Room Mate Aitana, Amsterdam

The hotel is centrally located - just a few minutes walking distance from downtown. The rooms were clean and had a cool design. However, from a five star hotel I would expect that they get their broken elevator working within four days. We had to carry our luggage down and up ourselves.

Excellent room and friendly staff - just a shame they were decorating and our room number was paper stuck on with tape, and the corridor smelt of paint and we were surrounded by wet paint signs!

Wir waren mit dem Auto nur 3 Tage in Amsterdam und mit dem Hotel und dessen Lage sehr zufrieden. Hervorragend war das Parkhaus "Interparking" direkt gegenüber. Besser geht es fast nicht. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 12 Stock mit toller Aussicht. Die Zimmer waren groß, geräumig und sehr sauber. Der einzige kleine Kritikpunkt war das Frühstück. Es gab zwar eine gute Auswahl, jedoch waren Tassen und Teller tlw. vergriffen. Auch bei den Speisen und Getränken wurde nur spärlich nachgefüllt. Besser wäre auch ein 2. Kaffeeautomat gewesen, damit man nicht zu lange anstehen muss. Das Personal war nett und freundlich, jedoch konnte man den Eindruck haben, dass der ein oder andere Mitarbeiter(in) nicht ganz mit dem Herzen bei der Arbeit war. Dennoch kann man sagen, alles in allem ein tolles Hotel.

Very poor location. Long walking distance from the hotel to practically anywhere besides the central station. It’s located on a isolated pier with nothing interesting around. The hotel itself is a bit boring. The elevators a joke. Very slow and always crowded. Not possible to buy anything extra like a soda or amenities at the hotel. No kiosk or vending Machines available. All in all not worth the price.

Rooms were slightly dated. 2/3 lifts were down on the first day, TV was completely down on last day. Aircon did not function well throughout, hotel had to provide a small fan.

Localização ótima, bem próxima a estação central porém um pouco distante da região movimentada. Quartos extremamente silenciosos(melhor acústica que já vi em hotel), café da manhã completo. Ponto negativo: elevadores demorados, e check in sem entrega do quarto no horário correto, e no nosso caso nos cederam um quarto melhor "front view", e que de início queriam cobrar uma taxa a mais e não aceitamos porque além de não estarem com um quarto pronto mesmo já estando além da hora de check in, não achamos justo.

Be aware the hotel is under renovation and it wasnt advertise!!They sent a message after we booked that the loby and restaurant are under construction. It wasnt possible to cancel since our reservation was booked on the same day... otherwise room was clean.

Very nice modern hotel in a great location. Large rooms and very comfortable beds. Great breakfast. Main issue was that the lifts kept breaking - there was only one out of three working for most of the five nights that we were there and as we were on the 11th floor we spent a long time waiting for lift

Jättebra läge, nära till mycket. Blev besviken på skicket av rummet, hårstrån på kuddar, smulor på sängen, smutsiga glas. Städerskan knackade på första kvällen, öppnade dörren och frågade om vi behövde kaffe eller socker, vilket kändes udda. Mycket bekväm säng och rymligt rum, fin utsikt. Frukosten var helt för dyr för vad som erbjöds. Disk plockades inte bort så man kunde inte sitta vid borden med fönsterutsikt, vilket var tråkigt.

Nice hotel. Clean with good sized rooms and comfortable beds. Reasonable walk from Central Station Reception staff are great, although could do with more at peak times. The only reason not 5 stars were a couple of incidents. On the second day, we had put the no housekeeping sign on the door. However someone still came into the room. They made the beds, took the used towels (which were hanging up) and did not replace them and put clean glasses in the fridge leaving the fridge door not quite closed- we had oat milk in there! They also left the master key in the room, which I promptly took to reception- and got an apology. I wonder if it was a new staff member? On our last day one of the lifts was out of order so we tried to walk down the stairs leading to getting lost as the stairs change location on the second floor. Signs would be useful! Regardless would definitely stay again.

