape. One elevator was broken, the other one took forever! Very slow! The staff was inattentive. Our TV remote batteries were dead-had to go to front desk in the middle of the night. Pool closed AC was out in the main lobby so breakfast included portable AC units and fans. I got locked outside in the middle of the night and my keycard didn’t work to enter the building I rang the bell numerous times and no one would respond. The worst part was the elevators. Just TERRIBLE.

My sheets were dirty. Staff gave me to option of picking up new sheets but I would have to put them on.

Staff is very friendly but the rooms are not very clean

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. I would definitely stay again.

Room was relatively clean, but not as clean as I would expect from a Hyatt.

I love the property however, no one came to clean room on the second day there, someone came the next day, drop off towels and wipe bathroom floor, had to ask to have carpet vacuum, also saw a bug in the clothes dresser.

Bathroom wasn’t very clean upon arrival, there was hair in the shower and sink area. The bed are not comfortable compared to other places downtown, so probably won’t stay again. We did have an issue around 3am on our hall and security was fast to respond and assist, so that was a plus that everyone around appreciated. Staff was wonderful, an upgrade to the beds would be my only suggestion.

Overall room was clean until I found a large yellow stain on the sheet.

AC and mini fridge made a lot of noise all night, everything else was perfect.

Staff was amazing, but the A/C in my room was extremely loud.

No real issues with the stay but having check in on the 10th floor and then going to a floor below was a little "different." Overall, I wanted a more luxurious room and stay.

If they could have fixed the air conditioning in the room, our stay would have been great. Our room was 77+ degrees for 2 nights. We were assured the HVAC guy would be there first thing in the morning, and we were first on the list. He called in sick and we were never told he wasn't coming. On day 4 we finally moved rooms, which wasn't an easy task for 2 women who completely unpacked for a 5 night conference with a formal event.

Location was close to uptown area and walkable. Breakfast buffet was so/so with same items daily and no pastries ( except for Friday out donut holes) but you could purchase a muffin! Room was spacious but beds and pillows were hard, sliding door to bathroom was extremely hard to open/close and very noisy as was the pipes to the shower. Faucet on bathroom sink left water all over vanity

Room was clean. Refrigerator was old and loud but not as loud as the air conditioner. It was VERY loud and kept me from sleeping. Woke up to the sound of it coming on at least 3 times each night i was there. The weather was hot so there was no choice but to have the AC on. Not the most restful sleep for 2 nights.

Friendly staff. Extended our stay after the conference so we could get some rest and it worked out great, breakfast was good. Several options hot or cold, juice water and coffe available all the time… lobby and guest service staff was very good. Friendly staff. Parking is valet only and will cost you about $35. A day or larger vehicles like vans or large SUV cost you $45 a day. Would stay here again.

My wife and I loved staying in this hotel. The area was great, easy to get to places. Valet parking was great and likes not having to find a place to park. Very quiet area and inside hotel. All the staff was very polite and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

Amazing and great customer service

The valet parking staff was amazing. The front desk staff was cold and they never explained how to navigate the hotel. The amenities or any information. It was like we needed to know everything.

@ arrival, 40 mins waiting to be valet parked & after finally getting “pulled to the side” we went inside to wait another 20 mins for a luggage cart to get to check in on the 10th floor And were greeted by staff members that were not so friendly in particular the black female with the low-cut blonde hair. Very rude & snooty. I did everything in my power to overly complement her in hopes of pulling out a kinder customer service stance. Yet to no avail. I ran back outside and tipped ** (the best staff they had in terms of cust serv) to please lock the doors on my brand new Mercedes AMG and please park it somewhere to protect the doors. We checked in and as requested were sent to the highest floor where we immediately realized that our window blinds were broken, so we were unable to open or close them for the view of the city. We got changed & left out again & As soon as we came downstairs, it reeked of marijuana in the main lobby, and once we stepped outside the door, my car was still parked out Front had yet to be moved with the doors STILL UNLOCKED, and there was a female leaning on my car taking pictures of herself. I am appalled at the valet. I called four different times all the way up until 5 AM. of doors being slammed, marijuana smell, and someone arguing all night long in our hall. No sleep! Spoke to Lorenzo, David and two diff females. My Grandbaby (8 y/o) touched the lights in your lobby and the same black female loudly got onto her ! Hyatt Never again!

