Check in was great, the room look wonderful but that’s where it stopped. Went to sit by the pool but there were only about eight chairs! Food service at the pool ends at 2pm. It was 1:45pm. I went down to the front desk to ask for chairs. They said they would try to find some. I suggested that we be allowed to use the spa pool as there were chairs there but told that I would have to walk down to the Spa to ask. I told them that I was on vacation. I didn’t east to walk all the way down to the spa. Couldn’t they just call the spa for me? They sad NO!!! I asked for the hotel manager but told he did not work on weekends! I went back up to the pool, hoping they found chairs, but no chairs. The pool music was very loud and kept changing genre, which gave me a headache. I was here to relax! I tried to order my lunch but it was now 2:05pm and was told it was too late! I ordered 2 drinks. Only one bar tender on a very busy weekend! Took forever. Drinks were terrible. No clean towels at the pool. Traffic noise outside the room was high. Odd as my room was in the new deco. You’d think the windows would cut out the noise. A horrible experience

Place is very nice new and clean. Problem is knowing how to get in there I drove around place 3 times as off the main road not great signage no parking other than limited street parking or Valet for me this is bad as I go in and out a lot hate waiting for Valet and having to move car every 4 hours on street to not get towed.

This is a wonderful, upscale hotel with the expected features other than a working swimming pool. Everyone was friendly, greeted us cordially, and focused on making our stay enjoyable. The pool is closed for renovations, an alternative "the spa pool" is available, according to the front desk staff. No adjustment on the resort fee, however. Rooms are big, bathrooms are well lighted, clean, and abundantly equipped with towels. Lots of towels. The hotel is filled with art from the Alfond family collection. Everywhere art is on the walls, in display cases, etc. The hotel is a short, two block walk to busy Park Avenue with shops, restaurants, and services.

Exquisite hotel; in a very nice area near Rollins College. Very clean, and had a nice view from the 5th floor. They don’t have a parking lot or parking garage so you have to be lucky enough to find an empty parking space to the left of the hotel, or park on the 2hr limit in front of the hotel (active 8am-6pm).

Fantastic clean property. I travel a great deal for business, but this was trip was for fun, and I could not have been more than happy with the Alfond. Rooms and common area were fresh and clean. Staff were beyond friendly and accommodating. Easy walk to tons of restaurant options on Park Ave just 2- 5 minutes away. The hotel gym was one of the best I have seen.

The staff was very nice and helpful. Valets were courteous and friendly. Front desks was helpful. However, the cleaning of the rooms needs to be addressed. We checked in and there were hairs found in the shower, on the shower walls and on the bathroom floor. The front desk was informed and despite mentioning this again and being reassured it would be cleaned, the hairs remained in place the entire 4 days at the hotel. In addition, the sheet were on the wrong side and was itching until they changed them. For such a pretty hotel in a lovely neighborhood, the cleaning was not up to par! Disappointed that the sanitary cleaning just couldn't be addressed even after reporting it twice with pictures!!

Thought this hotel would be the highlight of my whirlwind tour of Florida this week with family. They gave me a key to a room with a strong smell of mold that exuded into the hallway. On my way back to the desk to get a different room one of the housekeeping people commented she didn’t know why they kept renting out that room with the mold problem. The desk supervisor said he needed managerial permission to change my room?! The desk staff were often not there or busy and my 2:00 check-in turned into a 3:15 resolution and I missed out on seeing the Morse Museum which I was looking forward to. The desk supervisor gave me complimentary breakfast to compensate for the mold issue. I enjoyed their coffee the next morning-it is very good and when I returned to the room that night found the maid did not clean or refresh the coffee station, left the melted day old ice water in the bucket and just generally did not clean well. They cheerily replenished the coffee and facecloths that night when I called. Then I was woken up at 2:00am by a woman talking and playing a video game-thin walls.There was too much time invested on my part to address the problems. It was the most expensive of the four that we we stayed in and the others were cleaner, pleasant, stress-free experiences. I asked Alfon Inn to have the manager call me and that has not happened. They have ongoing renovations but I don’t think that excuses all the problems. They do have a good cause with their profits.

