Bally's Atlantic City Hotel & Casino

I have stayed here a few times in the past but this time they really seem to be struggling. It was hard to find staff. The room was clean but if you really looked around things were pretty dusty. When we used the tub, it caused sewer water to back up into the shower. Front desk eventually changed our room but I had to insist, they preferred I just hung out with the plumber…otherwise the restaurants were closed, the pool was closed, and even the gym was closed because lack of staff. Anything we ended up doing we needed to leave and go to another casino…next time i will just find another place to stay. It’s a shame.

The staff was beautiful and the room was clean and acceptable. The vibes we're great. Haven't stayed in A.C in a while but it was fun. My only problem i had because it was definitely the root of my visit... My question for the Hotel is Why make the pool, fitness center and spa 21+ if you were going to put an early close on them? 6pm?? During the weekend?? Please change that being that traffic is a real thing and some people dont get settled until roughly around that time. Overall everything was a breeze.

Got charged extra for the car park, one at reception and then again at the gate as they would not let me out. The resort fees were supposed to cover parking. Beware

Our room was close to the spa, quiet and a side view of the beach. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Enjoyed sitting at the carousel bar and walking out on the boardwalk.

Convenience. Sunday check in and they used ten agents which made it quicker. If you book through a third site, don’t bother trying to use the rapid check in kiosk. The safe in the room didn’t work. The resort fee is a little bit higher than what is quoted on hotels.com if you drive out of the parking garage before 6:30 AM the gate is open so we didn’t pay the $10. The beach is black because of some minerals you can see out in the water giant black rocks so we decided to go north 2/10 of a mile where the beach is less black. Pool is quiet and no frills but it’s heated. Beware in the parking garage two older, sketchy guys pretending to clean off their car right next to mine, for 10 minutes, but never opening their car door, exactly around checkout time. I told security and he said there was nothing he could do and I should just move my car so I did.

The pool area was fabulous. Unfortunately hot tubs and sauna were out of service. Business room was not available with key after hours like sign said. Light bulbs missing from lamps in room and room was not cleaned and stocked daily. Run down atmosphere in much of the property

This property is nice the only problem we had was that children can’t use the swimming pool and the weather outside wasn’t nice enough to go to the beach

Recently went and had an amazing time. It was very clean, staff was extremely amazing. The beach bar is great, a nice place to relax dance and wind down at night. I can't wait to go back.

Sadly, even though I have stayed at Ballys typically every time I come to AC, they really disappointed with this stay. First I was charged a $15 early check-in fee, even though my room was already ready, and I was only slightly early. That is just a frivolous charge. Secondly, they advertise free parking if you spend $50 in one of their restaurants. I did spend well over $50 at Park Place Prime (receipt photo attached), yet still got charged for parking. Thirdly, they charge a resort fee for Wi-Fi and work out facility even though my wi-fi was spotty and weak in my room, and anybody gets wi-fi for free, even if you aren't staying at the hotel. The pool was in shambles as many hot tubs were completely empty of water and not functioning. The sauna was not functioning either as well as the cat walk from the parking garage. Fourthly,security refused to return a paperback book of mine from the lost and found that I was really enjoying reading. Lastly, housekeeping knocked on my door the morning of checkout at 9:12 am and promptly tried opening the door without giving me a chance to respond even though the check-out time was 11 am. Bally's management needs to look into this.

We were able to check in very quickly upon arrival. We spent 3 nights in the Junior suite on the Bally’s tower. Elevators were never too busy and were super fast. The room was wonderful, clean, large, and with nice views of the ocean. The bathroom was very nice with the shower and the separate soaking tub. We are not big gamblers so I can’t compare the casino, but the hotel experience was overall ok. I see the Bally having big potentials, with some improvements here and there. For example other hotels have nicer restaurants and bars, more choices and more lively. Nothing beats all the food choices of the Tropicana, for instance, or the live music every day at the Hard Rock. The pool at the Bally is decent, being large and 21+, but half othe stuff don’t work. They have 2 saunas but one didn’t work and the other one sorta worked. They have many hot tubs, but none of them worked. Why? They have a very large “rooftop” terrace and sun lounge right off the pool area but all doors except one were locked. We went outside for a bit and nobody else was there. But it’s could be super nice, since they have a bar in there (closed) and a lot of benches and lounge chairs. So much potential but needs some investments to bring it all up a notch. Look, for a mid week 3 nights stay and the price we paid, I think it was alright, and I would have no problem going back there again. It’s just sad sometimes when you see how nice things could be, if they fixed some of these little details.

