Awesome stay. Cool little room with everything you could want, nice and quiet (on a Wednesday night). Car park was full when I arrived but there is free evening parking nearby so there was no issue. Walkable to shops and pubs/restaurants. Will be back. Oh, also staff was excellent and they had liquid dnb playing in the lobby in the evening. Loved it.

Just off the high street, so great location. Very limited parking so parked at the White Hart across the road, which was OK. Nice little hotel, rooms are very small but comfortable and contain everything you need. Stayed on horse racing weekend which I guess that was why the room price was so high, otherwise it would have been expensive for the standard of room.

I booked this hotel specifically as it said onsite parking. When we arrived there was no where to park. We had to park in a pay and display get up at the crack of dawn to buy another ticket so we didn't get a fine. Not happy.

On arrival staff were welcoming and friendly. There was not a lot of parking available, however staff shuffled around a few cars and parked my car for me. Really nice touch. There was a disco going on and a nice happy atmosphere. Our room no.25 - lovely big bed and had everything we needed. Nice touch with the fridge, microwave, toaster, plates etc and tea / coffee making facilities. Room was clean. Our room overlooked the pub garden which was an experience, tinted windows would be better as we had to keep closing the curtains - no privacy. We stayed for 2 nights and went to the races on Saturday- there is a complimentary bus from outside the Unico restaurant around the corner which was a bonus. The location of the hotel is perfect for the town - right in the middle and races which is 5 mins up the road. The only downside was the cleaning staff shouting loudly at each other which woke us up on the first morning, crashing around. Also there was a smoking bin outside our window so staff smoking and loudly talking made our room smell of cigarettes. I would suggest staff don’t discuss previous guests, rooms, what they did last night and other staff in customer facing areas and be mindful they can be heard. Discos on Friday and Saturday night but this didn’t keep us awake The garden was lovely to sit out in the sunshine - lots of seating outside and in covered pods. Great location, friendly bar staff, lovely room I would stay again as long as cleaning staff weren’t so noisy

Nice room. Friendly staff. No breakfast just a take away box , not gluten free. Gluten free beer in bottles , crazy price but nice to have. Tiny car park. I will stay again.

Everything you need , microwave , tea coffee etc Bit expensive but everything is these days Needs updating but enjoyed stay

What a beautiful hotel it was really nice in the evening to have some music outside while we chilled out with a drink

Check-in very easy, staff very efficient and knowledgeable. Room was great, small kitchenette with sink and microwave next to the bed was a bit odd but I'm sure helpful to some even though I didn't use them this stay. My only negative and reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was having to go out back through a service area to reach the room I was assigned. It caused no real problem for me and was secure (behind locked gates so no public access) but was a bit of a disconnect from the amazing sprawling venue inside that they appear to have done so much work on to make look and feel amazing. Great stay, reasonable to competitive price against other local options when booking the day before staying as I did, would definitely stay there again.

Booked this hotel as we were going to Newmarket races to see Pete Tong. The hotel is central to Newmarket and there is a coach to take and collect us to the races. The hotel was expensive for what it was, but it was a race day so I guess they can charge this. We did manage to get a parking space outside the hotel, which was really good. Our room was only accessible via fire escape type stairs, not very good if you have had a drink. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We really appreciated having air-conditioning as it was a hot evening the room was boiling and it allowed us to have a good night sleep. It’s a shame that our room did not include breakfast given the amount of money we paid. The shower was not very good as it was in a bath and it was difficult to get the correct temperature, and the water pressure wasn’t great. If the shower was better then we would’ve given this hotel a better star rating. That said the bed was comfortable and we slept well.

Very helpful staff,lovely spotless room.Good to have fridge,Microwave and toaster (midnight snacks!! Excellent.

Comfortable, friendly & clean accommodation in centre of Newmarket town.

Upon entering the hotel the hotel lobby and stair area corridors and in much need of repair and refreshing although the room was clean and the bed was comfortable he was all a bit dated the noise when we returned at night was awful thumping noise went on till late downstairs and then afterwards there was people talking and shouting outside and doors banging in the corridors I’m afraid it wasn’t a very pleasant stay TV remote didn’t work Parking was a major problem considering the priceYou pay and charge for this room I don’t think it was value for money

A great price for a centrally located stay in Newmarket for my daughter's graduation. Everything I needed, great location, quiet, spotlessly clean.

The room was clean, tidy and bright. The only thing I will say is the size of the room is quite small. The bathroom was well laid out, but again a bit on the small size. The host couldn't have been more helpful. I would have like a proper breakfast but the offer of a breakfast box was on offer, which I didn't take up so can't comment on that.

My friend didn’t stay because the bottom sheet had dried bloodstains on it, she used the shower to freshen up, if you want me to keep this to myself I want a better rate offered to me for another stay otherwise I will feel compelled to share it, I will be in your hotel to speak to the manager within an hour or two. We stayed at Kings as it was near to Newmarket racecourse. The hotel was very welcoming we stayed in room 15 which was a good size room it was clean and the bed was very comfy. The staff were all friendly & helpful. We'd definitely stay here again.

Kings had everything we needed for an overnight stay and at a very reasonable price. Clean room with huge bed, small but decent shower, tea & coffee making with plenty of supplies, plus a microwave, fridge, kitchen sink, crockery & cutlery. Also hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Central location, taxi rank just across the road. Staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. Would definitely use again if we're in the area.

DO NOT BOOK room 31 or 32, they are incredibly noisy. Impossible to sleep from 7am onwards, and as late as 2am, the doors are constantly banging shut, with people coming and going.

One night stay after a visit to the races, was made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in. We thought the hotel had only just opened as it was so trendy, clean & tidy and free from any damages that we could see! Food was delightful, service was so good considering they were planning a party for Halloween also. Have never felt so welcome at a hotel. Will most definitely want to stay again!

The lady on reception was amazingly helpful, friendly, and very informative about the hotel and local amenities. She was a star.room was excellent and clean,as was the reception/bar areas. would definitely recommend kings to anyone.

The staff were great, there was a small issue and we were phoned straight away, and they came to see us when we got back. Faultless.

There was rubbish from previous guest in room. I asked about getting a taxi for the following morning and was handed a telephone number. This hotel had poor unwelcoming service. It was cheap.

Great location

The Kings has been modernised to a high standard. It has good facilities in the room though the water temperature in the shower was too hot. It is very convenient for the High Street and a range of good restaurants.

My stay was Dec 26-29, booked months in advance. When booked was not told that restaurant would be closed during my entire stay! Also during my stay, hotel management limited access. Also room window was such that could not latch at bottom, needs repair. I've been very pleased with my previous stays there, though this time I was less mpressed!

Alll good. An older hotel in the centre of Newmarket but everything worked well. Had dinner in their restaurant one night and it was excellent. Only issues...the bed was shorter than I am used to and at only 5 foot eight I had to be careful to keep my feet from going over the edge. Not advised for tall people. Some rooms face a nightclub across a small courtyard and sensitive ears might not like the noise which while not excessive and not a problem to us might annoy some.

Although the service from staff was very good and efficient the quality of the food let them down. The room I had could do with a decent shower.

Good food and comfortable bed. Thats all you need.