Nice front staff. Rooms are well appointed, but need some touch ups in areas. Curtains were very dirty and air ducts need a deep clean. My allergies were teeing off at night. Superb location and proximity to great food. Overall, wanted more from the rooms, but liked the location and feel of the common areas.

Outside area adjacent to bar, where fire pit and surrounding areas are located, were, frankly, gross. The tables were dirty and the area badly neglected. Very disappointing

What a beautiful hotel! We had two complaints we shared with front desk.Our tv for streaming was not working even when we called to get it fixed and in the bathroom under the sink it looks like there are drawers as there are drawer handles but it is fake and when someone goes to pull them open, they can get hurt as my friend did and the entire fajedraw came off.

It was beautiful and the staff was very attentive. We were surprised at how thin the walls were. We thought that noise from adjacent rooms was a thing of the past. Overall, great hotel. Plus, I am a Rollins college Grad, so we wanted to stay there.

What a beautiful hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the location was perfect. Only issue was the elevator. I have never been in an elevator that shakes like that. Needs to be fixed.

The Alfond Inn is easily one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Great atmosphere, wonderful rooms. I loved the premier King room with the separate living room. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Very clean as well, and the staff are kind.

The minute I walked in the door I was in love with the new premium rooms at The Alfond. I would describe the decor as updated mid-century modern and it is stunning. The size of the room is the first thing you notice, and then you begin to be aware of the beautiful decor. The little touches in the room also serve to make it feel less like a hotel room and more like an apartment. The etagere that actually held real books was my favorite. The double sinks in the bathroom and the gorgeously tiled walk in shower was a close second! I was obsessed with the decorative peacock area rug that was cleverly inlaid flush with the wood composite flooring. I could go on and on, but safe to say, this is one of my favorite hotels. Location is prime, restaurant is good, workout facility is large, pool and pool area are nicely done, staff is top notch, etc. Well worth every penny and your pennies here are actually helping fund scholarships to Rollins College, as this hotel is a non profit entity of the school! A win win for visitors! A highly, highly recommended hotel for the Winter Park/Orlando area.

The hotel is beautiful and very conveniently located. Staff were friendly and attentive. The art work is amazing! We were supposed to get a free drink as part of our silver reservation package but didn't. The temperature in the room was hard to regulate. It was freezing during the day and warm at night. I tried to adjust the thermostat but didn't have much luck. Otherwise, it was great. We do plan to stay again in the future.

The Alfond Inn was a lovely place to stay. It has the look of an older building, but the modern features you want. We got a two room suite which was wonderful. There was a sitting area and a separate bedroom with a short hallway between them. Both rooms had large screen TVs. The bathroom had a nice walk-in shower. The lobby was spacious. One great aspect was the interesting artwork throughout the building. The pool was on the 2nd floor roof with a staffed bar. The restaurant was nice, but a bit pricey and there was live entertainment in the bar one night. The staff was very friendly and really helpful. And all of this was a short walk from several museums and many shops and restaurants. Winter Park was a nice town to visit and relatively close to many Orlando attractions. We had a great stay.

I had a wonderful stay! I felt SAFE and taken care of! I also come with 2 service dogs which is not an issue! ALWAYS someone to open my door! I did have a concern and it was addressed and eliminated immediately by their front desk employees and onsite Manager, Maria. She is professional and very knowledgable of the hospitality Industry and applies it to every guest like extending my checkout time! I felt like I was home! Room service was fast, delicious, and the food was excellent! Definitely will RETURN as soon as I can!