Clean

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Conveniently located for show that was at Caesars right next door . Hotel is very old needs some updating. Check in was quick. But waited about 30min to check out. Tried the express check out but wouldn’t work told me I had to go to the desk. Parking ended up being free as there was no attendant at booth. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Bathroom was not clean. Hair pins, used soap and trash was found under sink on the floor. Bathtub had curly hairs in it. No disinfectant used for cleaning

Excellent clean room!

Had bed bugs Carpet nasty and smelly Towels and rags dirty The Dennis tower is the wordt to stay very very dirty had to be given a new room and that room was moldy and dirty as well

Absolutely worst experience. Hotel was completely rundown. Pool area was a shameful waste. Rooftop was good for the view but accommodations for guests were poor. Rooms smelled like moldy air. Carpets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a year. Absolutely no handicap doors worked. First expierence entering hotel was a urine soaked elevator. Bellhops would not even let us use a luggage cart to bring in our own luggage said it was a security risk for them to go to theirnown garage and we needed to pull back around to dropoff. Where there were no staff in the first place to assist with luggage.

Our room was not clean it smelled like urine bathroom had mold in the tub i thik they over charge for rooms there and nobody cleaned our room for the 3 nights we was there and the garbage was not even taken out of our room

The check in staff was rude they gave me a room was not even clean the bed was unmade cigarettes butt was on the bed

Room smelled awful, like mold/mildew. Sheets were stained and dirty looking. Fixtures in the bathroom were broken and just barely hanging on. The whole stay just felt gross.

Very overpriced for a disgusting room, stains on sheets, crumbs on floor, someone’s hair in the bathroom!!?? I doubt this room was cleaned prior to our stay.

No view; frosted windows; room outdated and had a musty smell. Could not adjust temperature in the room.

Stayed in Bally’s Yower. Clean and modern.

The room smelled smoke in the carpet. The floors and furniture needed an update. Hot water inconsistent

We stayed in the older section it was very clean & comfortable. The view of the beach was decent if you look around the courtyard we were facing

Clean, neat. That's about it. Old, out of date. Couldn't plug in our phones and electronics on a table or counter, only 1 plug by the bed. All others had to be on the floor. The only light switch was by the door. Very disappointing especially for the money.

The Bally’s tower rooms were spectacular. They did an amazing job on the renovations. Perfect location off the boardwalk and right into the beach. Casino beat and clean. We stay here all the time.

Stay was for a weekend getaway to enjoy a concert. The furniture was old and the AC and refrigerator wouldn't stay cool. We kept trying to cool the room and adjust the thermostat, but it kept rising to 90 degrees. Another mini fridge was brought in to replace the broken one. We were put in a new room and enjoyed the rest of our stay.

Bally's itself is is pretty decent. It's definitely older and you can tell. I go to Bally's for the rooms, but I seek food and entertainment at other locations. The Bally's tower is great, pretty much all renovated. However the Dennis Tower, that's where we just stayed (usually stay in Bally's Tower), is absolutely awful. The vents in the hallways have mold on them, the carpets in the hallways are from the 70s. Come to think of it, our entire room was from the 70s. The room smelled like 70s musk, mold, and 55 year old cigarette smoke. The AC barely worked, the wall paper was peeling off, and the bathroom was disgusting. The shower head was so full of mold and grime that it only worked on one setting (adjustable type). I will never stay in the Dennis Tower again unless they renovate it to match the Bally's tower. I can't trash Bally's overall score because of where I normally stay there, that's why my ratings are a little contradictory. Do not stay in the Dennis Tower unless you legit don't care where you stay. The Bally's Tower is great!

