Indoor Pool is always warm!

Good location and had indoor/outdoor pools, hot tub, tennis courts and kids area. I will stay here again.

Very friendly staff at checkout. Had a first floor room with private patio on the center courtyard (outside pool) area with a private picnic table and chairs. Playground equipment was clean, tennis court didn't have a net (off season) but I think that was better for the kids (they played with an imaginary net). We used the sauna, hot tub, kiddie pool and sauna - all were clean and in working order. Pool temp was very warm/comfortable (not too much of a shock when going from the hot tub to the pool). It was off season so not very busy (which was nice for pool time - seemed to be enough tables/chairs for all families using the pool). Not sure how crazy it would be on a busy weekend as the indoor pool area isn't the biggest but perfect for the off season. They also have a pool side basketball hoop, basketballs, kickboards and misc water toys. Only issue we had was with the toaster - it should be replaced - had to hold down the handle for it to toast (ended up using the stove to toast our bagels/bread). Just a short distance from downtown Sister Bay. Overall a really cute place, would visit again.

This place worked out perfectly with the needed 2 bedrooms and shared lounge space. Was awesome to have private bathrooms off each bedroom. Pool was also nice and hot tub w sauna.

It’s definitely old school and dated but our room was clean and staff was very friendly. I was very disappointed that they closed and drained the outdoor pool on our second day and wasn’t told they were doing that. The weather was awesome and I was in there the first night and enjoyed it very much!

This property is great for a family... Pools, sauna, hot tub, clean and plenty of room... It is a short walk to Sister Bay Beach, restaurants and shopping... We will be back.

Beautiful lodge with condos. We had a two bedroom, two bath unit. Had two patios with a picnic table on one and lounge chairs on the other. Indoor pool, whirlpool and sauna were spotless. Very relaxing week. Centrally located to the most popular Door County areas.

Suites were very nice option. Would only recommend better supervision for pool/hot tub/sauna areas. Basketballs thrown from hot tub to pool out of control. Adults and kids acted like free for all and no staff around except 1 front desk worker. Note no overnight staff on site. A nice place to stay but need some better supervision of common areas like pool area.

Overall just OK. As darling, as it was, property was quite outdated. Walls in our unit were peeling and dirty. Looked like air conditioning unit was switched to new one, and work around it was never finished. Old paint, unfinished walls and nail holes were visible and very unattractive. Bedroom carpet was pink with stains, very old. I did not take my shoes off as I did not feel safe to walk on the carpet with my bare feet. Property has a huge potential, but unfortunately it is not kept up, needs a good cleaning and a huge facelift. Staff was nice and kind. For such a large property pool is extremely small. On a hot summer day, it gets overcrowded, there is absolutely no room for everyone to enjoy it. It will be a pass for our family when we visit Door co next time.

This place was amazing! The room was so spacious and clean! Even the deck outside was free from dirt and the outdoor furniture was nice and clean as well. Both pools were very well up-kept and were heated, so it was awesome! The grounds are beautiful with a nice swing set for the kids and different outdoor activities for adults as well. Will definitely be coming back!!!

We were very impressed with everything! Everything was extremely clean, very welcoming, peaceful, and staff was super nice!

Friendly, helpful staff. Very nice clean, spacious, comfortable room. well maintained facilities with all of the amenities you would want and expect.

It was going well until we discovered the mouse feces in the silverware drawer and around the garbage and recycling bin next to the kitchen.

The room was very clean and great for having a toddler. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and relaxing. We will absolutely be returning!

We love this place! Will be back again and again. The rooms are always tidy, stocked with necessities and quiet. Pool is clean and heated. Close to town but not on the main highway.

Starting with some positive, the staff was friendly. The best thing is there is a heated indoor and heated outdoor pool. That was great! However, when checking in it smelled so very badly indoors (especially in our room). Both myself and my child thought it smelled very gross, and I regreted booking. And I can tolerate a lot of less than ideal situations . In general it is very dated and needs up-keep. I can handle outdated style, but cannot handle the terrible smell. Only stayed for 2 nights and would not return. The pools are the only reason I didnt give it fewer stars.