Friendly super helpful, relaxed and polite staff

The customer service was excellent. The staffs were very friendly and always ready to help out with any questions.

Valet staff were great. Room was spacious and clean. Front desk staff member was unfriendly and was ranting to another staff member while we stood waiting to check in. The description of the hotel didn’t explain that valet parking was the only option and received an email from the hotel the morning of the reservation explaining the parking situation. We had an issue with blockage in the bathroom (around 10:30pm) and was told there was no maintenance on site to fix. They did offer another room but my kid was already sleeping.

Nice location downtown, right next door to the spectrum centre, has its own restaurant bar on the 21st floor called Fahrenheit. Also NASCAR Hall of fame is on the same street, within walking distance

It’s in the heart of Charlotte. Very walkable and close to everything.

The Hyatt Place Charlotte Downtown (HP) is located adjacent to the NASCAR Hall of Fame and Charlotte Convention center, both a short walk. There are many dining choices nearby. The hotel is located on the middle floors of a tower. The lobby is on floor 10 and the guest rooms are floors 10-14. This is a bit of an odd situation, but manageable. The staff was very friendly and the room was well appointed and large. Everything worked well. There was daily housekeeping. Breakfast is included - and it was high quality. Condition of the hotel is new-like. There is a fitness center if you want jog/run indoors. If you wish to run on the streets, I recommend going south away from the city center. There is small park in the midst of the adjacent government buildings.

Property was great for the event we went to at spectrum center. Didn’t care for the valet parking only and a little pricey. Bed were firm so if you like that you’ll enjoy this stay. Staff was nice and everything was clean.

This was a convenient hotel in downtown Charlotte, walkable to the NFL stadium.

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times and the location is great for walking to both basketball and football events. The staff are always friendly and the rooms are clean and quiet.

The hotel was very clean. The staff was very friendly, we did extend or check out time by an hour, with ease. It was in walking distance of the Bank of America Stadium, which was nice.

Friendly service, excellent location

The hotel staff kindly sent us an email before our stay with clear instructions that made finding the valet a breeze. Everyone we encountered was extremely kind and helpful. We were given a large, gorgeous room that was even better than we anticipated. The breakfast was also delicious. A 10 out of 10 stay. Would recommend and would stay again.

Disappointing breakfast set up. Was more like what you would expect at a Days Inn than a Hyatt.

Room was not very clean. Payed for city view and got to look at rusty air conditioners and a brick wall… Had to take an elevator to a lobby. Bar / restaurant was closed on a Saturday evening. Sunday breakfast was cheap and sub par for a building downtown competing with other top hotels/ brands.

I know breakfast was free was it was very meh. The sliding door for the bathroom was not the easiest to close. The cleaning lady came into our room around 10am speaking mostly Spanish. She asked if we were checking out today or tomorrow? Should probably be on a schedule for them so they don’t have these awkward interactions with guests.

The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, the dining options were excellent. The breakfast was great unlike other hotel breakfast. The Valet parking staff was a little short- staffed. Otherwise, the overall experience was good, and I would definitely come back to stay when I am in Charlotte.

Great rooftop bar!

This property is an easy walk to the Spectrum Center and made for a super convenient landing after a fun show. Breakfast is great and the rooms and spaces are clean and comfortable. The hotel is also currently renovating some areas that will make it even nicer.

Beware, there is major remodeling going on in the common areas. The lobby is a tiny temporary area off the tenth floor elevator and the breakfast area is a small, sad conference room. Orbitz and Hyatt Place had this pretty important information, buried under the “policy” section half way down. So imagine our surprise. Shame on someone…. Stay somewhere else.
