Lovely bay windowed room with garden views and enormous bathroom. We booked the upgraded room and the main difference to our friends standard room seemed to be the room location and the size of and facilities in the bathroom (we had twin washbasins, large bath, separate large shower, bidet, wc). The breakfast was very good. Plenty of parking. No dinner facilities or bar, but close to lots of bars and restaurants in the town.

Unique property, room 8 was lovely with view over the gardens. Comfy bed & traditional furniture. Amazing bathroom, with bath and nice toiletries. No dining facilities other than breakfast and bar was closed for private event during our stay. Breakfast room was very opulent, good choice of breakfast cooked to order. With buffet for cereals/ pasty and fruit etc. Only disappointment was the toast, rather dry. Very interesting place with so much history and lots of pictures/memorabilia relating to both horse racing & the Jockey club - Worth a visit.

Just a one night visit,. Stayed here twice before and will again. Friendly staff, good car parking, lots of racing history line the walls and corridors, beautiful reception rooms and well appointed bedrooms. And to top it all a great breakfast!

From an easy check-in to departure, all of the staff were so friendly, helpful and efficient during our visit. Such an amazing place to stay; steeped in history, paintings and such wonderful exhibits of horse racing history. A special thank you to Bruno … we visited the Bar and alongside great drinks, he shared his extensive knowledge with regards to the incredible paintings and history of the remarkable exhibits. Our room was very comfortable and clean, as was the bed. Breakfast was delicious. Car parking facilities superb. Brilliant location. Needless to say we cannot wait to return.

Enjoyed stay in a fantastic historical setting. However, disappointing the members bar was closed for no apparent reason. Would have been nice to have a packet of biscuit with the tea provided in the room.

Nice comfortable spacious room and bathroom- Convenient location in central Newmarket Easy parking Breakfast was consistently fantastic. I stay in hotels 4 nights every week - If they could open a jockey club in every city in the U.K. my business life would be so much more pleasant. Thanks to all the staff who were exceptional.

Room and bathroom beautifully equipped and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were amazing. All staff were very welcoming and hospitable. Great base to explore the area. It was unfortunate while we were there that the lift was out of order, making it difficult for my elderly disabled mother to get to and from our first floor room. Access to a lounge or somewhere to sit in the evenings would have made it perfect.

The place was absolutely amazing and the staff were so friendly, the grounds and the accommodation were immaculate and its one of the most comfortable and cosiest hotels I've stayed in for a long time, lots of history int he building around horse racing so definitely a favourite with me.

Absolutely wonderful but we did have the best room (The Kings Suite) The only thing I would say is the windows need cleaning as the sun was beaming in the morning and it showed them up terribly. But everything else was just amazing from the suite to the art, and all the interest around racing. Breakfast was lovely too.

Lovely service and excellent breakfast. Pillows could have been firmer. We would definitely stay again but request a room further from the road as pub opposite had loud music until midnight and subsequent traffic noise.

What a lovely stay! English horse racing-history is showcased in the Jockey Club. Come enjoy the gallery of gorgeous paintings. The complimentary breakfast was top rate, lovely choices including cold and hot breakfast options as well as gluten free options. Our room was quiet and well appointed: comfortable bed, spacious room, wardrobe and en-suite bathroom. Staff were gracious and welcoming. We enjoyed walking to local restaurants in Newmarket. The Jockey Club is a fantastic place to stay.

A unique place to stay especially if you are a horse racing fan. Our room was beautifully quiet, spacious, characterful, clean and comfortable with a lovely view over the Jockey Club Gardens. The Breakfast quality is exceptional. The staff are exemplary. There are plenty of dining options within easy walking distance. There is a dress code. Gents should take Jacket and tie.

Fabulous stay at The Jockey Rooms. Room 11 had lovely views of the grounds where we saw the horses being walked round in the morning. The biggest bathroom and a superb breakfast. Perfect location for Newmarket racecourse. I can’t wait to return.

We stayed for one night and had a fantastic time. The staff were so very helpful particularly when checking in, they walked us to our room. At breakfast again the staff were brilliant in accommodating my gluten and dairy intolerance. We even received a tour of the hotel and learnt a lot about the history of the building. Really hope to be able to return soon.

At breakfast again the staff were brilliant in accommodating my gluten and dairy intolerance. We even received a tour of the hotel and learnt a lot about the history of the building. Really hope to be able to return soon.

Located in the centre of town and my car was parked in the Jockey Club carport throughout my stay. Very quiet, clean rooms with lots of toiletries and towels. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was superb, thank you

Very pleasing and wonderful location. On the High Street, could not be better and still very prívate. Parking was very easy. Room was small but clean and full of character. Breakfast was excellent.

What a lovely stay! English horse racing-history is showcased in the Jockey Club. Come enjoy the gallery of gorgeous paintings. Fabulous stay at The Jockey Rooms. Room 11 had lovely views of the grounds where we saw the horses being walked round in the morning. The biggest bathroom and a superb breakfast. Perfect location for Newmarket racecourse. I can’t wait to return.

Lovely rooms, helpful and friendly staff, right in the center of Newmarket. They are often fully booked, but if you can get a room, especially during racing season, it is well worth it.

Unique property, room 8 was lovely with view over the gardens. Comfy bed & traditional furniture. Amazing bathroom, with bath and nice toiletries. No dining facilities other than breakfast and bar was closed for private event during our stay. Breakfast room was very opulent, good choice of breakfast cooked to order. With buffet for cereals/ pasty and fruit etc. Only disappointment was the toast, rather dry. Very interesting place with so much history and lots of pictures/memorabilia relating to both horse racing & the Jockey club - Worth a visit.

A unique place to stay especially if you are a horse racing fan. Our room was beautifully quiet, spacious, characterful, clean and comfortable with a lovely view over the Jockey Club Gardens. The Breakfast quality is exceptional. The staff are exemplary. There are plenty of dining options within easy walking distance. There is a dress code. Gents should take Jacket and tie.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Stunning room with a huge bathroom everything you would expect. I booked this as a surprise for my daughter & her boyfriend for my daughters birthday. We were unaware of a dress code, I did read the small print but found nothing about a dress code in the hotel. At 19 years old they had casual trousers & trainers so felt they could not go into Breakfast this morning, which is such a shame as they left the hotel & spent out for breakfast elsewhere. Only in the hotels room pack information did they read about a certain dress code. They have stayed in more luxurious hotels overseas & in the UK with ourselves without a dress code, this made them feel uncomfortable which is such a shame.

First 2 doors locked. Found a 3rd door but no1 there. Waited till someone came. Kettle lead didn't reach the plug, so boiled kettle on the floor. Bed comfortable. Room clean. Didn't stay for breakfast as starts at 7.30 & that was too late for me. The artwork on walls is lovely.