We love to stay at this hotel the rooms are awesome, everything is always clean this is our fifth time staying there and we will definitely be back.

Very surprised at the size of the rooms, and how comfortable they were. Gas fireplace and jacuzzi tub were first class amenities that made our entire stay much more pleasant than we expected (especially since it was unexpectedly cold during our trip.) We immediately began scheduling our next trip as soon as we left.

Old hotel, just location was good. There was no good curtains or blackout so the sun was very strong at 5am at sunrise so it was impossible to sleep. No housekeeping available also so thats also a problem. Wouldn’t stay here again.

We had a great stay at the Scandinavian Lodge. The room was wonderful it had a full kitchen, dining area, living room, bedroom with a whirlpool and a large bathroom. Two exits to the deck with a great view of the outdoor pool area. This location was close to downtown Sister Bay. I will definitely be back on my next stay.

It is a nice place to stay although the air conditioning units all were so noisy my husband was unable to sleep. We would stay there again if the units were updated

It was a nice clean place! Some of the doors have sagged and need repair. Overall very nice stay! We are repeat customers, are are satisfied!

The positives - The room had everything you need for a vacation. You could pack light and be ok. Good location, close to many attractions. Small indoor pool, kiddie pool, jacuzzi. Small outdoor pool, small park for kids, tennis court. The toilet didn't work properly and they fixed it quickly. This place was built for people who want to get away somewhere small and quiet. Another plus is you can watch your Netflix on their TV (battling the noise of the AC, but still a plus). The negatives - Almost everything is outdated. There wasn't a ton of space to move around. I told them about the very loud air conditioner that woke me up and they said not to worry about it and all of the air conditioners sounded like that. The air conditioner sounded like a motorcycle was in the room or a small plane. Thank God I had earplugs or I wouldn't have slept. The pullout bed from the couch was extremely uncomfortable. They told me to put one of the kids on it. Whoever sleeps on they're pullout couch will have a backache or a ton of trouble sleeping. They don't clean the rooms daily. You put your trash and towels outside the room. I don't think the value is equal to the price. This hotel needs serious attention. I didn't bother telling them about the very noisy bathroom fan since they didnt help with the air conditioner. I wish I would've stayed somewhere else.

Great place to stay! Loved the gigantic room with the jacuzzi and fireplace features. Was nice to have a kitchen sink, fridge, microwave, and dishes. Game room and vending was fun too.

The room was spacious, had all the amenities of home, and the bathtub was the best!

I loved the Scandinavian Lodge! I stayed in a room with my sister. My favorite part was that there were 2 rooms within the room so we could have our own space. We had a very lovely room. I loved the style and color scheme. The kitchen had everything you could need. There was a TV in the living room and each bedroom. There was a spacious tub and two bathrooms. Amazing!

The living room furniture was worn and dated The shower head in the main bathroom was set too high for a person less than 6’ too adjust and the hose wasn’t long enough to use while sitting on the bench. Very poor shower design. We appreciated that the Air conditioners worked as expected since it was a very hot weekend. Our granddaughter enjoyed the pool.

The room smells moldy. The toilet and refrigerator didn't work correctly. We left a day early rather than deal with front desk. They said only Expedia can resolve issues.

We have been coming to the lodge for at least the last 5 years for weekend visits and have always found everything pleasant. We were recently there over a weekend and I disliked two things. The staff at the front desk was very short with me when I asked to use the $50 coupon that is given to guests to encourage repeat booking. In a very curt tone she informed me that we were not eligible for that since we did not book directly through the lodge. I guess we booked online this time and was not able to use that coupon. It does state that as the policy on the coupon, but for some reason I was not aware of it. Anyway it was the WAY she said it to me that was not professional. The other suggestion is to put a blanket on the bed. We had what seemed like a California King bed and the blanket in the kitchen closet area did not fit the bed. Also the blanket was soiled.