The Dennis room area needs a remodel.

We stayed in the Bally’s Tower which is an upgraded room tower. The room was huge and modern. There was a large jetted tub, huge shower, plenty of counter space. The view was amazing from the room and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and had a large tv with direct tv and a small fridge for your beverages. I was disappointed with the lack of dining in the hotel. We actually ate elsewhere.

Caitlin at the front desk went above and beyond when one of our party members was delayed in arriving. I wanted to be sure to mention that if given the opportunity.

The people of front desk is very rude, and don't give me answers. They never answered the phone when I was calling for the question of cleaning the room. I put the garbage out my room every single day. I have to look ln the mornings for the housekeeper and she give me clean towels

*Dunkin Donuts is an advantage to be inside Bally's but the SERVICE is TERRIBLE! kiosk is not working, under staffed, limited menu which they should let customers know before lining up for a LONG time! Long line in the morning. *check in/check out kiosks not working and only 1-2 people in the reception.

Booked a 4 night stay. Found out on day two that they don't clean the rooms while you're there. Not a big deal to us. What is a big deal, is having clean towels. On day three we were still using the same towels after asking repeatedly for clean ones. Then we, ran out of toilet paper despite begging for more. Will never stay at Bally's again! Have stayed at the Hard Rock and Ocean Resort in the past and had no issues with them.

Check in for the hotel on a Tuesday afternoon took almost a half an hour. The rooms were not cleaned at all during our 4 day stay, and in order to get clean towels, we needed to request them. I tried calling housekeeping/front desk twice during the stay to do so, and I waited on hold for more than a half an hour before hanging up because no one answered. After a long day at the beach, when we returned to our rooms, our keys didn't work, so we needed to wait in line at the front desk again to have them replaced. Every restroom we tried to use throughout the hotel and casino was either locked or closed. I would not return to this property.

Check in was horrible I had adjoining rooms there was only one room ready and I had to stay with 7 people in my room because the adjoining room was not ready by 4pm for check in the room was not clean and I waited until 9:30pm for the room to be cleaned for me I had two babies and waited so long my babies were uncomfortable and tired

The smoke smell is so overwhelming that our entire party was sick for the duration of our stay. Out of 7 showers in 3 days, there was warm water once. Never hot. We were overcharged at check in and told very rudely to take it up with hotels.com. We were overcharged for parking. Hotels.com refused to honor the price of our reservation when we "took it up" with them. The area surrounding the hotel felt very unsafe and reeks of pot smoke everywhere. Garbage on the beach. Most restaurants in the hotel closed on a Friday night!

The place is a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. The check in line is a bit tedious but the staff works as quickly as they can and are friendly as were the people in line. We were staying for a concert at the Broadway Hall down the boardwalk and it was great to be so close to just walk.

Ballys is in such a great location close to many attractions. I woukd recommend having housekeeping more frequently.

The property was clean, our room was clean, our bed was comfy. And it was nice to be on the boardwalk and enjoy their Beach Bar.

Everything is still old BUT the staff was EXCELLENT. The new Prime Park was great and Good happy hour at Carousel. Much improved from past trip a few years past. Would stay again,

The food was expensive and flavorless. Needs improvement.

Stayed for the 3 nights. It was a great experience. Had a blast! The rooms were cleaned and updated. There was one of the waitresse we were waiting for over 1 hour to get a drink . Unfortunatey i did not get her name.but remembered she was short and had a rose.tatoo on here chest.

Some restaurants are closed. The hallways could use vacuuming, but staff is friendly and helpful. Parking should be free for hotel guests.

Sad that The Yard was not open

Outdated part of the building. Dougherty’s steakhouse was great we very much enjoyed our dinner.

everything was great except I wish the restaurants were open much later. It was inconvenient after coming to the hotel after the club. There were no snacks around there was no restaurants room service or anything. it would’ve been great to have some food available until late.