The Hotel is gorgeous in a brilliant location within easy walking distance of the old town staff on reception and in the bar and restaurant super friendly and very helpful. The only reason for the low score on cleanliness was the very terrible room service, our room was supposed to have been cleaned on x 2 days during a four night stay, the Bathroom was just left dirty and was actually not clean on our check in, I used my antibac wipes to clean the Bathroom myself, on our second night we were searching for some drinking glasses these were found inside the mini bar nothing wrong with that only the fact that one glass was actually filthy with lipstick marks still around the rim!! on the last supposed clean of our room the sink in the bathroom was left dirty the shower inside was not clean and we were left without soap I do not usually complain but the lack of hygiene was disgusting especially in a Bathroom this really lets a gorgeous hotel down, I did let Reception know about this issue.

Overall, the stay was very good. However, we noticed some spots on our sheets, which was disappointing. Additionally, there was a local tax that had to be paid upon arrival, but this was not communicated in advance. We only learned about it when we were unable to access our room because our key was blocked. This information should have been shared during check-in or communicated beforehand via email or phone, especially as I urgently needed to use the bathroom at that moment. Aside from these issues, the hotel is conveniently located near the city center, the staff is kind and quiet, and the rooms were clean apart from the sheets.

We were on the 12 floor we loved the room, and view. We did request for them to change the sheets as they were stained which was done immediately. There were some minor cosmetic things that could be updated. The coffee machine was only for small tiny coffee had to use 3 pods for a small coffee, I usually bought coffee when we were out. Loved the location. Had one issue with getting the room cleaned no one came so I cleaned it myself and got fresh towels off the cart I found. We would still recommend this hotel to everyone.

The room was very spacious and clean. There was nothing to complain about, except that the elevator had problems a few times, and we had to wait quite a while.

At first, we were given a room with no closet and the vanity sink which was in the bedroom rather than in the bathroom. The room had an awkward slanted ceiling. We requested another normal room which was nice and normal.

It was a great day, except the air conditioning was broken and the rooms were really warm and the windows didn’t open that much. But it was a great hotel otherwise

We stayed here at the end of September. The weather was quite cold, but since the hotel hadn’t switched to winter mode yet, the air conditioning couldn’t heat the room completely. Other than that, everything was great, a peaceful and pleasant stay overall.

Beautiful hotel in a great location, rooms are lovely and clean and a great size, just missing a full length, only one mirror in the whole room is over the sink.

The room was marvellous, but the emergency door outside the room was annoying. It kept banging loudly and woke me up at night.

Great room and lovely view :) staffs were okay. WiFi seemed to me an issue for the first day secondly very loud drilling noise at 6am which really put me off! Otherwise great location and clean hotel

The room was large and the big windows were nice. Everything was very clean, and the bed comfortable. It got dark quickly, however, and the room didn't have that many lights.

Would absolutely stay here again. Alexandra at reception / check in was fantastic. She gave a lot of good suggestions on things to do / places to eat.

The hotel is fine. Location is nice about 15 minute walk from central station. Our experience was not good in checking in. We were friends travelling from different places and my two friends arrived before me. As I booked it, the hotel would not let them check in despite me sending my passport picture and written permission and confirmation of the booking to them whilst they were stood trying to check in: The hotel staff watched them sit on the sofas in reception late In to the evening obviously very tired, until I arrived at 12.15 am and then allowed me to show my picture of my passport.

Big ❤️ to all at Aitana! My third stay at your hotel which was acknowledged at check in, without requesting an upgrade. That attention to detail and customer loyalty always goes a long way. Looking forward to returning in the not so distant future. Top notch on all levels.

I left my wedding ring in the hotel and staff found it. They are holding it till my ship returns so that I can pick it up before heading to airport. The hotel rooms are modern and clean. Hotels located in the river not too far from the cruise port and tourist attractions.