We have gone up to door county numerous times but this was the first time staying at the Scandinavian Lodge. We arrived late and the lobby was closed. Not just no one behind the desk but pitch black. Eventually another guest came out and pointed us to a late arrival box with our room keys in it. Actual metal keys. Out in the open where anyone could have take one and been hiding in our room when we went in! There was no communication about where to find this box. The parking lot was also completely full. There was no communication or signs directing us to an overflow lot where you have to get back on the highway and go around the block to find. I feel a couple of emails would have cleared up the frustration. Still baffled on the lack of security. There was also a message on the TV that staff was available at all hours…which was definitely not the case!!!

The property needs a little updating but overall it was a good value for the price. The indoor pool and hot tub were great. Had a little trouble checking in, the desk attendant was off trying to solve an issue and we waited 20 minutes for her to return.

We enjoyed our stay at the Scandinavian Lodge. The staff is outstanding and very accommodating when an unexpected event required a change in plans. Both the room and common areas were clean and well maintained.

My family and I have been coming here for many years. Amanda checked us in and provided outstanding service! The property is always clean, employees friendly, and property amenities in proper working order. We enjoy everything The Scandinavian Lodge has to offer, and we will continue to stay here whenever we visit Door County!

We enjoyed our stay and I would rate this place higher if not for the unfriendly staff! The staff at the front desk was nice at check-in, but immediately after they turned to one of the most unfriendly, rudest staff I’ve ever encountered. They completely ignore guests after check in. When returning from being out you pass right by the front. desk. In 3 days I never received a “ hello” “how are things” “any questions.” Just rude. The front desk employees acted as tho they were mad people were there. A little customer acknowledgement would go a long way.

Excellent customer service by the two wonderful ladies at the front desk! Saved the day when silly me locked my keys in my car and we couldn’t access our luggage till 3 hours later. The kind of place that helps restore faith in humanity. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

I have stayed at Scandinavian Lodge a few times before and it is always a pleasure. It's in a great location to all the attractions of Door County. The unit was nicely decorated and spotless. I highly recommend Scandinavian Lodge.

Great two bedroom accommodations. Not as walkable as I hoped, but still nice.

Great for families. 10 min walk to the Main Street, so location was perfect. Pool area and rooms were very clean, we enjoyed our stay.

Love staying here and the close proximity to downtown Sister Bay.

Easy reservation and check in. Condo very clean and well furnished. Location is excellent- close to shopping, dining and local attractions. Only thing we didn’t like was the multiple doors by bathroom and bedroom. Always hitting each other due to hall and bedroom access.

We came for a visit to celebrate my birthday and wedding anniversary and were very pleased with our stay at Scandinavian Lodge! The close proximity to shopping and restaurants as well as other towns dotting Door County made for an ideal and centrally located stay!

We have stayed in Sister Bay before, and so glad we tried out the lodge. Great experience. The 1 bedroom condo provided plenty of space for our couples trip and we loved being able to have breakfast in the morning with the great kitchen amenties. Highly recommend!!

We drove 3-1/2 hours just to get away from City life for our honeymoon. The lodge was so clean and comfy. The hotel staff was so sweet and helpful. We stayed in a one bedroom condo that was bigger than our apartment in Milwaukee. The rooms had the cutest decor and the fireplace was a much needed touch in April. The bed was not a normal hotel bed but that was not an issue. It was soft, broken in, but comfortable. The small town nearby was so quiet. We will definitely stay here again.

It was an ok hotel. Doesnt offer food for dinner or breakfast and nothing in the area opens until 11. Arcade room is outdated and vending machine is limited.

Great location, near restaurants and attractions. No food on property. Appreciated laundry facilities, pools, games, etc. friendly staff. No housekeeping services available. Worst aspect was noisy, rattling air conditioner which ran constantly and disturbed our sleep.

The Scandinavian Inn is in an excellent location walking distance to the beach and downtown businesses. The rooms are spacious, staff is helpful. We really enjoyed the outdoor pool. This is a perfect place to stay.

Liked it was close to downtown.
