Absolutely amazing hotel ideally situated close enough to all of the main places, including the train station. Yet still far enough away for it to not be busy and noisy on the evenings when trying to sleep. Staff are extrememly friendly and helpful. The restaurant (Lobby V) is amazing for both breakfast and dinner.

Hotel is beautifully decorated and rooms have a modern elegant feel. Being greeted by friendly staff and a glass of bubbles was a treat. We tried to drive to the hotel.., you can’t. In fact I wouldn’t recommend taking a vehicle into the historic centre of Amsterdam at all!

Hotel V was a fantastic experience for us! The staff was extremely friendly and flexible. We asked for an early check-in, and they did everything they could to accommodate our needs. The rooms are decent size and come with everything you need. The street is quiet and close to public transportation. The restaurant has excellent breakfast and dinner options if you don't want to go out. Drinks are nice too in the bar. Highly recommend!!

Superb location within easy walking distance of city centre attractions. Situated on a quiet street. One negative though is that there is no access for vehicles so taxi drops guests 50-100m away - would have been nice to have been advised of this prior to booking

This hotel has a fantastic vibe. Great location one block off a main strip. Bar staff make great cocktails, and super friendly. Everyone spoke english proficiently. Highly recommended!

I agree with some of the comments, the staff was very friendly. But we were quite disappointed with the ambiance of the room, it was very poorly lit, the furniture seemed cheap, there was a leather chair with a big stain, the view from the room was an office building and very close to our building. The water from the shower would come out and we would have to put towels outside the shower to contain the water every time we used it and there was slight sewage smell in the bathroom. It was quite depressing.

Otel çok konforluydu, konumu da mükemmeldi. Bebekli tatilimizde yatak ve mama sandalyesi için yardımcı oldular. Odalar temizdi. Restoranı ve kahvaltısından çok memnun kaldık. Amsterdam tatili için bu otel önerimizdir, tekrar gelirsek yine bu otelde kalmak isteriz.

I upgraded to a larger room and it was extremely spacious with a king size bed, sofa, and two comfortable leather chairs. The room was extremely quiet. The hotel itself is on a quiet street off of a main boulevard so it is convenient to getting anywhere in Old Town but you feel like you’re not in the middle of traffic and lots of people. The restaurant provided an outstanding breakfast. Service was excellent all around. Highly recommended.

The hotel itself is on a quiet street off of a main boulevard so it is convenient to getting anywhere in Old Town but you feel like you’re not in the middle of traffic and lots of people. Very cozy hotel with large rooms for European standards. No air-conditioning but they do provide a fan. The lighting in the room are all Edison lights and it could be pretty dim at times. Bed is very comfy and staff is very attentive. Very chic and eclectic designs. I highly encourage everyone to opt in for the breakfast. It was honestly the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. It's not a buffet, it's a legit restaurant and it's ala carte menu and you can order anything you want. The French toast, the croque madam, the scrambled eggs with feta, and the eggs royale were out of this world. It's in the red light district and very close to everything. Walkable to the Anne Frank museum, centraal train station, different flea markets, the main square with great restaurants. WiFi was strong and reliable. Would highly recommend staying here. Only downside is that they will not refund you for any reason. One person in our party had an aneurysm burst and she was intubated and in the hospital for 3 weeks and they still did not refund her or give her credit for a future visit. But I guess they do mention no refunds. the free water and hot chocolate they give you in the room was delicious.

Unfortunately, our room had a very small window, making it quite dark. The bath robe had a hole on the back, under the logo. The restaurant and food were excellent. Would go back to the restaurant, the hotel was too expensive for room quality and mood.

The shower is amazing and they have robes and slippers! Bed is great, pillows are great, location is great. After a lot of hits and misses on our European trip this hotel gave us back our sanity and some much needed good sleep. Highly recommend, near everything but quiet and tucked into an alley. Missed the breakfast but it sounds great and affordable.

Great experience. Was able to check in quite early as our room was the first cleaned on their list. Very lucky as we just got off a 9 hour flight! The dining area had nice food options at night and the morning breakfast which was included for us was high quality. Really cool boutique feel hotel with a nice low key vibe. Within 10 min walk of almost everything in Amsterdam.

Staff lovely, friendly, kept our luggage for us as we arrived at 9.30 and emailed us to say room was available before 11.00. Also kept our luggage on last day until 18.00 and arrange a taxi for us.

Check in was smooth and efficient. I was offered a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival. Front desk personnel were warm and welcoming. The room was adequate size but I found it too dark. The soundproofing in this hotel is nonexistent. Noises from the adjoining room and hallway were aggravating. The shower drain had obviously been worked on before my arrival and the drain cover was left off the drain. The shower water valve knob was extremely difficult to turn and would have been impossible for some people to operate. The king sized bed was quite comfortable, but in my opinion a 4 star hotel should include a mini fridge in the room. Overall, I would rate the room itself as merely average. I had breakfast at the hotel and the food was very good. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow despite the fact that very few customers were dining when I was there. The most outstanding feature of this hotel is the location. It is perfectly located just off Dam square with quick access to trams and the metro. I was fortunate to book at a very reasonable rate, but given the usual rate structure I would seek other accommodations if a special was not offered.

So I stayed with them only for the last night of my original booking. Unimpressed. Breakfast was very basic, no gym, no useful facilities.

I upgraded to a larger room and it was extremely spacious with a king size bed, sofa, and two comfortable leather chairs. The room was extremely quiet. The hotel itself is on a quiet street off of a main boulevard so it is convenient to getting anywhere in Old Town but you feel like you’re not in the middle of traffic and lots of people. The restaurant provided an outstanding breakfast. Service was excellent all around. Highly recommended.

Superb location within easy walking distance of city centre attractions. Situated on a quiet street. One negative though is that there is no access for vehicles so taxi drops guests 50-100m away - would have been nice to have been advised of this prior to booking

Hotel V was a fantastic experience for us! The staff was extremely friendly and flexible. We asked for an early check-in, and they did everything they could to accommodate our needs. The rooms are decent size and come with everything you need. The street is quiet and close to public transportation. The restaurant has excellent breakfast and dinner options if you don't want to go out. Drinks are nice too in the bar. Highly recommend!!

Very cozy hotel with large rooms for European standards. No air-conditioning but they do provide a fan. The lighting in the room are all Edison lights and it could be pretty dim at times. Bed is very comfy and staff is very attentive. Very chic and eclectic designs. I highly encourage everyone to opt in for the breakfast. It was honestly the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. It's not a buffet, it's a legit restaurant and it's ala carte menu and you can order anything you want. The French toast, the croque madam, the scrambled eggs with feta, and the eggs royale were out of this world. It's in the red light district and very close to everything. Walkable to the Anne Frank museum, centraal train station, different flea markets, the main square with great restaurants. WiFi was strong and reliable. Would highly recommend staying here. Only downside is that they will not refund you for any reason. One person in our party had an aneurysm burst and she was intubated and in the hospital for 3 weeks and they still did not refund her or give her credit for a future visit. But I guess they do mention no refunds. the free water and hot chocolate they give you in the room was delicious.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel even with our 6 month old baby. We took the superior double and it had a baby crib ready and was big and spacious. Staff was great. Service was great. Shower is awesome. Breakfast is not that good I wouldn’t take it unless you have to. Perfect location and quiet. Overall I recommend.