Great customer service at the front desk

The staff were incredible, special shout out to Davide I think who was top notch customer service. Great stay.

Unfortunately I’m not able to rate a 5 star review. This is my experience: Day 1, we found out the shower drain was block, found myself my legs being soaked in the shower with dirty water, had to get out of shower quickly (about 2 mins shower) worried the water gonna run out the shower room and flood the entire bathroom. Day 2, around 10:30 am wake up and rang the reception desk to request to fix the drain, they promised will do that during the day. Came back to hotel in the late evening, 10 pm found out the shower is still blocked. Rang the reception desk they said will get back to wait. Waited about 30 min no one back to me. Rang again, they requested me to hold the phone , waited, then they said to provide me a different room which is located on 6th floor ( my room is on 9th floor) for a shower only. And will let me know when the room is ready. Waited another 30 mins. No one ever contact me and I had to ring AGAIN, they said just 5 mins someone will bring me a room key. Waited another hour. No one ever bring me a key or fix the drain. It’s 11:50 pm. I was too tired to wait so I rang the reception please don’t bother to bring me key anymore I need to sleep now. It’s horrible. Day 3, 10 am in the morning I rang the reception desk Again, they apologised about last night and offered me free breakfast for the next day. And they also sent someone to fix the drain finally, actually they could have done that one day before. Drain finally fixed. Thank god.

Always come back to this hotel as it’s lovely. Everywhere is clean. Staff on the desk are very friendly and welcoming and will happily come back again. Only reason it is not a 5 this time around is the fact that the housekeeping staff continuously kept trying to come into our room to clean it despite us having the do not disturb sign on which made us feel uncomfortable as felt a disregard for privacy. Informed the staff at the desk who apologised. Hopefully if we stay again this doesn’t happen but apart from this always a lovely place.

Very close to Amsterdam Train Station. About a 15m walk. You can catch a train from the airport. We trained and flew out of London afterwards and caught the Eurostar Train. Then walking 2 min straight from the front of the station is the srart of a tourist area.. Hotel.is quiet as not close to a main road. Great views as basically on the water. Very friendly and helpful staff as well!

Good experience overall, rooms are nice and modern. Room service has no choice and doesn’t work, should really be improved for a hotel like that. Location is not great unless you are there for the main station.

Clean property and safe quiet area, friendly staff, close to many actractions (10 - 15 min walk/short drive)

Habitaciones impecables, personal muy atento a pesar de no tener un inglés fluido, hicieron todo lo posible por entender, es un poco retirado de algunos museos, para hacerse una idea, está a una hora caminando del museo de van gogh.

The hotel was good, staff were excellent however the restaurant was not open and the breakfast was just adequate.

Close to the train station and a lot of close walkable dining options. The staff isn’t the friendliest but when I did have a problem they came to help me fix it with no issues. I tried to eat at the restaurant but after waiting for about 15 minutes a server never came so I went elsewhere. All in all it’s good option that is easy to access and is very clean

Enjoyed our stay - staff was very friendly and efficient. We got our room early. The only issue - wished the bar and kitchen were open later.

Hotel com excelente infraestrutura, porém com um serviço fraco especialmente no café da manhã. Reposição muito demorada e a retirada e limpeza das mesas deficientes. Após as 10 da noite não existe serviço no bar interno para lanche ou comida somente bebidas.

Very nice and big room, friendly staff and good location. The bar/restaurant area was also nice. Breakfast was overall good (nice yoghurt bar and various greens and eggs), wished for a bit more options of bread/crackers and cheeses, and organic options in general. The fitness room was fresh and good for a hotel gym (could have had some more weights/a wreck) available.

Quarto enorme, com vista linda, limpo, moderno, ferro de passar, super TV, frigobar… impecável! Café da manhã PERFEITO - praticamente um almoço.

The location is great, and the hotel room was of good size and offers a good view. We would recommend this hotel if you prefer staying close to the Central Station. The breakfast buffet was good but there were flies in the food area.
