schönes kleines Hotel mit innenliegendem kleineren Pool, ideal für eine kurze Abkühlung. Zimmer mit Minibar (gegen Gebühr), Dachterrasse, fußläufig zur Fußgängerzone El Conde, abends eher wenig Straßenverkehr. Gutes Frühstück (3x Wahlmöglikchkeit).

Todos os funcionários atenciosos, café bom e bem servido. Boa localização da pra fazer tudo a pé. Quartos poderiam ser melhores, o chão estava muito empoeirado, o ar condicionado estava pingando. Apareceram 2 no quarto. A piscina e jacuzzi não estavam limpas tinha poeira e penas de pássaros.

Well let me start telling you guys this. I’ve been in Santo Domingo so many times due to my fiance whom has to stay there for awhile so i ve been in so many places.. that been said this cozy hotel gave us anything and everything we could hoped for.. HOT WATER fof god sakes! Lol and nice pool hot tub on the terrace, very friendly staff and excellent location.. rooms are so authentic and beds are sooo comfortable.a/c and fan in rooms and everything works! We loved it and hopefully we will stay there upcoming months as well. Highly recommend you guys won’t be disappointed I guarantee that. The pictures are real and exactly shows how the hotel looks like

Habíamos reservado dos camas y solo nos dieron una y un sofá. Vimos una cucaracha en el baño. Las calles alrededor son sucias y no son las más bonitas pero solo caminas 7 minutos y está toda la zona colonial de restaurantes y bares. Tiene una linda piscina y un jacuzzi en la parte alta. Por lo demás, el personal es de lo más amable.

The place was charming and very close to the main tourist area. Just don't walk the wrong way, because it gets sketchy pretty quickly. The staff was great and went above and beyond. Unfortunately there was an issue with the electricity in the building---it seemed to be an city infrastructure issue, and there is nothing the hotel could have done to prevent it. They actually moved us to another hotel for our last night, and they handled everything with professionalism and grace under difficult circumstances.

The people in the front desk were super, super nice, but when we got there it seems like the room we were supposed to get wasn’t ready so they tried accommodating us in a smaller room when I had payed for a bigger one. It wasn’t till I brought it to their attention that they moved us. There was black mold on the walls and in the bathroom shower heads. The bed we slept in was quite literally two twin beds put together so there was a separation between my husband and I. There was a ceiling fan but the AC never worked during our stay, (not sure if the power was really out but they kept a generator on that made a lot of noise and they kept turning it on and off during the nighttime), and the only window in the room was very small and provided 0 privacy for us if we left it opened for some breeze to enter. Also it was not very clean and I never received the two complementary drinks we were supposed to get, in fact, when my husband went to claim them, they charged him for them. Overall, the place is very different than what it looks like in the pictures.

We wanted to stay in the Colonial Zone in a Dominican owned Hotel rather than in a worldwide Hotel Franchise. We have done this before in another Hotel before and this hotel was very one-of-a-kind. The room was very clean and the mattresses were very comfy. We booked a Superior room and I would recommend it as a minimum. I did see the standard room and they are lovely too but of course smaller. Our shower water was there and hot as needed. You know what they say about Dominican water: It's hot and arrives slowly. This hotel has beat two other 4 star hotels in that regard. Every room in the hotels has its own code lock where you set the code yourself. The safe is your room, but the only thing I would suggest is to have a decent safe in the room. However, the property seems very safe as the entrance doors to the hotel are coded. There are two separate entries to the hotel as the superior room side is separate from the other main hotel. You can go through either door. Breakfast is included and is simple but sufficient and nice. At least three options and they will gladly accommodate you. Whether you are on a budget and want a great place to stay for your money or whether you want something authentic Dominican and support the local people, you will not be disappointed. You are literally in the Colonial zone in walking distance from everything i.e the Christopher Columbus Cathedrale and restaurants and shopping all around and abound. 100% recommended

The staff here is fantastic and of course the area is historical so the buildings are old. However, the ceiling fan in the room kept dispersing dried paint particles all over the room, so I would wake up and see them all over the sheets, on the floor. I mean, it can’t be healthy. So unfortunately I will not be staying there again. Great location and staff though. Breakfast was ok, and pool was small. Area is pretty safe due to a lot of police presence.

The staff were friendly and helpful, although some of the problems we had with the room were never fixed. The shower did not drain and the water temperature and pressure were very inconsistent (either burning hot or freezing cold). The safe was broken, and they replaced it, but it still never worked. The bed was quite hard. Nothing luxurious about the room. Overall, it was fine, but overpriced for what it was, and I would look for a different hotel if I return to Santo Domingo.

The room was completely different than what was represented in the photos of the “signature suite” we left the same day because we felt the room was gross and very disappointing. We asked to be moved and we were not given the option. We asked for a refund and were denied. It was such a disappointment and it ruined our anniversary trip.

About two years ago I visited this hotel but was staying in different one they gave us a tour and it was very well kept so I booked to stay on this trip. I was not even able to stay one night as the room was not well kept at all with wallpaper coming off the walls, shower not clean and blinds in room were terrible. Within 2 hours of checking in I went to the front and let them know it would not be possible for me to stay and ask if they could offer any part of refund since I was staying 4 nights I was told since it was booked through Expedia they would not offer anything. To make sure my review is honest the cancellation policy was 3 days before arrival so they were not required to give me refund. I walked and found another hotel and moved within 3 hours of check in.

Excellent service and information provided by the staff. Even though we got to breakfast too late on checkout they put together something for us, so generous. The common areas of the hotel are very welcoming and nice to hang out in. Our bed’s mattress collapsed when we got in to the room, but even though it was around 20h/8pm they sent us a carpenter who fixed it. Otherwise, I’d say the room was at the height of the price. Great location for discovering Zona Colonial which has been degrading lately so nice to stay at a place that is still in walking distance for everything. You’re more than done in four days.

The room was completely different than what was represented in the photos of the “signature suite” we left the same day because we felt the room was gross and very disappointing. I have mixed feelings about this hotel, it has one of the best guest book, it shows they care about their guests, and the hotel is in a beautiful old house, high ceilings, nice yard, lots of space for social, group activities, but on the other hand, it seems lack of maintenance in the room, at least the room I was in, wall sockets are old, my charging plug kept falling off，the hair dryer didn’t work, no lamp on the night stand, all small things, but shouldn’t happen in a Boutique hotel, I hope the changes are on the way, overall, I still like this hotel, the location is great.

I’ve been in Santo Domingo so many times due to my fiance whom has to stay there for awhile so i ve been in so many places.. that been said this cozy hotel gave us anything and everything we could hoped for.. HOT WATER fof god sakes! Lol and nice pool hot tub on the terrace, very friendly staff and excellent location.. rooms are so authentic and beds are sooo comfortable.a/c and fan in rooms and everything works! We loved it and hopefully we will stay there upcoming months as well. Highly recommend you guys won’t be disappointed I guarantee that. Didn’t get the room with bath I paid for because someone has smoking inside so they give me regular room shower only. Jaccuzi on roof top was foncional and pool was a nice plus. Breakfast was ok and a special Tks to the Night Shift réceptionniste who were really helpful. Finding a place to park in the street wasn’t easy and then you have to walk with all your luggages. Big plus directly inside the colonial zone so you can walk to explore the surrounding.