The property is beautiful but the staff could be more attentive. When I inquired about early check in I was told it wasn't available but that he would call when a room opened up. I walked around for hours but never got called. When I showed up at the hotel an hour after normal check in, it would have been fabulous if our bags had been moved up to a room, but they were still in the deposit. No one took the time to explain the property, its features, etc. It would have been really nice for staff to explain where to find the pool, the spa, the different restaurants, etc. Just seems with this beautiful a hotel that they can do better to make a guest feel welcome and want to return.

This is my fourth or fifth time staying at the Alfond Inn. It is a beautiful hotel and the perfect location I did feel on this trip. That service was not at its best. The check-in experience should have been a welcome back, but instead, it was a quick check-in with credit cards and keys exchanged and not much else it was very impersonal. It was never anyone at the concierge desk both Friday and Saturday night we had drinks and service not the best we had to wait for drinks and even had to flag the bartenders down to get service. We were never notified if housekeeping was coming or not they never did. He still highly recommend this hotel, but hope that they step up their service.

The Alfond Inn is my go to when visiting Orlando. It is always first rate. Great, clean rooms, excellent turndown service, and really nice valet parking. The lattes in the Cafe are terrific. Rico (concierge) and Michael (front desk) always provide phenomenal care for the guests. I highly recommend The Alfond.

An outstanding visit for 5 days. The staff clearly is engaged and motivated to make sure the guests are happy. The art throughout the property is stunning and makes every turn interesting and fun. Proximity to beautiful downtown Winter Park is makes dining and shopping easy. All around a fantastic hotel, fantastic staff and a beautiful stay.

I knew they were upgrading the hotel, but we had a fire alarm at 3 am that kept us in the lobby for half an hour. I am sure that it will be nicer when the upgrade is complete. Sheets were quite scratchy, shower did not work well and our waitress for breakfast was mostly not available. That being said, this is a great location in WinterPark. You can easily walk to the Central Park area and they serve an excellent breakfast. Will likely stay again after the renovation is complete

One of the most beautiful, comfortable, peaceful and relaxing hotel environment that we’ve experienced in central Florida. Fantastic location, conveniently location within a 4 minute walk to Park Ave, winter park's amazing must visit streetscape, with spectacular restaurants and shopping. This is a must visit at least once in a lifetime for all Florida residents and anyone who appreciates quality.

The Alfond Inn was a confusing experience, ultimately disappointing. A beautiful lobby art collection badly hung, and in the rooms, you can see places where the finishes were not taken care of. The rooms are quiet despite the many guests there for weddings. But I was startled to find myself charged a resort fee for each time I ordered room service—20$ plus taxes and a service charge —and that information wasn’t on any of the menus which we had to look up online. There wasn’t even clear information about how to order the food—we had to call the front desk and ask to be put through. Save yourself the trouble and the plastic boxes and go to the beautiful dining room. If I order room service in a hotel like this I want trays, silver, napkins. I don’t want it to look like it came out of door dash.

The Alfond is a not for profit hotel on the Rollins campus. Its profits are used to give students aid for their studies. Accolades to them. The only disappointment for me was the cafe and the bar area. The cafe only serves desserts and coffee. If you are looking for something more substantial you must go to the bar outside of restaurant hours. The bartender’s attention span is seriously depleted when there are on a few women sitting at the bar. It took nearly 15 min for him to realize the bar is larger that the five feet he was hovering around. A number of customers trying to engage him just gave up and left.

My review on Yelp was positive. I felt that even though there were renovations going we were never inconvenienced in the least. The amount of Art in this hotel is impressive. The ground peaceful and well kept. I had the best breakfast I e had in years at Hamiltons sitting on the patio. Beautiful hotel, I felt like someone put me back into the early 1900. Nearby shopping was fun and the scenery around town also peaceful .

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly, but there is a lot of room for improvement, in particular with the restaurant. I ordered room service and I got my food on a plastic container, and the salad was half a lettuce. Also, if you are allergic to eggs you have no luck with breakfast.

The hotel was great, service and location. We had dinner in the Hamilton restaurant, the service was good , but not the food . It came out cold!
